@Olmaz Did we play the same game? I only played it for about 5h but the characters were very uninteresting, the voice acting was stiff and so were the animations of the characters during dialogs, the world has the same puzzles copy&pasted everywhere and the gameplay was very simplistic

But the atomosphere is great, I'll give the game that

It definitely was great but nothing will beat 2017 for me with games like BotW, Persona 5, Nier Automata, Tales of Berseria, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and many more

@get2sammyb Same. I like RPGs so I gave BG3 a chance. I played it for about 15h and I can definitely tell that it's a very incredible game, but the combat, the RNG, the complexity etc just isn't for me

Think I'll wait til the second DLC releases. It's been a while since I played FF16 so by now I have forgotten how the combat works which means I would need to relearn it for a short DLC and then again relearn it once the second DLC releases

Genshin is a good game (gacha aside) but I'm 100% sure that most people only vote for it because they will receive free item if it wins. And that completely defeats the point of the award

Also it's kinda weird that a game that didn't release in 2023 and already won that award even gets nominated again. I think games like that should be restriced to the "Best Ongoing Game"-Award, while every other award is for 2023 games only

I have never played Shenmue myself but I heard that a lot of fans didn't like Shenmue 3 because it basically was just filler (it didn't move the overall story forward) despite having waited many years for it.

So I'm pretty sure fans will be happy to hear that the potential next game will be a prequel /s
