@Deoxyr1bose Dude right? Everyone seems to be in love with the Octopath look but from the start I thought it looked hideous. I liked what they were generally going for but the end result always looked muddy and washed out and just plain ugly. This style is FAR superior. Just one guys thoughts.

I just NEED more news on FF16 and PSVR2. Not to mention the legacy games coming to the new program.

The high difficulty was one of the primary reasons I skipped this one. Maybe ill pick it up now.

@Niktaw I remember being so hyped for X and really liking it when it first came out but I actually can't stand that game now. Honestly, I really like the story and it has some good moments but ultimately, the protagonist is what makes or breaks a game for me and I think Tidus is one of the worst, most unlikable protags of RPG history. (I did really enjoy XII too.)

@Shepherd_Tallon For sure. IX has always been my favorite of all time. Its a fantastic game but the time in my life when I experienced it gave it a nostalgic power thats off the charts. Haha

@Shepherd_Tallon Me too! Most promising looking one since 9! Even though it was clearly an early build, trailer 1 was awesome!

One of the main reasons I invested in a PS5. FF was what got me into gaming with FF2 on the Super Nintendo. I've disliked them all after 9 (12 was ok though) so I'm praying this one delivers. Can't wait for a new look and release date!

80 hours in and the only thing I've seen are a few glitchy pop ins during a cinematic or two. The game is amazing!

@Serge_G Totally see where you're coming from but in my case, I actually won't touch Elden with a 10 foot pole. I despise games whose point is just to be insanely difficult. Always hated all the Souls games for that reason. I dont find inherently 'hard' games enjoyable at all. On the other hand, I'm LOVING Horizon. While its doing nothing new with open world mechanics, the story is fantastic which will trump all other aspects for me almost everytime. Its why I liked Zero Dawn way more than Breath of the Wild (and I'm a Nintendo fanboy). Story is everything.

I have zero interest in any of the games mentioned except Horizon. Currently at 60 hours and absolutely loving it.

CANNOT WAIT for this thing.

Because this half effort will sell poorly, SE will assume that Chrono games don't sell well and will shelf Chrono Trigger yet again for another decade.

Finally upgraded to PS5 yesterday from an OG PS4. Ready to keep playing it in its full glory! 60fps is incredible!

My decision entirely rests on what kind of lineup the classics have.

Legacy content locked behind a massive pay wall is a real kick to the gonads.

As a Playstation casual, I'm super pissed that I'll need to pay a ludicrous amount of money for the top tier just to get PS1 and 2 games. I will literally never play online or touch any of the 400+ free games. I expected no less but still upset. Praying now there is some kind of family plan like NSO has so I can split the cost...

My humble hope is that Spartacus will enable me to play PS1 games. Specifically Legend of Dragoon and Megaman Legends. That's it.

I just want legacy games. Praying I don't have to pay a pricey tier for features I'll never use.

I'll pass. Was hoping it wouldn't have that trademark insane difficulty. Thats a turn off for me personally that trumps all other good things about it.

@TooBarFoo That's amazing that you use NMS to escape your wheelchair! So glad you've invested in a powerhouse PC so you can treat yourself to experiences like that.

Yeah, even with very low quality and with the frankly trash Move controllers, playing NMS in VR is an experience I'll never forget. There are a handful of moments in my 30-year gaming career that were standout moments of magic. Things that redefined the way I see games and what they can do. Taking off into the vastness of space in my rickety ship in NMS VR was one of those moments.

I can't believe how good this game looks in the screenshots. I've only ever played it in PSVR where it literally looks like a PS2 game. Haha. Its still incredible though. The amount of updates is nothing short of mind boggling. Every time I see an update I feel like I have to start over. Maybe I'll wait until I have the PS5 and VR2. Lol
