I've owned this game on multiple systems and will happily buy it again. Loooots of good memories playing it on GBA (lol) in the car, trying to solve puzzles as I drove around with my mom running errands. I loved point and clicks as a kid and would KILL for a Kings Quest V remake. One of my favorite games of all time.

The animation looks kinda cheap. I dunno...something about it seems off. I don't see any big indicators yet that it will be woke, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

The mods will be absolutely nuts. All I want is to play as Tachy. Haha

I owned this growing up on PC, PS1, GBA, and DS. Guess it's time to buy it again. Lol

This seems like a complete hassle and from what I hear it's pretty buggy/shoddy. I guess it was too much to hope for for it to just plug into the USB port and play like on PS5.

UGH. More Marvel crap. I know I'm in the minority not giving a lick (to put it very mildly) about Marvel or Disney but Fortnite had just done WAY too much with it. It's basically a Marvel game now with Fortnite additions.

Oh man! How awesome would that be if they decided to support it now!?

I kinda hate the silent protag. To be honest, it can work for some types of games (like Mario) and it worked a lot better back in the 90s, but the big con to it is it automatically puts a ceiling on how impactful an RPGs story can be. A story is only as good as its characters and if your character is an empty shell with no soul, the ability to connect with and affect a player is severely diminished. Its the one thing holding Chrono Trigger back from being THE best RPG of all time in my opinion.

Not until you bring it (or Rescue Mission) to VR2.

That amazing secret D&D cutscene alone makes this game worth it. Lol

I've looked at every picture and video for this game on the PS Store and read the description and still have no idea what kind of game it is. Lol

Sony are absolute idiots for not leaning heavily into Astro this gen and solidifying him as thier Mario. He's perfect in every way for the job.
Sony are bigger idiots for not making this game PSVR2 compatible. I understand not making it exclusive but there is simply no excuse to not have it be both like RE4 and 8 did.
Easily the biggest disappointment and betrayal in all this generation of gaming.

I dont know why people thought the dub was bad. Seemed totally fine to me. The game was 10/10 for me.

The reason I've never touched a Souls or Bloodborn game. Anytime an ad or preview says "Souls-like" I immediately scratch it off my list. I have too little time in life to waste it on games that revel in pissing me off. Haha. I need to enjoy every moment of the little game times I get.

Final Fantasy died and was buried two decades ago. 9 was the last true FF (and my favorite game of all time) in my opinion. 10 would have been okay but Tidus being the worst protag in any game ever ruined it. 12 was alright.
I'm just praying for that FF9 remaster (hopefully a faithful one) so I can say goodbye to the series forever.
I understand if turn based combat has to go the way of the earth but there are SO many other things that made FF magical they have chosen to abandon. Its sad to see my favorite game series fall so far but nothing good lasts forever. If I had my way, Square would pump out smaller budget titles with turn based combat and even pre-rendered backgrounds like the golden era but with modern graphics and load times. Can you even imagine??

I'm no scientist, but I would bet it would have sold better if Sony would have made.....y'know, games for it.
This has to be one of the biggest betrayals in gaming history.

This is actually incredible. I thought it was great before. These are the two missing features (besides real bluetooth) everyone wanted. Its so weird to have Sony actually listening. Haha

The Nintendo Direct could still save the day but overall, the presentations were a ton of absolutely nothing.

As a MASSIVE Metallica fan, this will be the first and only time I buy all the skins and do all the things with this event. Cannot wait! 🤘🤘 I got my 11- year old son into them as well so we can't wait to grind this out.

Classic Metallica is amazing but I'm also a huge fan of thier new stuff. Hardwired and 72 Seasons are incredible!

@Axelay71 I know, right!!?? If they announced both this and a Rescue Mission VR2 port at the same time, my frustration would be diminished by like 90%. But they can't even be bothered to do that. What a MASSIVE blow to my trust in this company.

Complete and utter betrayal of the most hainus nature. A skyscraper-sized middle finger to all who showed loyalty with both VR1 and VR2. Objectively this game looks amazing but I'm so darn bitter toward it I'm not sure when I'll come around.

Seems like an extremely easy game to have done both flat and VR compatible like RE4 and 8 did. But Sony despises its VR fanbase.

@Durians i agree with him. 10 had an awesome story and music but Tidus ruined the entire game for me. One of the worst protags of any game ever imo.

My absolute favorite game of all time. I get online literally everyday just to look for news on this. I'm praying so badly that its a faithful remake with the same artstyle with the deformed character models, etc. (not the ugly Dissidia design) and that outside of some quality of life improvements and graphics, it the same old game. In other words, I'm praying its just a super remaster...not a remake.
Makes me wonder when or how this will be revealed as the State of Play has passed. Seems weird to be at a Nintendo Direct but who knows?

Nowadays anything Star Wars related is just pure cancer. The brand is wrecked beyond any hope of repair.

Streets of Rage is a great win. The other two are trash.

@Absymbel Your comment is perfectly worded. I'm in that exact same boat with you. I was telling naysayers early on that it was a strong launch and to give them 6-8 months to get things rolling but with each passing month and with each passing State of Play I'm realizing I was terribly wrong. The PSVR2 is basically on life support and Sony is just waiting to yank the cord as soon as the public eye is turned away enough. Call me dramatic but with the investment that it was, I feel completely betrayed and swindled. At launch I would have bet money that Astrobot, at LEAST a port of Rescue Mission, would be at least announced by now. Not only is that not true but there have been NO other first party games since launch day. Its quite incredible actually.

Wow that was a BAAAAD SoP. Like, maybe one of the worst ones of all time. Astro obviously looks great but its gonna take a sec for me to warm up to it not being PSVR2. Its the biggest kick to the gonads with a middle finger for good measure for those of us who have been loyal to PSVR for years.

Still surprised this was not here at launch considering the nature of the game. I take photos constantly when I play games and I'm nearly at the end of this. Already took a billion with the UI all over the screen. Haha

The way Sony has treated this device has been nothing short of unforgivable. I invested day 1 with bright eyes and bushy tail, trusting Horizon was just the beginning. As the months slipped by and several State of Plays came and went, I slowly realized I'd been duped. No Astrobot, no other 1st party titles. NOTHING.

Thank all that is holy for Capcom and thier RE ports which are amazingly good and a few other 3rd party treats. I'd love to try it with a few things on PC but honestly don't care that much. But if this means it will lift sales a bit so they actually support thier own frikin hardware then awesome.

@thefourfoldroot1 You are 1000% correct. I literally CANNOT believe not only the fact that a VR2 port doesnt exist yet but that it wasn't a launch game. The only acceptable answer is if they were saving it for a 1-2 punch where they announce a port of Rescue Mission AND a sequel.

You say Metallica...I say when do I show up? Haven't been playing the last few seasons but sounds like thats about to change. Haha

I'm just happy PSVR2 is getting a game. Any game.
