Good to see y’alls thoughts on your experiences so far. I am not an online multiplayer gamer at all, but this one is really calling out to me. Gameplay looks really fun and rewarding, like sci-fi Factions, and love the ‘raiders and robots’ vibes. May have to go for it, just as I commented on another article today that I haven’t signed up for PS online in years…

Sony’s online multiplayer costs are egregious. Haven’t paid for it in ages, would rather spend the money on software. Bummer though..

I still remember riding the bus home from a field trip in elementary school, with kids talking about the blood code and fatalities for the original Mortal Kombat—my mind was blown when I finally saw it happen! Fast forward to dropping quarters at the arcade (remember those?), trying my best to win against strangers in Mortal Kombat 3. Man I love these games… gotta pick this up…

Not a game that was remotely on my radar; multiplayer games are not my thing. But just watched some gameplay videos, and not gonna lie, this game looks real good.. 😬

Not quite a ‘franchise’ yet, but we can add Cronos to that list—fantastic game!

Let’s hope this means a patch for Silent Hill f (and 2remake) are in the pipeline…

Will definitely play this someday. The bland environments and story turn me off, but I’m sure it’s easy to ignore when the combat is so exciting.

Sounds good! Great updates, and love the focus on a single player campaign. This is one of the few Xbox games I ever played (on a friend’s machine in college). I’d definitely check this out. Now put the full game on the disc, ya dummies!!

That’s fantastic news. I still need to finish Rebirth. Loved the main stuff, but just got exhausted with checking open world boxes—I must do it, though, even if it’s ‘meh’!!!

Not sold yet, but happy to see the machine-steampunk stuff popping up; game looked like a pretty generic medieval fantasy world before.

Unless there’s some significant upgrade to PS5 games, I will not be buying at launch. With a PS5 Pro and a huge backlog of games (and a Switch 2) I am totally set.

Zero interest in these games. I see enough war and killing on the news, thanks.

Arc System Works can do it, they are masters at what they do. Excited to try this out at some point, hopefully we get a open demo closer to launch.

Had to vote Silksong bc it’s been my main focus; phenomenal game though! Cronos has been my alternate, and is a lot of fun too, so honorable mention. Haven’t started Silent Hill f or Hell is Us yet, but can’t wait.

Love this first impressions article! Makes way more sense than asking everyone to give a score after the game has been out for a week or two only. Would love to see more of these first impressions articles in the future, especially for those of us that have busy schedules and really take our time with games.

@tameshiyaku It’s an issue with the Pro, not the base 5. I finished Silent Hill 2 on my base model before getting the Pro and it was glorious! Sold that base model though after getting my Pro… One of these days I need to reinstall SH2 to see what all the fuss is about; Silent Hill f is coming first though!

Sold my PS4 Pro years ago, shortly after I got my PS5. Amazing generation, for sure; if it weren’t for backwards compatibility on the 5 I would have never sold it. The sound of that thing though, good god…

Really enjoying Cronos so far! Gameplay may be a bit derivative, but the story, art direction, and atmosphere have me hooked! Confirmation that Bloober has indeed leveled up; excited for what comes next!

Probably put 300 hours into the game in my life. I’m good for now lol

Definitely excited for this one, looks unique and challenging. Love a good sci-fi epic, too!

This was the highlight for me. I am missing X-Men SO hard these days. Love me some Wolverine, and this looks like the game I was hoping for. Now we just need a solid story and we’re rockin’.

Returnal is absolutely amazing, and Saros looks no different. Wondering if there will be some crossover, story-wise, because it is very obviously ‘Returnal 2’. We shall see!

Happy with my Pro. It cleans up a lot of games that had issues on PS4/5 (e.g., Alien Isolation, ReBirth, Rubicon, etc.). Plus the games that it does work well on are flippin amazing. Happy with my purchase.
But… Konami needs to get their sh*t together…

I have been really happy with my Pro. This one is on the devs/publisher. There is absolutely no excuse for not including the option to just turn this stuff off in the settings. Total fail on their part. Hopefully we get a patch soon, at least to turn PSSR off!

Are we seeing the performance issues cropping up elsewhere in other reviews?

Continuing my adventure in Silksong (multi-prong attack on the Citadel, just beat the Last Judge); also installed my physical copy of Cronos. Going to be a challenging but fun weekend!

Both! Preordered the physical deluxe of Hell is Us, which doesn’t come out until the end of the month. Playing (and loving) Silksong in the meantime.

But I get why the Hell is Us team was frustrated; Silksong came out of nowhere. But also… 🤷🏻‍♂️ If your game is good, people will play it. Word of mouth is still vital. Look at Expedition 33. Anyways, I am still excited for Hell is Us!

I can see a remaster with some QOL upgrades (and a freshly updated price) happening, but a full remake? Nah…

This game looks absolutely insane and totally AMAZING. Day one. Sold. Add to cart. Grasshopper are at it again!

Now we just need a Killer7 remaster.
