Solid show overall, and nice to see so many release dates. All these games coming out in September is nuts though… I was all in on Wolverine day one, but I’m going to have to go to Control Resonant first.
Finally, the reveal for Laufey was glorious; game looks brutal, whimsical, and utterly gorgeous. The combat looks amazing and very complex. And that keyart! Great way to end the show!
Can’t wait! Played through the demo with all three weapons, and dang, it’s just so good. Glad to hear the full game is meeting the lofty expectations we have all set for it! Time to get hallowed!
Played Saros for around 17 hours, just beat the Architect. I’ve really enjoyed it so far, it is indeed a lot of fun to play, and the cosmic horror is working for me. But there’s just something about Returnal… Hard to put my finger on it exactly, but it’s a special game!
Played the original demo on Switch 2 a while back and loved it. Now that we know it’s a GKC, I’ll be gettin it for the old PS5
Game absolutely gives Final Fantasy Adventure/Secret of Mana vibes. Feels very responsive, too. Hopefully they can nail the story (without TOO much dialogue)
@Bob_Tempura LOL Crimson Desert and Requiem both launched at $70, at least in the US, so… huh?
Time will tell, I suppose, if the price of Saros was a fatal mistake for the game. Clearly a lot of people on this thread aren’t buying it for that reason. Value proposition is very subjective. The used economy is obviously going to eat a lot of sales for this game, sadly. The way studios are closing, it’s a bummer to buy from Ebay instead of just waiting for the price to come down, especially if you want to play the game.
@Bob_Tempura If you’re that worried about buying gas, why play video games at all? Gaming is a luxury hobby, not a necessity.
Totally understand trying to save money, but blaming your third-party buying habits on the developer/publisher not pricing their game according to your standard is absurd. The amount of people complaining about the price of this AAA first party developer video game in this thread is hilarious. Everybody wants something for nothing, it seems…
@Bob_Tempura No, it’s actually on you, for choosing to buy the game from a person on Ebay rather than support the dev and buy from Housemarque/Sony, just so you can save a few bucks.
Those Mario movies are not designed for critics and I promise you, Nintendo could not possibly care less about its reviews. Did they make bucket loads ofmoney? Yes? Mission accomplished!
Hilarious! They’ve done so well on PlayStation. I predict they continue with multiplatform, but who knows what’s going to happen in this crazy, crazy world these days…
I’m not 100% sold on the art style, but they’ve clearly only shown off a small bit of the game. We all know the gameplay is going to be top-shelf; Castlevania is in good hands, there. I’m definitely excited!
Still wanting to pick this up at some point, enjoyed the demo. One more sale obviously wouldn’t have moved the needle, but dang, small games just can’t catch a break these days…
After finishing Requiem (amazing game), I’ve jumped into Control Ultimate Edition on my Pro. It’s a much improved experience compared to when I played it on PS4 years ago (although I still loved it). I should probably get into Returnal though, in preparation for Saros; gotta start flexing those Housemarque muscles again!
@Scottyy Interesting take! I have to disagree with everything you said, minus the somewhat mediocre ending. I thought the first game was an absolute slog, despite having a great story, but loved everything about part 2. So interesting how people can have such wildy different takes, but that’s art!
I only ever played Lost Legacy, but really enjoyed it. Eventually I’ll try the other games… Having said that, I’m way more interested in a Last of Us 3… After Intergalactic, of course!
After having just completed the game, I gotta disagree with Liam about the playtime split. First half is clearly all about Grace, with short stints as Leon to break it up. I was able to really take my time here, and Grace’s section is just brilliant. Second half is clearly about Leon, but we still get a solid, albeit shorter section with Grace to break that up. I was worried I’d enjoy the action bits with Leon less, because the survival part is my jam, but still some great exploration, and loved the ruined Raccoon City. Gameplay in Requiem is just A++ Gotta agree about the story payoff though, it’s not great, but.. you know… it’s Resident Evil, so… yeah. But hey, Victor Gideon is a great villain at least!
9/10
Really cool how they’re making the game so flexible, with options to make it easier, but also options to make it harder. Saros is going to be a smash hit!
@Netbean I’m quite sure this is part of it. There are so many great games I would have played but instead skipped because of the overpriced subscription needed to play these games online. Diablo IV, Helldivers, Arc Raiders, and now Marathon. Yay, capitalism…
Wasn’t the reboot basically Final Fantasy XVI? With its action combat?
Didn’t quite work out…
Should we brace ourselves for a Final Fantasy extraction shooter?

Re: The Silent Hill PS5 Streak Continues in Townfall, Out on 24th September
I’ll definitely get this, but this trailer has me less hyped. Where was the visceral melee combat? Eh..
Re: God of War Laufey Is the Next Main Entry in the Saga, 'Coming Soon' to PS5
Sold. Add to cart. ☑️
Re: Anticipated PS5 Game ILL Looks Revolting, In the Best Possible Way
This is looking pretty amazing. Hopefully it has a decent narrative to back up the insanely gorey combat (that looks amazing)..
Re: Control Resonant Is Yet Another September 2026 Release, New Trailer Confirms
This is 100% what I’ll be buying in September. Wish it was coming out sooner though! The summer is very dry, and then good grief September!
Re: Mina the Hollower (PS5) - Masterpiece for Many, But Not for Me
I am enjoying Mina the Hollower immensely so far. This reviewer did not enjoy it as much. Both those things can exist at once.
Re: Mina the Hollower (PS5) - Masterpiece for Many, But Not for Me
Fair review, respect. Appreciate that they still highlighted the artistry, even if they didn’t love the gameplay.
Can’t wait to play tonight!
Re: Bungie's Maligned Shooter Marathon Goes Free-to-Play for a Full Week on PS5
Awesome, I’ll definitely try out Season 2. I would have bought the damn game but I’m not paying for PS Plus. Nope, no sir.
Re: Round Up: Mina the Hollower Earns Critical Acclaim, Best-Rated Game of 2026 in First Reviews

That Greedfall sequel must have really failed to meet expectations…

Remaster to clean the game up for more powerful, modern systems? Totally out of the question!

@scottyy Curious why AW2 was so disappointing for you? That game blew my mind-crystals right out of this universe!
