After finishing Requiem (amazing game), I’ve jumped into Control Ultimate Edition on my Pro. It’s a much improved experience compared to when I played it on PS4 years ago (although I still loved it). I should probably get into Returnal though, in preparation for Saros; gotta start flexing those Housemarque muscles again!

After having just completed the game, I gotta disagree with Liam about the playtime split. First half is clearly all about Grace, with short stints as Leon to break it up. I was able to really take my time here, and Grace’s section is just brilliant. Second half is clearly about Leon, but we still get a solid, albeit shorter section with Grace to break that up. I was worried I’d enjoy the action bits with Leon less, because the survival part is my jam, but still some great exploration, and loved the ruined Raccoon City. Gameplay in Requiem is just A++ Gotta agree about the story payoff though, it’s not great, but.. you know… it’s Resident Evil, so… yeah. But hey, Victor Gideon is a great villain at least!
9/10

After buying the game at launch to support the developer, I am finally getting a chance to play it, and about halfway through. It was a little slow to start, especially since the game does have some of that low-budget jank to it, but honestly, I am really enjoying it. It is a very creative, weird game with fun combat, an interesting premise, and best of all somehow scratches that Killer7 itch that has been left completely unscratched since that game came out many years ago—must be the combination of horror-violence, humor, and psychedelic visuals. Excited to hear that Bokeh is keeping the band together, and can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

@Pigrotto Hell is Us is phenomenal. I really hope we get some sort of a sequel, even if it’s only a spiritual successor. Amazing story, art design, music, combat, monsters, just the whole package.

Finished Hell is Us a few weeks ago. Now it’s the backlog for me: DOOM: Dark Ages and Slitterhead. Mix that up with some Kirby Air Riders. Trying to wait on Requiem and save some money, but it is proving challenging… 😬

If this game had been a single player campaign, with an extraction multiplayer mode, I feel like they would have had a massive hit on their hands. I love the art style and the dark sci-fi lore is definitely intriguing. Game feels good to play as well. But man, I just have no interest in playing with a bunch of people online and getting smoked in a multiplayer mode over and over again against people that play the game for six hours a day…
