Re: Soapbox: PSVR2 Already Feels Like It's on Course for Failure

I think it’ll largely be abandoned by both Sony and 3rd party developers. The interest just isn’t there. Even Meta is quietly pivoting away from VR.

The poll results just kind of show what a bubble this site is, it’s not a realistic representation of the wider market. The real Sony heads will buy it and wish it well, but everyone else is a bad combo of low on cash and uninterested.

They’d be really bucking the trend if this thing DOES do well, but too early to write it off yet. I have yet to meet a single person IRL who’s interested in VR gaming. There’s a few die-hards banded together on the internet but the mass adoption just isn’t happening the way it was predicted.

Re: Poll: Did You Enjoy the Diablo 4 Beta?

I’m all in. Probably on PC though, but I’m not sure yet. D3 played so good on a controller but this feels a bit different. I played the beta on PC, what was everyone’s thoughts on the controller layout?

Re: Reaction: Sony Continues to Fumble the State of Play Format

Sony continues to fumble the PS5 in my opinion.. terrible output, terrible messaging, PSVR2 looks DOA. It's like they're content on just riding out the artificially inflated demand caused by the chip shortage by doing the absolute bare minimum required to stay in the game. They spend more time fighting MS's acquisitions than trying to do anything meaningful for their established base.

Re: Bruce Straley Wasn't Credited in HBO's The Last of Us, Calls for Unionization

Ahh, the nebulous realm of IP law. You can direct the entire game and still not be considered a creator of the IP, which is what's being adapted. He's certainly not the owner of the IP. Unfortunately, that's all the law would look to in this situation. I fail to see how unionization would help in his situation, it works very similarly in TV show production and animation production. Both predominantly unionized.
