I’m a little bit worried they’re too all-in on PSVR2 in the current economic climate. I also wonder what effect the whole Metaverse thing is having on those who don’t already have buy in to the idea. VR sales overall shrank in 2022 by quite a fair amount.
@danlk1ng haha you are the one looking for drama by injecting yourself into this conversation in the manner you've chosen to do so. He's allowed to state his opinion, just as much as I am allowed to call out his lack of perspective on the matter, just like you're free to start whatever s$%! you want on the internet. And so the cycle continues.
@Cyberpsycho the Xbox accessibility controller is around 150$ USD I think, but it also requires some add ons in a lot of cases, so the price can be more than that depending on the person's needs. The Sony device seems to be more or less the same idea with a core peripheral that can also accept some breakout devices. I know here in Canada, you can actually get funding for a lot of stuff like this to help offset the costs, but that would probably vary per country.
@danlk1ng if a person wants to buy an accessible device because they think it'll be fun, or they're a real big fan of the manufacturer, that's fine. But to call the design confusing when it was designed for an entirely different person with different motor skills and abilities, that deserves calling out in my opinion. I'm not creating drama, just suggesting you shouldn't comment like that on something when the design CLEARLY isn't made for an able bodied individual to play fighting games or arcade games on. I stand 100% behind my original comment.
@PlayStationGamer3919 the design looks a little confusing? Are you in any way an expert on accessible design? If not, you should probably just not say stuff like that. This thing isn't for you.
Great list, I love seeing Cult of the Lamb make some of these. It’s interesting to me what games win the awards and what games people ACTUALLY remember and talk about for years to come.
I couldn't get through the Miles Morales stuff because it just got way too same-y. My hopes are not high for Spider-Man 2 to be some sort of revolutionary departure from the first one and a half.
They better hope the gameplay has enough going for it because I think the aesthetics, music and overall vibe are going to be highly divisive, unfortunately.
Not the kind of game a lot of people head to PC to play, not surprised at all. I don’t expect many Sony titles to really blow up on PC, except for maybe Bloodborne or Returnal.
I don’t think 60fps is an unreasonable expectation from a new console generation. You expect some leaps, even if they aren’t big ones. There are Switch games hitting 60fps, it should be a bare minimum on PS5. Bad optics at the very least.
Read a couple rough reviews of this game this morning, this might be the most positive take I’ve seen so far. Easy pass for me. PCGamer really didn’t care for it, 49/100 score.
@thefourfoldroot1 there was one on Friday in the NA version that was only a 12hr limit for a collectible, it auto enrolled you in it and showed in your landing screen that it had expired but there was no notification it was even a thing.
Not a fan of the 12 hour campaigns for exclusive collectibles, and having the expired campaign show on your screen after expiration. It feels exploitative to get people constantly engaged and feeling bad for missing a day of playing.
The PS5 is kind of a let down, rushed/botched release IMHO. The gap between PC is too large even at launch, and titles aiming for both are going to be severely kneecapped on PS5.
I like it. This game was just so damn good. I dipped into the tower mode the other day when I was getting those 1994 titles crossed off and wow, can’t wait to dive into that some more, better than I expected.
Interested! MH: World, MH: Rise have been some of my recent favourites for multiplayer. It's got its nuances when it comes to multiplayer, but when you get into the groove, it's sublime.
Why is everyone taking this as it being some big departure from the source material, it’s just an (absolutely necessary) effort to keep an actor’s performance as natural. If Pedro and Bella were just doing impressions the whole time, this thing would be a giant turd on arrival. They’re not making the community theatre version of TLOU. Watch Chernobyl and get excited, stop looking for things to be mad about. Of the Sony game to film adaptations, both released and announced, this stands the greatest chance at success in my opinion.

I am definitely double dipping on this one. I can't wait for this to land on PC and actually get the recognition it deserves.

@trev666 my mistake, didn't realize their site gives Canadian currency, it's 130$ CAD.

Stoked for Axiom Verge 2!
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5, PS4 Indie Game of 2022
Solid list! I think for me it’s Tunic, Inscryption and Cult of the Lamb in no particular order.
Re: Fill Your PS5, PS4 Trophy Cabinet with Dirt Cheap Platinum Games
Nobody cares about your platinums, don’t play this crap just to pad some numbers.

Good to see Cult of the Lamb in this list, I had a lot of fun with that one too.

Re: Rumour: The Last of Us 3 Is In Development at Naughty Dog
Haha these comments crack me up, remember how TRIGGERED y’all got at TLOU2?! Maaan. That was a tantrum for the ages.
Re: Crime Boss: Rockay City Enjoys Its Payday with First PS5 Gameplay
All that VO talent must have been a huge chunk of this game’s budget.
Re: Sonic Fanbase Heartbroken Over The Game Awards Loss
Oh, the entitlement in that tweet is next level.
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced at The Game Awards 2022?
Didn’t Forspoken get a demo launch on PS5? I don’t see any articles about it.
Re: Need for Speed Unbound (PS5) - This Stylish Arcade Racer Has Substance to Match
This launched alongside Midnight Suns and Callisto Protocol and is probably the best of the three, and yet got the least amount of attention.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Gets Its First Game of the Year Award from TIME Magazine
This list is busted.
Re: Random: Need for Speed Twitter Got Out of the Wrong Side of Bed Again
lol, everyone really leaning into this whole “Twitter is now somehow worse than before” thing
Re: PS Plus Extra Loses Ys VIII as the PS5 Version Releases
No (ample) warning is totally unacceptable IMO, especially for long RPG’s, terrible precedent to set.

Re: Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (PS5) - A Warts and All Celebration of an Industry Icon
Great review, this seems like a really solid collection.
Re: PS Plus Premium Members Bemused by Sony Once Again
It’s bad on purpose so they can point to it’s unpopularity when they eventually want nothing to do with their classics catalog.
Re: Messi, Neymar, and Paul Pogba Really Are Coming to Modern Warfare 2
Solid Neymar joke
Re: Free Classic Armour Pack for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Out Now
Still the best PS5 game currently out.

Re: Sony Seemingly Scraps PS Plus Game Expiry Dates
It should be fully up front upon release on the service. It would really help people parse what games they interact with and when.

lololol 200$ can you imagine?
