Re: 15 PS5, PS4 Predictions for 2023

I’m a little bit worried they’re too all-in on PSVR2 in the current economic climate. I also wonder what effect the whole Metaverse thing is having on those who don’t already have buy in to the idea. VR sales overall shrank in 2022 by quite a fair amount.

@danlk1ng haha you are the one looking for drama by injecting yourself into this conversation in the manner you've chosen to do so. He's allowed to state his opinion, just as much as I am allowed to call out his lack of perspective on the matter, just like you're free to start whatever s$%! you want on the internet. And so the cycle continues.

@Cyberpsycho the Xbox accessibility controller is around 150$ USD I think, but it also requires some add ons in a lot of cases, so the price can be more than that depending on the person's needs. The Sony device seems to be more or less the same idea with a core peripheral that can also accept some breakout devices. I know here in Canada, you can actually get funding for a lot of stuff like this to help offset the costs, but that would probably vary per country.

@danlk1ng if a person wants to buy an accessible device because they think it'll be fun, or they're a real big fan of the manufacturer, that's fine. But to call the design confusing when it was designed for an entirely different person with different motor skills and abilities, that deserves calling out in my opinion. I'm not creating drama, just suggesting you shouldn't comment like that on something when the design CLEARLY isn't made for an able bodied individual to play fighting games or arcade games on. I stand 100% behind my original comment.

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?

commentlife

I don’t think 60fps is an unreasonable expectation from a new console generation. You expect some leaps, even if they aren’t big ones. There are Switch games hitting 60fps, it should be a bare minimum on PS5. Bad optics at the very least.

Why is everyone taking this as it being some big departure from the source material, it’s just an (absolutely necessary) effort to keep an actor’s performance as natural. If Pedro and Bella were just doing impressions the whole time, this thing would be a giant turd on arrival. They’re not making the community theatre version of TLOU. Watch Chernobyl and get excited, stop looking for things to be mad about. Of the Sony game to film adaptations, both released and announced, this stands the greatest chance at success in my opinion.
