Re: Escalation as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Script Eclipses That of Baldur's Gate 3

It actually kind of turns me off of playing it tbh, one of the things that’s got me sick of open world games and massive RPGs lately is the amount of filler content. There’s no way all of this is impactful to the experience. Give me smaller, tighter games that are well-crafted head to toe. I want an emphasis on solid mechanics, not how big your map is or how many words you recorded for it.

Re: Marvel Rivals' First-Month Revenue Shows Sony Should Continue to Pursue Live Service on PS5, PC

Bit of a stroke of luck, though.. innit? If Blizzard didn’t absolutely bumble Overwatch/Overwatch 2 over the last couple years, would it have been as popular? With games taking 5-10 years to make these days, it’s almost impossible to do that kind of market analysis to make the right game for the right moment. There is a very plausible timeline where this game releases and fizzles out due to OW2 being more popular at the time of release. Live service is still an absolute crap shoot.

Re: Palworld Is Now Available on PS5 in Japan After Delayed Launch

There is pretty strong evidence that some of the Palworld assets are directly modified Pokémon assets, that’s a step beyond just copying some mechanics and art style in my opinion. It should be interesting to see how it all plays out. I think Nintendo only brought this case out once it was pretty damn solid.

Re: Concord PS5, PC Sales Estimates Are Somehow Even Worse Than We Thought

Not only was the trend chasing a terrible idea, but the game is just kind of bad. Sure, there’s a lot of internet haters and disappointed Sony fans who never wanted this type of content from them, but that doesn’t account for numbers THIS low. A poor product in a sea of really competent ones does, though. Especially when the rest of the lot tend to be free to play. I’m worried they’re going to double down to try to rescue it, pump resources into it, make it f2p, to try to justify the costs sunk. It’s either that or it gets turned off in a couple months.
