Watching this in 4K, 34 years after it came out the special effects hold up incredibly well.

Can’t wait for this game.

@get2sammyb Why do you think they have let it languish so long without a decent update? No competition, gamepass money, focus on other genres are my guess. From 08 to 17 this was a take off work and play day 1 for me, it just hasn't had anywhere near the same magic since and it's a play it when I get to it now.

Finally delivered, set up and played Spiderman 2 on my LG G4 in both my PS5 and new PS5 Pro. There is definitely some visual improvement, they managed to make a great looking game look even better. It isn’t quite the wow factor I got playing One X for the first time on a 4K OLED in 2017 but the upgrade is there and worth it for me.

Exactly how I felt playing Mario 64 for the first time, this game is fun in a way I haven’t experienced since I first played that in 96.

But RTTS has been a dumpster fire since adding archetypes and tying it to Diamond Dynasty. I long for the days of RTTS 08 to 17 when the mode was a lot of fun. It’s been franchise with player lock for me for years now.

Can't wait for Friday but I'm only interested in Franchise.

I wish they would have had the actual WBC and the Negro League in a franchise (or even season) setting, I would have played them for sure.

In the meantime the RTTS reveal last week had face scan and a menu adjustment while the namesake mode is left to rot after it was made worse the last 5 years.

To EA though Franchise isn’t an important part of the game, it has been stagnated for years while focusing on MUT. Same with most sports games now, it’s all about the player cards and micro transactions, most kids today are all about the cards. I don’t blame EA, it’s where the money is, but I long for the day of Franchise improvements, it’s all I play.

I’ve only gotten one plat, really don’t care about trophies or achievements.

I don’t use more than two on my Elite so this will be just fine.

Getting this day one, been waiting for PS to come out with one, love my Microsoft Elite 2

Wow PS2 Sales were insane.

Microsoft puked all over themselves with the One after gaining a lot of momentum with the 360. Glad they have picked it up this gen, I want both companies thriving in the console space.

Looks great on PS5, IMO has held up pretty well.

Was looking forward to this as a new gaming experience and it hasn’t disappointed. The story is great, about two hours in.

These changes look great for Free Agency and drafting.

Still though the number one thing I see wrong is the Defense AI, they have been lazy dialing up freakish interceptions for difficulty instead of the entire defensive package being better.

Supply chain problems aren’t going away any time soon. It isn’t just electronics anymore, it’s resins, coatings, plastics and even packaging where lead times have been significantly extended. Also transportation lanes are still very much clogged and the China port situation with Covid shutdowns is adding to it. I’m sure Sony and Microsoft both are spending a fortune on extended supplier agreements, expedited shipping and component purchase price variance.

First experience is as Aaron Rodgers watching the underdog win at Lambeau in the playoffs again.

Finally was able to log in and turns out it was just a really, really good phishing attempt. One of the best I’ve seen. The only thing off was two words were missing a space.

Just got an email that my Sony accounts password has been updated and it looks legit, this can’t be good.

Really looking forward to The Show this year, I’d bet we get a half season at best of the real stuff. Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on Super Nintendo got me through the last strike.

I’m not giving Rockstar another dollar until 6 comes out, 9 years is ridiculous. Even offline DLC for 5 like Ballad of Gay Tony or Lost and Damned would have kept me on board.

I played the heck out of D1 running all my characters through and getting most of the weapons and other content but with D2 am just running through the campaign once each expansion and am done. I got to where I just wanna try more games vs being fully immersed in a few.

PS5 digital and Series S is a great budget combo to get everything, I know several people that went this route that previously were PS only gamers.

PS2 was produced until 2013 and it sure didn’t have anything to do with PS3 availability.

Maybe, just maybe people didn’t buy because there wasn’t a campaign. I can’t be the only one.

Turn out the lights and play this one around midnight, I enjoyed it.

Wish we could get a prequel game focusing on Sully’s exploits in the 80’s with treasure and women.

Already bought the 4 I wanted in white, different color options were too late to the party.

Guess I need a challenging game where one meets the wall and I’ll get a black.

Jason Bay was a pretty good player but 95 is laughable.

They still need to fix equipment in RTTS, it’s rare when it actually applies to your ratings.

This fixed a lot of it, RTTS mode is playable now.

Now that progression works as intended I still prefer the old way of adding training points where you want your player to excel instead of the different load outs you have to use.

I call BS, you haven’t played the RTTS mode or even read feedback from players who actually have. I’m betting you’ve never played it in previous iterations of the game either.

That mode is ALL about progressing your player through the MLB system and when it’s broken it’s unplayable.

I’m sure you’ll have an “edgy” and “cool” response but it’s pretty obvious you’re just looking for a fight on a subject and game you know nothing about.

Maybe they didn’t lie about how bad their changes to RTTS mode would be but they certainly didn’t discuss how bad they were nerfing it prior to release and then those changes screwed up the rest of the mode.

Check out any message board on the game and the overwhelming feedback is RTTS mode is unplayable.

Sounds familiar, great looking game with good gameplay but an astounding number of bugs.

If I’m CD Projekt Red I’m pointing at The Show and asking why my game gets pulled from the PS store and The Show is continuing to be sold.

Agree on the graphics, they need to step it up in 2022.

Franchise with Player lock is the Road to The Show experience a lot of people are looking for, customizable as you want it. You can set your players rating however you want and not worry about training points, gear or perks.

FIFA got me into football years ago, I never had a chance to play where I grew up in the US.

Would be awesome if MLB The Show did the same for you with baseball.

MLB tells Sony this has to go multi platform which I get, I’m shocked they didn’t do it years ago.

Sony should have at least negotiated that it wouldn’t appear on gamepass, I’m curious if they tried and MLB said no or Sony had a complete brain fart and didn’t even think about it. Both have leverage here, MLB with the license and Sony with the game, with no competitor even close in quality.

PS5 owners should be happy Microsoft is actually competing this generation, Sony will be forced to respond and it will be good for PS5 owners.

Sony does need to compete with gamepass on some level, eventually parents will figure out the value and get sick of paying for $70 games and give their kids an S with a subscription. I don’t know why Microsoft isn’t pounding the airwaves with commercials targeting this.

Sony also needs expansion storage, for everyone saying “you can only play one at a time” you have someone like me who would rather have their game library at the ready and will pay a premium for it. Right now people like me are getting 3rd party on series X because Microsoft has an expansion solution.

Sony swung for the fences with exclusives on PS4 and Microsoft still has more ground to cover even after several counters, Sony needs to respond to keep the lead like they did to have PS3 catch up with 360.

I paid full price on Series X for early access and will continue to play after it’s off gamepass. Planning on picking up for PS5 when they add expansion storage to see how it plays on the DualSense.

If I was funds limited I would have played on gamepass and bought at a discount on Xbox at the end of its run. MLB made sweet love to Sony and the least MLB could have done was kiss them by agreeing to keep it off gamepass.

Actually I have seen a lot of primary Xbox players cite The Show as their reason for getting a PlayStation. I only got a PS3 that generation for The Show.

Been wanting the two way player option for RTTS for years, I won’t need to pitch in the NL this year to get at bats in.

Sony PR really needs a forceful response that they aren’t cutting off access to already purchased games. It should have already happened.

I’m no fan of Ryan, the echos of Mattrick are strong. I was disappointed when Microsoft blew all the progress and good will of the 360 with the Xbone launch and hope Sony isn’t on the same path now.
