Killzone Shadow Fall PS4

Guerrilla Games has announced the online servers of Killzone Shadow Fall, standalone co-op mode Intercept, PS Vita game Killzone Mercenary, and PSVR title RIGS: Mechanized Combat League will all be turned off on 12th August 2022. This will leave only the single player campaigns of each game playable following the shutdown, and also explains why Intercept will be leaving PS Plus Extra in the near future — presumably on the same day.

Server shutdowns are commonplace for Sony nowadays, with recent victims being Everybody's Golf, Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice, and LittleBigPlanet. It means any online connectivity is cut off; this goes beyond simple multiplayer support. With Killzone Shadow Fall being part of PS Plus Extra, this may be disappointing news for anyone who started playing its multiplayer recently.
