Re: Soapbox: The Most Frustrating Thing About Enthusiast Gamers

ZeD

@get2sammyb Sometimes it is not the change that puts people off, it is the price tag that follows with it. For example, Death Stranding does not sound like my type of game as the review here made it sound like delivery boy simulator with one of the pros being the management system of equipment. For me, being a delivery boy for a lot of the game sounds terrible; I have yet to complete RDR2 due to how long it takes get places. And as for equipment management, again the review compares it to RE4 & personally, it was the weakest part of that game (apart from guiding Ashley around everywhere, that is!)
That said, if and when the price tag drops & I see more gameplay footage, I will no doubt pick it up. It was the same for PSVR, it was a lot of money to try something different. I experienced at an expo and did not understand why it was so good but I did later find out that the damn assistant did not set me up correctly! Again, I caved a year later when a bundle came up that was too good to miss and I am glad I did.

As streaming, @kyleforrester87, I don't understand it to be honest. Why would I want to watch someone play a game that I can go out and purchase myself? To me it is utter madness but I get that some people love it. I see streamers leaving Twitch to go to Mixer and I ask, who are they? 🀣

@solocapers totally agree with you here. The review score did not match the words in the body. It was a case of, yes the game is boring at parts (reads on how FF13 was), but.... this is Kojima so we will let him off. I said before, the reviewer gives the final score as they are the only one who has played the game but when the text and score don't match, it really gets to me as some will just read the conclusion and score.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Death Stranding?

ZeD

@Ralizah if some one pitched that to me as a game, I would not be the least bit interested. And that is the reason why this game does not do it for me.
I may buy it at some point but no time soon. i have had borderlands 3 sitting on my ps4 since launch and i have not loaded it up once

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for November 2019?

ZeD

@parvaz1 This very site's review states the gameplay loop is practically identical to Dark Souls, but it's the ways in which Nioh differs from the Souls series that are the most compelling

It is the game play loop that puts me off, but....
it is "free" so might as will give it ago

Re: Death Stranding - Hideo Kojima's Next Revolutionary Masterpiece

ZeD

This sounds like "Fetch Quest : The Game" which I do believe is the most hated style of quest in the gaming community πŸ˜‚
My interest was low for this title for a while especially since nothing was given out what the game play was going to be like and now it is confirmed as a delivery boy simulator, I think I will be giving this one a miss.
Each to their own but this does not sound like a 10/10 game.

@supergurr I agree with out here. A 10/10 should have no flaws (in my opinion) and this has a con about certain scenes dragging on which I have seen knock points of a review in the past. Plus how is weigh management a Pro? Personally, I prefer games where that is sorted out for me, that is why Fallout 4 with added weigh cap mod is just perfect πŸ™‚

Re: Soapbox: Sony Is Doing Its Smaller Exclusives a Disservice

ZeD

In this generation i feel Sony have always got at least four solid foundation games and these smaller games are the parts in between (bricks, windows etc)
Players will come for the foundations and more than likely end up trying out the smaller parts, eventually

Re: Feature: As the PSPgo Turns 10, We Remember the Handheld Ahead of Its Time

ZeD

@rjejr After the unforgettable PSN network hack of 2011, the PS3 AND PSP master keys were leaked.
The PS3 ones were fixed but guess what? The PSP one was not so if you were buying a PSP Go around that time, I doubt the network being down was the biggest problem the sailors of the 7 seas had.

Personally, the PSP Go is an amazing machine and I still use it today. Both for actual PSP games and some homebrew. It is amazing what systems it can emulate. So powerful

Re: Guide: All PlayStation Now Games

ZeD

Could you have not just linked to the main PS Now site?
It amazes me how much attention the service has got in the past few days because of the price drop.
I wish it got this amount of attention in the past but that is a failing on Sony's part... mainly.

Like Game Pass will eventually replace the Games With gold, PS Now will replace PS+ Games.

Also, @get2sammyb why not put the platform next to the game? I must admit is made me laugh as the PS Now App does not do this either 🀣

Re: Feature: Is EA Access Worth It on PS4?

ZeD

When you compare to the offerings on the Xbox One, no it is not worth it.
With how they added a few EA games to PS Now, I honestly thought they would come up with a way to allow EA Access members to stream those games only from the Now catalog.

Re: Reaction: Sony Won't Be Scared of Google Stadia in the Slightest

ZeD

@kyleforrester87 that is a fair point and like with everything (gaas, f2p etc) we as gamers usually get use to it and end up liking it.
We have XCloud around the corner which could offer new games like Stadia and Sony have already spoke about ramping up their PSNow service over the coming year.
Atm the quality is what is holding back Now but with the new partnership with Azure, it could change.
Witb PSNow being the only streaming service I have used I am just sceptical about the 4K 60fps they are promising on Stadia. It may be amazing and I may be wrong.
I do like the idea of being able to picm up and play a game where ever I am. Maybe this is the future we are heading too?

@Stragen8 chuck a few f2p games on there like Fortnite and it will be a success overnight 😁

Re: Reaction: Sony Won't Be Scared of Google Stadia in the Slightest

ZeD

@3MonthBeef what?! I remember the backlash of the xbox one always being online.
What happens if I have no Internet access, I cannot access my games.
Or what happens if the servers go down, like the other day?
I understand how this is pushing the idea of playing anywhere forward but the worlds Internet infrastructure is not ready.
It is not for everyone.

Re: Sony Doesn't Think It Talked About PS Now Enough

ZeD

It is a good service but they post a single blog entry a month with no reply from the blog staff.
You cannot talk to anyone about it. Heck, even if you ask the support team for help they have no idea what to do regarding PS Now
They need to take a page of GamePass book with their Twitter account. The communicate with the gamers, post teasers and just have general fun.

This is what Sony needs to do. They ran a promotion earlier this year where if you signed up for Now, you got it at Β£8.99 a month for 12 months. This was advertised ONLY inside the App. They are idiots sometimes
