@kyleforrester87 that is a fair point and like with everything (gaas, f2p etc) we as gamers usually get use to it and end up liking it.
We have XCloud around the corner which could offer new games like Stadia and Sony have already spoke about ramping up their PSNow service over the coming year.
Atm the quality is what is holding back Now but with the new partnership with Azure, it could change.
Witb PSNow being the only streaming service I have used I am just sceptical about the 4K 60fps they are promising on Stadia. It may be amazing and I may be wrong.
I do like the idea of being able to picm up and play a game where ever I am. Maybe this is the future we are heading too?
@Stragen8 chuck a few f2p games on there like Fortnite and it will be a success overnight 😁
@3MonthBeef what?! I remember the backlash of the xbox one always being online.
What happens if I have no Internet access, I cannot access my games.
Or what happens if the servers go down, like the other day?
I understand how this is pushing the idea of playing anywhere forward but the worlds Internet infrastructure is not ready.
It is not for everyone.
It is a good service but they post a single blog entry a month with no reply from the blog staff. You cannot talk to anyone about it. Heck, even if you ask the support team for help they have no idea what to do regarding PS Now They need to take a page of GamePass book with their Twitter account. The communicate with the gamers, post teasers and just have general fun.
This is what Sony needs to do. They ran a promotion earlier this year where if you signed up for Now, you got it at £8.99 a month for 12 months. This was advertised ONLY inside the App. They are idiots sometimes
I picked this up the other week for dirt cheap 2nd hand and played a couple of hours. It is not terrible so far. Feels like Fallout 4.5 with other players running around you. Built a house, distilled some water and went for a walk 😂
@ShogunRok it could come to PSNow. There are some EA titles already on the service. Could Sony have worked out a way to give access to just EA titles from PSNow?
It is a difficult one to judge because yes, the value of these "free" games is greater than the cost of the subscription for a month, but on the other hand when see that they dropped the selection down to 2 from 6, it is a bit of a p**s take.
These two games are very good offering but they have been reduced in price many times in the past and there are still a few 1st party games they have not given away yet...
@get2sammyb What the heck?! You have to pay for it? I thought it was a demo! I do hope if you have brought it, you get a nice discount when it releases
Good review @get2sammyb With my huge back log I think I will be picking this up later in the year, still yet to get past the first Act in RDR2! Now I am just waiting for all the articles on the web about how single player games are dead in the water because of the average reviews for Days Gone 🤣
@Turismo4GT GTA V is very cheap at the moment. Currently sitting around £18
@ShogunRok EA will not be very happy about that. Have the released any active numbers yet?
Do they not have an internal qa team to test new fixes and make sure general gameplay is fine? I work as a dev and our qa team will not allow a release unless everything is working as it should
Also, Sony really are not pushing the service, as in advertising. Did any of you know that during the 1st 2 weeks of Feb, if you signed up, you got a monthly price of £8.99 for 12 months? No? It is because it was advertised WITHIN the app itself! Silly really. Not many news sites even report about it. Even here, I have only seen a hand full of articles about the service and they update it ever month!
It is a pity that the PS Now Streaming is not available in more countries. If it was, they could offer two "backwards compatibly" games through that service. Heck, MGS4 has just been added to the Now service
I think they should re model the service at this point. So a FULL package that gives you streaming that is only available in certain countries and a DOWNLOAD package that offers the downloadable PS4 games to all countries. If they bulked the PS4 games out and charge £7.99, it would compete with Game Pass
I got he VR Unit for Xmas and I am loving it! I was quite skeptical of it for a while as I thought the experience I received at demo units did not match what people described. What I found out is that the demo units I tried were not set up correctly for me. They throw the head set on, place the headphones on and throw a controller at you. Now I have it, I spend a good 10 minutes setting everything up and found that the headset is best for me with the head band quite high up.
So far my favorite experience has got to be feeling like a giant in Astro Bots. So surreal!
@get2sammyb Maybe a port to PS5 will not be needed. Hopefully Sony are smart enough with the next gen and allow us to play all our PS4 games on their next piece of hardware. We can dream right? (See what I did there )
Argos has a fantastic deal on at the moment. PSVR V2 Headset + 2 Move Controllers + One Game = £229!
So good that my wife has brought it and put it away for Xmas for me! At that price, who could resist?
@DanM near the end when you need some info from an apartment block, I was shouting at the TV "no" when MJ told you that she could find a way in. But to be honest, this MJ mission is the one where you get the stun gun and man, it improves it so much!
I am surprised no one has brought up the load screens in the comments. I felt they ruined the pacing especially the brief load between entering an area and starting a mission. I would have loved to be able to swing straight into some missions - I know this would not be possible with some as Pete likes to scout the area first. May be because I have recently finished God of War but it did spoil it a little for me.

@3MonthBeef it's a good start and I will probably give it a go when it is released to see how it holds up
Re: Reaction: Sony Won't Be Scared of Google Stadia in the Slightest
@kyleforrester87 so realistically speaking, by the end of the next gen this could be the norm
