@PuppetMaster Xbox One has not gone, nor has it's store front. Developers still have support for the Xbox One system (much like how you get PS4 and PS5 releases of the same game).
Only difference is that you will be playing the "best" version of the game automatically depending what system you are using.

I think you are getting it confused with the 360 store front, which closed down last year. Tbh though, the PS3 store has been abandoned for years now. You can still buy games, but always at full price lol

I think people may be reading into this too much. They are just saying they will not be adding and PS4 games from Jan 26. It is not the first time this has happened. PS3 and Vita games were dropped in the past. Don't worry, give it a few years and the PS4 games will be added to the Premium tier

So looking forward to this! I still have my Ubisoft+ active on my Series X (even though they refunded me the cost due to a technical issue lol)

I don't think it will be out this year. Mainly on the statement from Sony where they said there were releasing one major single player game every fiscal year. Ghost of Yotei being 2025's game.

You know what Sony should do? Bring back PS Home as their core live service.

@themightyant A lot of people do want Live Services (back to your original post about the charts) and even those who claim not to want one, could end up getting pulled in by one.
I am not the biggest fan of them, but I got sucked into Fallout 76 last year for 100+ hours in a single month. I had to pull myself away as I was playing nothing else! 😂

@themightyant Fair point but it does require a lot of work from the studios and publishers. I do recall that this was one of concerns of Naughty Dog. If they went down the live service route, they would have to move a lot of resources from their SP games.

It is a risk and I probably of the factors that "helped" Sony to make their current decisions.

@RoomWithaMoose I always wonder if part of Helldivers 2 success is that Playstation Fans were starved of new games from the main Studios? And were just were looking for something to play.
Just looking at the Wiki and the last game released by Sony was Spider-man 2 in Oct 2023. And before that, the last game released was God of War Ragnarök in Nov 2022.
I know other games have come out between these but some fans really do just focus on the exclusives.

I am not taking anything away from HD2 as I think it is a very fun game and deserves the credit it gets. I just always wonder if this was a factor.

@themightyant and this shows another problem that Sony would face. Trying to get a game (and hype) big enough to break into the current GaaS games.
A tough one, yes, but it can be done (Marvel Riivals...) and I think they have some IPs (old and new) that could do it.
When everything was kicking off with the MS/Activision buyout, part of me was hoping Sony would look into their own FPS franchises, such as Killzone or Resistance and re ignite them.

Being a fly on the wall in the Sony HQ would be very interesting atm lol

Just saw your last comment @get2sammyb after I posted above lol. Yes! They did say they were working on some that used the tech from Days Gone.
I would have loved to see that as I really enjoyed the game play loop of Days Gone.

We know they were working on these GaaS (was it 12 that Jim said?) but it always looks bad when you cancel so many, so quickly.
Their communication has been so poor in recent years and I too hope they change that, but like you said, it won't happen.

On the bright side, at least we know they are still working on the SP games we gamers love and still have a few GaaS/MP projects that have not been cancelled... yet.

They would have to make the fights more intense for sure. I only ever played on Easy, so they were a breeze lol

I agree that it will take some time to get their output flow going again, and is one of my biggest take aways from all this; so much wasted effort.
Also, I think Sony said that we would be getting at least one major AAA game a year for the Sony Studios. I may have dreamt it though lol

@Frmknst The Horizon MP is still being worked on. I think that one could be interesting if you like Monster Hunter games.

I think a Days Gone MP would have worked well. The world is set up for it. Imagine battling massive hordes with friends?! It would be like Hell Divers 2 but bigger!

Don't forget to add that the PS5 games can be streamed from the Portal too!
Time to finish of Forspoken then I think I will give the GoWR DLC I go. Totally forgot about that!

@get2sammyb I think the problem is that it seems that Sony put all it's eggs in one basket with GaaS & we are now seeing a lot of wasted time, talent and money. I really hope the studios from the other day can re use assets and get working on their next projects at a good pace (but no crunch!).
I totally understand their motive towards it as they can make a stupid amount of money, if done correctly. And they would be great ways to fill gaps in between the epic single player games they can create.

I still say they should stick to what they know as their main pillar but what they should do now is look at the mistakes, learn from them and create a new pillar that will support any future MP efforts.
I also think thy should go back to the push for Indie games, like they did at the beginning of the PS4 era. They promoted the the sh*t out of some of them!

The biggest hit was definitely the Last of Us Factions 2. That felt like it had promise and had been worked on for such a long time.

I get that studios want to make all the money, but does every IP need a movie? 😂

I can only hope these two studio had smaller teams working on the next project whilst working on these now cancelled games.
It is such a waste of time and talent.
I wonder if Bend could re use what they have been working on and make Days Gone 2.... one can hope lol

Weak month for myself. Already played GoW:R but is a great addition for those who have no played it.
Like a Dragon is another good addition but already played it when it was on Game Pass.
Premium is a little bit of a joke this month. Back to the old ways it seems lol

I have just finished the main part of this game and it was such a joy to play.
I have one thing left to do and that is the level above the statue... and it is kicking my backside!

I have had this in my collection since the summer and have yet started it. It is a must for me in 2025 (among other things...)

@PlushiePlushie I think we will see this in 2025 and would be a perfect addition to the Portal. Then, hopefully, we will see more PS3 games added to the service.

I have played a lot of this game on my IPhone and where is the gambling part? Is it just because it used Poker hands?!

@UltimateOtaku91 however you look at it, 2025 could be a very stacked year for games, with GTA6 (potentially) being the cherry on the top at the end of the year

Something similar happen to me. I made a project to fix a minor problem at work, so I could add it to my resume but my boss saw it and I ended up moving department to a better job. 😁

Very meh month. With it being Xmas it would have been nice if they dropped one of their 1st party games but I imagine they want to try and cash in on people buying them over Xmas.

@smellyplaymarky yes. You can set damage taken to 1% and damage given to 1000%.
It is quite funny doing the boss battles like that.

@somnambulance people are allowed to express their disappointment when games get announced, much like how people express their joy for the selection.
I happy that the selection works for you, I really am. But for me, it is really poor. That is not being negative... that is just my opinion.

At first, the price tag put me off and that was backed up when the reviews came out.
This will be something I either pick up when it is at least 50% off or if it gets added to Ps Plus down the line.

@Max_the_German I just fired up GTAV on cloud streaming and it seems to work a lot better than local remote play.
I have the same issue with my Xbox. XCloud works so well, where as remote play can be hit or miss.
Probably my home network set up, but at least I have options now

As much as I enjoy Horizon and the odd Lego game, I think I will wait for this to enter a deep sale or if it gets added to PS Plus.

Has this rolled out to the UK yet? I don't understand why it was a long rollout?

I enjoyed the game play of this. It was very fluid and quite fun once you got the hang of it.

We have no idea how many were for sale to start with. On the launch day, the Pros did sell out in the UK. So I guess they have moved some stock around or increased the number.
