For someone that doesn't know anything about these handhelds...what reason would there be for me to purchase this over a Steam deck?

Not really. I guess I'm just getting old/jaded but based on what we have seen it just doesn't have the charm the PS2 games had.

I'm sure that's probably nostalgia talking but it's how I feel. GTA4 felt that way, and 5 was a little better but still didn't really capture that Vice City/San Andreas charm.

They were kinda cheesy, and had a goofiness to them that I just don't see here. Plus the satire was hilarious, 4 and 5 didn't really make me laugh like Vice City/San Andreas.

I just don't care anymore. Nothing after San Andreas really hit the same for me anyway. I'll grab the PS6 or PS7 version when it's on sale one day when I have nothing better to do.

I definitely think the game will benefit a ton from a mode like this. There's already plenty to do but if you're someone who's played through the entire campaign and done all of the pve missions on multiple difficulties this seems like a great reason to boot the game up again if you just love the gameplay loop of SM2.

I miss shadow drops and Oblivion Remaster was a great one. Idk why it's Bethesda's problem that their game shadow dropping might overshadow other game(s).

Yeah I started it yesterday and it's awesome so far. I never played the original but I did play some Skyrim.

The 3rd Person mode in Oblivion Remastered is so damn good.

I've never played it before and am looking for a new game to get lost in. Sounds like just what I need lol

I was initially excited for this but after learning it's a glorified ad for Saudi Arabia and their sportswashing im opting to sit this one out.

I've been a firm believer of this game since launch. It definitely had issues but I always knew that if the devs stuck with it and kept updating/improving it the game really had the potential to be the best Non-Fromsoftware Soulslike on the market...and I think with this update it's finally reached that potential.

If you genuinely love Demon's Souls/Dark Souls, you gotta try this game. It's essentially a Dark Souls game with a Soul Reaver mechanic where you can explore in two overlapping worlds that are like different dimensions. It's sick.

This is probably my favorite game in recent memory. I just keep coming back and manage to have a good time everytime.

I would love to see more games like this. It kinda reminds me of a modern PS3/360 game and I mean that as a big compliment.

Sounds like BS. Nothing they showed looked graphically close to Demon's Souls Remake yet they want to charge $80 for their new Mario Kart...which is costs more than the DS Remake which goes for $69.99 at full price.

As someone who has been playing T8 as his main fighting game for the past year...I'll be putting it to the side for the foreseeable future.

They literally acknowledged offense was already really strong and said for Season 2 they wanted to offer more options for defensive play...the patch drops and they doubled down on high damage offense with safe and/or plus on block strings/stances that also can lead into 50/50 mix ups....

Like what? They said one thing and literally did the opposite. Mister "Don't ask me for s***" should spend less time blocking people on twitter who criticize Anna's new hairstyle maybe actually pay attention to what the fans have been trying to tell him for the past year.

Well we used to, but not anymore. On PS4 Sony would email you a code for a cook exclusive theme if you got the Platinum for Bloodborne or Horizon Zero Dawn but that's a thing of the past lol

Nioh/Nioh 2 had the same annoying loot system. Probably the only thing I didn't care for in those games.

I've been a GoW fan since the PS2 like a lot of others but the fact of the matter is I've moved on from Ragnarok. That game came out in 2022, a color swapped skin really isn't going to bring me back. Great game, but I've got everything I can out of it a long time ago lol

Except Capcom decided to broaden their target audience after their extremely rough late 2000s/early 2010s run and now they're the most successful they have ever been.

Not interested in Forza but there are a few Xbox games I'd like to get ports such as Killer Instinct and Gears Of War...but I definitely don't expect physical copies.

I'm sorry but it was just bad. I didn't go into it actually expecting Bloodborne, GTA6 or a Halo Collection reveal.

I just wanted to see something that hadn't been announced yet, that looked fun to play and isn't a year away from coming out.

The last State Of Play did not deliver that. Tides Of Annihilation was the only thing that interested me and even that didn't exactly blow me away.

It was terrible. None of the new announcements actually looked like fun to play video games.

And 2026 games already? We're two months into 2025 I don't want to hear crap about 2026 yet.

Seriously id give that State Of Play a 2/10. Genuinely full of stuff that didn't look remotely fun to play. Not one new reveal gave me a "I can't wait for that!" feeling.
