Fox Hunt, the newly introduced multiplayer mode coming to Metal Gear Solid Delta, will not support crossplay between any platforms.
The kicker comes from the official Metal Gear social media account, with plenty of disappointment already being expressed in the replies.
This news arrives following confirmation that Fox Hunt isn't going to be included with Metal Gear Solid Delta at launch. Just last week, Konami clarified that the multiplayer component will be added a bit later, in the autumn / fall.

There was a time β not so long ago β when crossplay was something of a rarity. But these days, full crossplay support is all but standard; it's a lot easier to justify continued support for an online game when the player base isn't divided between devices.
The bottom line here is that while we're confident in Delta being a welcome revival of a stone cold classic, it's a real shame to see that its all-new multiplayer mode is being shrouded in negativity before anyone's even had a chance to play it.
What do you make of this? Is Fox Hunt dead in the water with this decision, or do you still have high-ish hopes? Remember that this is a sneaking mission in the comments section below.
