Project Century was the only one that actually caught my interest. Obviously The Witcher 4 is hype but unless the combat is dramatically improved over TW3 I'm on the fence.

And I'm sure the ew Ninja Gaiden by the Blasphemous devs will be a banger

Other than those though almost all of the reveals were pretty mid for me.

It sounds cool, but like with The Witcher series it needs to have improved combat.

TW3 had everything I wanted in a game like that but the combat was so jank I couldn't force myself to finish it, and that was on the supposedly improved PE5 version.

Digital is convenient sure and I buy games digitally sometimes but I still prefer to own a physical copy I can. They can't play that "You're only paying for a license" bs when you own a disc and can pop it right into your PS4/PS5.

Not only did Concord not offer anything unique, it literally had one of the worst looking roster of playable character I've ever seen...and I've been gaming since the 90's lol

At least Wukong is a full standalone game, not DLC.

It's 3rd Person Overwatch, which is pretty cool as I prefer 3rd Person to First Person perspectives in video games.

And all characters are available to you from the get go like OG Overwatch, the battlepass/store seems to be exclusively for cosmetics that don't really affect the actual gameplay in anyway.

Id rather them delay it and release it in a good state than rush it out of the door unpolished

TGA is now the closest thing we have to the old E3 conferences/reveals so I enjoy tuning in to see what games get revealed

I just don't see this happening because so many people (myself included) prefer the convenience of a "Plug and Play" machine that a console offers.

I have zero interest in building a PC, or the hassle of having to replace and/or upgrade specific parts of it. It all sounds like a big pain in the ass to me.

Plus I don't see Nintendo discontinuing gaming devices...who honestly thinks they're going to do that? Is Nintendo going to wake up one day and decide they're going to release all of their games on Steam? It's not gonna happen.

I can see Xbox/Playstation potentially doing that in the future but not Nintendo.

The fact you'll be able to explore previously unreleased/cut content it really cool.

One is a full standalone game, one is a paid DLC expansion.

They should at least try to equalize the HP bars of the characters in Ranked Singles.

You can say it's not meant to be balanced all you want but why have a Ranked Mode with leaderboards at all if it's not trying to be somewhat competitive?

And they already nerfed Yajirobe's Senzu Bean mechanic because of how strong it was so the devs clearly care about balance to some extent

The award is "Game of the year" not "Paid DLC expansion of the year".

Shadow Of The Erdtree is not a standalone game, it's paid DLC you can't play without already owning and playing Elden Ring.

It's dumb that it's up for GOTY. Why not just make a separate award for best DLC of the year or something?

If it means they essentially would own FromSoftware it makes a lot of sense.

Any older gamers here who loved the PS1 Resident Evil games should absolutely give this game a chance.

It's literally PS1 Resident Evil but with like Final Fantasy 7 graphics. It's a modern blast to the past in the best way possible in my opinion.
