Prototype Remaster Could Potentially Be Happening, Evidence Found in PC Version 1

Activision's super-powered action series Prototype could be making a comeback, if we're to believe conclusions drawn from updates to the game's PC version.

Both titles have received a new patch on Steam for the first time in years (ruining the mod that makes the games run properly in the process), and eagle-eyed fans have discovered some changes in their end credits.

A new section brings up work on a Ubisoft Connect version of the titles, something that doesn't appear to currently exist. Activision studios Beenox and Demonware also newly appear in the credits.

Perhaps most interesting, though, is the appearance of Iron Galaxy Studios, an independent team that most recently put out Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4. It also has a history of porting titles to PC and development support.

These changes to the credits are signifying to many that work on a remaster or remake may be underway.

Obviously it's not totally conclusive proof, but it is quite strange to see such changes to the game's credits out of nowhere.

Additionally, a rumour from earlier in the year centred around a playtester claiming that a new Prototype game is in development.
