With strong reviews for Pragmata dropping earlier this week, Capcom has now published three extremely highly rated games in 2026 — and we're only in April.
Capcom's been killing it for so long now that it feels like most people just take the company's output for granted, but we need to stress just how difficult it is to release one banger, never mind three.
Obviously, the publisher got the ball rolling with Resident Evil Requiem on the 27th February. An expected and easy win, you might argue, but it almost immediately followed the action-horror outing up with something completely different: Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection on the 13th March.

And now Pragmata joins the party, launching in just a few days at the time of writing this article.
On Metacritic, all three of these games are in the top ten best-rated titles of 2026 so far, which, again, is seriously impressive.
Resi is currently in second place with a Metascore of 89, Monster Hunter Stories is in eighth with an 86, and Pragmata is just behind it in ninth, with another 86 (based on slightly more divided reviews).
So, basically, Capcom's delivered a trio of borderline must-plays in the space of about three months. And of course, there's potentially more to come!
The rest of 2026 will see the company release a highly anticipated expansion for (the now vastly improved) Monster Hunter Wilds, and, we presume, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The latter has looked superb every time we've seen it.
It's also worth mentioning the especially strange case of Dragon's Dogma 2 and its mysterious teasing of what many players believe is a long-awaited DLC. If Capcom can get that game back in the spotlight, this'll surely go down as one of the publisher's best ever years.
