No way it's PS6. Sony needs the massive install base to move units. It'll be the swan song for PS5 like TLOU and TLOU2 was.

It's insane ND spent the entire console life working on this.

It is a bit barebones on content. I get leaving things for content drops, but if there are modes with more players on a map.....I think they'd better drop that ASAP

Played one match so far. It was well made and I enjoyed it.

However its clearly meant for the sweaty crowd, of which I am not. So my time will be limited.

I was disappointed at the lack of AI enemies. I also think being more 3v3v3v3 or more players would have been better.

Not sure why everyone is slamming it tho. Classic internet beating up on the thing popular to beat up on. It's not bad by any means.

Doubt they care about spoilers. But with a game selling this many copies at launch, getting a bigger cut going digital makes a lot of sense, even if it's only a month delay to physical.

Absolutely loved the first game, and was super excited for this, but the EA really quashed my hopes.

It's a shame they didn't refine the gameplay of the original.

It's impressive seeing older games on the list, as 10+ years ago a lot less places awarded GOTY anyways.

So in some sense it's a silly list as the quantity of available awards goes up each year. Maybe we can adjust awards for inflation lol.

Suing for under a million is surprising, can't believe Ubisoft wouldn't have just settled before it got to this. I'm sure the lawyer fees will be way more than this by the end.

Can't believe how far Ubisoft has fallen. Had some great games 10+ years ago and actually took some risks with stuff like For Honor, Rayman side scrollers, etc.

Still holding out hope for Rayman 3 HD port. Or remake of Rayman Arena. Such great games.

So freaking excited for this. Looks like they've really beefed up the combat system, which already felt amazing in 4.

I've been looking forward to this since the first trailer. But also heard mixed things, so I'll probably wait for a sale, but really excited it finally made it over to PS!

I'm sure F5 was in storyboarding for years at this point. It's not like Bethesda wasn't going to work on that eventually.

With MS's now pulling the strings I'd be surprised if ES6 and FO5 take as long as starfield did. They want their studios pumping out games for game pass.

This is definitely the first year of PS5 that I'm excited for and also nervous how I'll have time to play the games!

Resident Evil is one of the few 'horror games' with mass appeal. They've moved into action enough times to draw in a large audience that will buy it, even if it's a more horror focused title. I think this is just marketing to try and appeal to everyone but the game will play just like every other game since 4.

I'm sure Grace will be kicking butt just like Ethan was by the end of RE7.

Control 1 was such a surprise hit for me. One of my favorite games of the last few years, so I'm pretty pumped for this!

This looks fantastic, that's small gameplay snippet looks like a great followup to RE4R.

I hadn't heard of the Mercinaries leak. Hopefully they nail that, the bonus offerings have felt lackluster since RE7.

Raid mode was fantastic, RE5 and 6 Mercinaries was fantastic. 8's and the remakes bonus modes just fell flat for me, outside of trophy hunting.

Last time he over hyped a 'totally new genre' it turned out to be fetch quests the game.

I know some people loved it, and I'm sure this game will be well produced, but this guy is a master of overhype.

It wouldn't feel so bad, if Sony had teams work on smaller 'indie' style games in addition to the multi year blockbusters.

Naughty Dog not releasing a new game on PS5 is absolute insanity.

Still waiting for that secret studio that was supposed to be working on Uncharted to give me more Uncharted!

It's probably more that MarkScan is helping to bolster its status to Sony than Sony directly trying to purge it.

If I was MarkScan this is a great sales/perception opportunity to maintain a good contract with Sony.

FBC should have been free to play - I guess it was on PS Extra - but still. A relaunch on PS Plus or Full F2P when they revamped the start would have injected life into the game.

I have a hard time understanding developers who try to break into this live service market, with a premium priced product. There seem to be more failures than successes.

I'd love for Sony to outsource a remaster of 1 and 2.

I really enjoyed the open beta matches as well, even tho I stink at competitive multiplayer games.

Im not sold on buying it at $40, though. We'll have to see what else it can offer. Delta Force has a great extraction mode for the wonderful price of free - granted it's not as atmospheric as Arc is.

@LogicStrikesAgain It's not as terrible as it seems to hop into as a new player.

The new systems make it somewhat easier for new players and they had generally streamlined creating builds, although I'm not entirely sure how easy/difficult getting a specific exotic is after the latest update.

The biggest downside is, unlike most live service games, this one deletes old content - so some weapons are unobtainable, the story is basically non existent because it's mostly deleted, and a ton of activities are gone or have low player counts because of the new implementation of the 'Portal'

The Livestream was basically a bunch of apologies and announcements that they'll revert decisions previously announced or changed.

It was embarrassing for a live service expert and a game going on 8 years on the market. They killed it.

Also, this 'star wars' thing is so shoehorned. It's an expansion with outlaws and a bunch of Star wars references and lightsabers. Blatant cash/attention grab.

Put in 2k hours since Witch Queen and after The Final Shape, Ive been playing very minimally. The changes they're making are awful and not worth my time.

I primarily buy disc games, if available, but happy with this solution since that's the way things are moving. Most of my games are digital anyway due to PS+ freebies.

I don't love the multiple hardware spec approach. Seemed to hurt games with MS doing that this generation. But I guess if MS does it, multiplatform games are all targeting that lowest spec anyways, so makes sense Sony would follow suit.

I'd love for Rayman 3HD to be ported to PS5.

I don't like the download requirement.

A few years ago I accidentally bought an item in my wishlist while buying something else (user error somehow, still unsure how I did it) and the game automatically started downloading.

Thankfully I canceled the download and Sony processed the refund very easily for me - but with how things auto download, this policy seems too strict.

Their live service games have generated a large % of first party revenue because they're barely releasing first party games compared to previous generations.

This push to live service really killed the back half of the PS5 lifecycle.

This game was AWESOME!!

Cant wait to buy it and play thru with my wife in split screen! Had a blast with this game in coop.

Also this game introduced me to Blind Guardian and Sacred Worlds is such a banger.

Been waiting for this! Played it a ton as a kid and I don't think I ever beat it!

The little yellow jumping circle is a game changer. I had SO MUCH DIFFICULTY on the trees level.

I was having a lot of fun playing casually until Emma Frost launched. She kinda killed it for me, felt too overpowered and super annoying.

U2 and U3 had amazing multiplayer modes. Plunder was so much fun. It's a shame they never really supported 4 like they did 3.

I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't be making $$$ on those modes if they had continued to include/support them in U4 and TLOU2.

U3 had quite a few micro transactions and a large playerbase.

I was extremely underwhelmed by that showcase. Bungie are masters of over hyping, but yet, nothing they announced was exciting.

No new subclasses or abilities.

It seems they're trying to separate the paid and free content a bit more, which is a good idea, but the Star Wars thing just feels like we're turning into fortnite.

LOVING IT so far. So many memories rushing back, but I'm also realizing how much of the game I missed!

I did laugh at frame rate drops and some glitchiness. Def hilarious that a 20 year old game with fresh coat of paint can still run like garbage sometimes.

@wildcat_kickz As much as I wanted the original game to stay intact. I was kind of hoping for expanded cities. Especially the capital.

@rjejr You can seamlessly swap between 1st and 3rd person.

@The_Pixel_King it has a more 'high fantasy' setting than Skyrim. I greatly prefer the setting and tone over Skyrim, but it's personal preference.

The quests are all great and unique, but may show a bit of age 20 years later, but they're still vastly better than 'go here and fetch this'

My favorite aspect of the game is that the guilds are generally all in their prime and you're doing awesome fun quests for these well established guilds. I never cared for Skyrims take of 'the guilds are in disarray/failing and you get to rebuild it'

My gaming group still plays it regularly, but many of us have fallen off post Final Shape.

The game just isn't keeping players meaningfully engaged.

The only loot you chase, is guns that fit into 3 slots in your load out. So you're just constantly replacing things you already farmed for, which feels bad, or pointless when what you already have is better.

I'm hoping it's more than just rumors.

We didn't hear anything until the last month or two and suddenly tons of 'rumors' seems sketchy, but I want to believe its true.

I really hope they keep some of the jank that came with skills. Like jumping over buildings.

Skyrim was more accessible but dumbed down. There needs to be a hybrid approach.

Id love to see some of the cities expanded. Granted that could be a double edged sword, but Skyrim/Oblivion cities are so tiny due to console limitations of the time.

I really hope there is truth to these rumors. I can wait to play this again.

I still far prefer this to Skyrim. It's made me so happy to see it get a lot of nostalgia love over the last few years in the media.

With the power of a PS4 Pro, and the fact that games are STILL releasing on that system. I am concerned most new 3rd party games will be targeting PS4 Pro like performance so it can run on both Switch 2 and PS5/6.

Especially with the market so volatile I'm sure companies will push for biggest exposure.

Shocker, boss of streaming game service says streaming games are the future. I think I remember something similar from Stadia.

Mobile/tablet gaming is huge for kids. But every Christmas I hear all the kids I work with talking about Switch or PS5. They use what is accessible and can't buy these systems on their own, but that doesn't mean they don't desire it, if given the opportunity.

I wish I was good enough to beat Returnal. It was so much fun, hopefully this one strikes a better balance for players like me!

I think we are starting to see the impact of a less competitive market.

Nintendo operates in its own space and Xbox hasn't been a threat since a few years after PS4 launch.

The PS5 generation has been a massive disappointment overall. Sure there are some AMAZING games, but it really pales in comparison to PS3 where Sony had to compete in the hardcore console space against Xbox and casual space against the Wii.

Sure game development times and budgets and live service chase is making things worse. But we're just not getting a diverse experience anymore. And that started in PS4 era.
