Ubisoft Confirms Work on the 'Future of Rayman' as Franchise Turns 30 1

Attention, Rayman fans: Ubisoft has acknowledged the series!

The Rayman franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, there's a new, official video on socials, and it's worth a watch:

Of most interest is the comment about game development; brand producer Loic Gounon says teams at Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan "are working together on the future of Rayman".

He adds that we shouldn't expect any news "too soon", but that Rayman "is in good hands".

Last year, Ubisoft confirmed the two studios were in an "exploration phase" regarding Rayman, while Insider Gaming claimed to have knowledge of a Rayman Remake.

The outlet has doubled down on this, and reports there are actually two Rayman games in the works β€” one being the remake project, and the other being a potential Rayman 4.

The former, according to Insider Gaming's sources, is coming along "incredibly well" and is apparently slated to release in late 2026.

The latter may or may not happen, and it largely depends on the sales performance of Rayman Remake. Insider Gaming says that, if it goes ahead, Rayman 4 could be released by the end of the decade.

Obviously we can only really consider that a rumour at this stage, but Tom Henderson is a fairly reliable source.

What do you think? Will you be glad to see the return of Rayman? Tell us in the comments section below.
