Attention, Rayman fans: Ubisoft has acknowledged the series!
The Rayman franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, there's a new, official video on socials, and it's worth a watch:
Of most interest is the comment about game development; brand producer Loic Gounon says teams at Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan "are working together on the future of Rayman".
He adds that we shouldn't expect any news "too soon", but that Rayman "is in good hands".
Last year, Ubisoft confirmed the two studios were in an "exploration phase" regarding Rayman, while Insider Gaming claimed to have knowledge of a Rayman Remake.
The outlet has doubled down on this, and reports there are actually two Rayman games in the works β one being the remake project, and the other being a potential Rayman 4.
The former, according to Insider Gaming's sources, is coming along "incredibly well" and is apparently slated to release in late 2026.
The latter may or may not happen, and it largely depends on the sales performance of Rayman Remake. Insider Gaming says that, if it goes ahead, Rayman 4 could be released by the end of the decade.
Obviously we can only really consider that a rumour at this stage, but Tom Henderson is a fairly reliable source.
What do you think? Will you be glad to see the return of Rayman? Tell us in the comments section below.

I'd love for Rayman 3HD to be ported to PS5.
At least give us Rayman Legends at 4K 120fps with HDR
At least we're getting more Rayman stuff, it's been a while since we've had any games.
This is great news. Rayman Legends was fantastic. Highly recommend it.
Rayman 2 remake, and a new 3D adventure. Bonus points if we get Mario + Rayman.
Rayman Origins was phenomenal and it's ridiculous that it isn't playable on PS4/5. Meanwhile, Rayman Legends is a near perfect title that deserves a quick-and-dirty PS5 update to up the framerate. It's also dumb that Ubisoft killed server support for Legends.
I've never interacted with this franchise but judging by the folks in these comments I guess I should pay attention!
@LetterTrackHighlight
I can't speak for the earlier games, but Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends are probably the best 2D platformers I've played on the PS Vita, and they should look even better on PS3 (Origins) and PS4 (Legends).
We're long overdue for a new game in the franchise.
I recently played Legends on the Wii U and Origins on the Wii and had a fantastic time. Since I just played them I'm in no rush, but I'd absolutely welcome more.
I've got the original on PS1 somewhere, but never played it and haven't played a 3D one either. I'm not sure why Rayman passed me by, but I'm glad to have rectified that.
Oooh a Rayman remastered trilogy would be a fantastic announcement
@Stragen8
Same but a remastered trilogy would be even better
The music in Rayman Legends is my favourite of any game by a margin. I think they got some East European orchestra to do it all. Any new game should make the same effort.
so long as one of the games they are working on will be sidescrolling 2d like rayman origins/legends, i'm looking forward to it. this is pretty much the only IP from ubisoft i have any interest in these days.
Give us Rayman merch, you cowards! XD
Rayman Legends was amazing!
Even after the insane platinum grind it's one of my favorite 2d platformers.
Rayman 4, I want a new 3D game so badly.
Rayman 4? Did they go to the Valve-Dice school of numbering entries? It would be Rayman 6 if they're taking up the number again.
Hope the remake project is a full Rayman 1-3, like Crash and Spyro got.
@LetterTrackHighlight Rayman Legends is a masterpiece and my favourite of the series. π It's dirt cheap nowadays too.
I echo others in saying Rayman Origins and Legends were wonderful games. Really enjoyed completing them a lot, and even got every single achievement in the Xbox version of Legends - not easy!
@DualWielding Ray-Tracing-Man
I remember playing Rayman for the first time on my Atari Jaguar, back in day. With such a poor library of games it was a must have for the system. I remember thinking the PS1 version didn't seem as good. Can't remember why.
Aww miss Rayman! Miss the genre in general.
It's probably Rayman live service. Microtransactions for each of his hands and feet.
@LetterTrackHighlight Rayman on PS1 was one of the best games on that system and era it's hard as nails as well
