I play a stupid mobile game and Discord has been so awesome in community building and making friends in my club. It’s a daily chat tool for me now.

Sounds like the work they have left to do is a lot of tweaking, so we may see this early 2023.

I hope they keep at their AA niche and work to synergies between brands/franchises. Comic/Board Game/Video Game crossovers and coordinated releases would be really cool for their bigger franchises.

It went too long and showed too little games and too much blatant advertising.

Hopefully enough people feel the way I do that the numbers will drop next year and they go back to a better format.

It seemed too rigid and formulaic to appease advertisers versus a fun celebration for gamers. Less production and more entertaining moments please.

I only played the SOTC remake as well and, while I thoroughly enjoyed it, don’t understand the hype.

I think it’s a great example of a game that worked well in its time, but doesn’t really hold up the same now.

I loved Greedfall, can’t wait for this - although I’m nervous it’ll be hard/souls-like.

I’m guessing this got greenlit before Greedfall became a small hit. I expect a return to that universe for their next game.

Maybe I’m getting old but it felt like a bunch of advertisements and mostly meh games. Kinda mad I wasted my time.

How do you feel about the gameplay?
I loved the gunplay and felt like the enemy AI is leagues ahead of any other game I’ve played.

I still don’t get the hate for TLOU 2. I loved the story and it impacted me more than a 2 hour movie ever could. Spending hours, getting you to the point of hating a character, then switching to having to play as her for hours?!? Made me so mad at first but I love how they did it.

I’m still confused why we need a remake of a 2013 game that is already playable on PS4/5. Besides those stupid ‘have Ellie ride the pallet’ sections the game holds up well.

Why doesn’t Knack 3 have more ‘yes’ responses.

@get2sammyb If that had happened, it would have been an absolutely legendary launch. With the console shortage though, delaying games is probably helping Sony overall. Keep that hype train rolling full steam for when GOW launches

This year overall was bad for games I feel. I’m sure Covid had a lot to do with it, as well as the start of new console cycle. Hoping next year brings some killer AA games.

Square Enix needs to stop expecting every game they release to sell 10 million copies in its first day. They make some nice varied games overall but they keep killing them with their expectations.

Looks like I’m booting up KZ2 later today!!…..now to track down that disc…

I was a massive ES fan starting with Oblivion, but Bethesda is just getting annoying with rereleases at this point.

It really was a beautiful hard hitting emotional fight. It made the whole game for me.

Dang 10 years. I remember skipping school to play this on release.

Multiplayer is still one of the best out there it’s a shame it’s been shut down. U4 really dropped the ball on MP compared to this one.

I haven’t played these yet, but they’re on my list to get - I loved Until Dawn.

I wish Sony would have kept them on board. Would have been cool to get a constant stream of these type of games every 6 months or so as part of PS+

If the State of Plays were more frequent and we had game reveals and such more often this wouldn’t have felt so bad.

Sony’s building this reputation for silence and every 6 months dropping something…..well that something better be big and not crap like this.

It’s a smart business move. Get people hyped again after it’s been out a few years. I expect this to be a standard practice from now on after an exclusive has been out for 3 years

I’d love to see some of Sonys abandoned franchises getting love on Mobile with smaller budgets etc.

As much as people hate mobile gaming. It has its place and can help bring new fans to the fold.

@Mikey856 KZ2 had one of the best multiplayers imo. And for the time I remember being blown away by the graphics.

I’ve always wanted to try this so I’ll eventually grab it - but I don’t expect it to hold up well since it is from 2010. A lot of games from them have had mechanics used to death by this point so I’m sure I’ll eye roll a lot haha.

@__marc And i know for a fact on my OG PS4 my speeds were often capped at 3-4 MBPS while my phone would read speed test of 100. Now the PS5 does download significantly faster but that doesn’t mean Sony’s idea of timers starting at download is a good idea. Games are only getting larger.

I’m glad you have god tier internet but your experiences arent universal. This discussion is based on a bad policy not how internet bottlenecks are different for different conditions.

@Flaming_Kaiser we have a data cap and most speeds are slower then advertised - well - they fluctuate.

@GreatAuk I’ve had games/large updates (100GB) on my PS4 take over a day. That’s with 100 MBPS internet speeds, but the system downloads much slower. Now the PS5 can handle faster download speeds vs the ps4 but it’s still not at what I’m getting from my internet provider.

Before you go on an entitled rant maybe you should take a few more things into consideration. How about a multi family household where there are multiple downloads or streaming at the same time? How about Comcast deciding to have an outage while you’re download.

To be fair, the PS5 does download a lot faster then PS4 and the games may have ‘download 10% for quick start’ but still - most of the US does not have fast internet and I’m sure many other countries are the same.

5 hours from starting the download!?!? It’s gonna take me 6 hours to download it! Come on Sony!

Lolol this guy does it to himself. This is exactly why Sony won’t work with him. Game business of today and budgets of today can’t afford people like this as a liability for bad PR.

Didn’t he work on the last Twisted Metal game that no one bought anyways? Maybe it’s time for someone else to steer the ship. I have no idea what this guy has done since PS2 days.

He was such a great actor on Stargate. I’m really glad they’re continuing to use him, he really made Kratos’ performance come to life and fit so well.

All stars plays well it’s just….boring and aimed at an audience that is not me haha. Hopefully they can nail the classic Twisted Metal Black feel

I haven’t found a physical copy cheap yet. GameStop ran a few sales but was always sold out. Been wanting to try it but if it’s Souls like, knowing me I won’t get far, and can’t justify it without a sale.

Dang they’re rebooting TR again. Still have to play the third one but man, crystal dynamics sure likes to reboot after every trilogy. I loved Underworld and the Lara of those games. Kinda hope we go back to that feel
