I loved the game. Loved, loved, loved. Chapter 4 of Alan’s story, the We Sing level, is a bizarre twenty minute musical interlude set to a number by the Old Gods of Asgard, and it is the most unique and trippiest segment of a game that I have ever played. Should be experienced by everyone, even if you are not a fan.
I managed to get the platinum on The Plucky Squire before it left the subscription service on Tuesday which was quite the surprise because I had quit the game in frustration last year after missing a glitchbird. It was supposed to be impossible to go back and collect them with chapter select after finishing the game because the game does not save your progress when replaying chapters. After beating the game, it was the only trophy I was missing and I had eight out of the ten birds. I decided to replay two early chapters and somehow the plat popped. I want to start something else on the service, so I have installed Harold the Halibut and Sword of the Sea. One of those should click. And I might give Skate a try, although I am leery about the monetization. I might go back to Dead by Daylight to earn a few blood points because the new killer and survivor release next week and they actually look really cool.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
@Fishmaterflex96 Ah, gotcha. Thanks for responding. I was racking my brain trying to come up with what it could be. And don’t forget about Split Fiction. Surely it must take up a spot.
@PuppetMaster The original may still look and play great, but it also sells for a hundred dollars for a used copy on eBay and nearly twice that for a new one. And not everyone still has access to a PS2 anyway.
@Fishmasterflex96 What game are you referring to as OW2? I immediately think of OverWatch 2, but that came out a couple of years ago and certainly would not be in the conversation for GOTY.
Booooooo. I feel like most of the people complaining probably didn’t even play Hollow Knight and bought Silk Song because of all the anticipation leading up to its release.
@AaronBayne When you say that you have to use an item or delete it from your inventory to make room for other items, does that mean there are no storage chests?
Delaying the physical copy is a smart move. I am sure there are many diehard fans who will want to play it right away and will then pay again to get it physical. And at twenty dollars for the digital, who can blame them.
Doesn’t Bloober Team only have a couple hundred employees? That’s fairly impressive to release their new game less than a year after the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Guess I have gotten use to five year gaps between games.
Alamo Drafthouse is a great theater with excellent programming (love the VHS) and I am lucky enough to have one in the area where I live, but there are only thirty-five nationwide. I imagine the popcorn buckets will bring quite a price on the secondary market.
EA FC24 has been delisted as well. A bit strange, no? Do those football games traditionally get removed from the storefront when the new versions arrive?
I bought Assassin’s Creed Shadows during the Prime Day sale, and before it arrived I watched the State of Play featuring Ghost of Yotei which looked absolutely brilliant. I guess it wasn’t the best decision to get one so close to the release of the other, but I have no will power. Plus I can finally get around to watching the Shogun miniseries.
Not the biggest driving fan, but I picked up Forza 5 during the last sale and am having a blast. It looks and runs incredible and there is an overwhelming amount of content. I could play this game intermittently for the rest of the year and still not complete everything. Just pure fun. Great purchase.
Picked up Bramble and Planet of Lana in the PlayStation store sale (both under a tenner) which gave me enough Stars points to get a five dollar credit, so I a am considering returning once more for Sleeping Dogs for $5.99. I have never played it and it seems to be well regarded around here.
