Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 485

High on Life with my son on his Steam Deck. It’s a bit repetitive but if you enjoy Rick and Morty the character interaction and constant chatter from the gun is amusing. Luckily Justin Rolland started his own game company, so I guess he can’t get cancelled from that at least. Also Alan Wake on Extra. Never played it when it was first released because it was an XBOX exclusive. Maybe because I played so many games from that era I have no problem with the combat mechanics. Really looking forward to the sequel but I wish there were going to be a physical release.

Re: Price of Fortnite's V-Bucks Set to Change in Select North American Regions, UK Because Inflation

Push Square hasn’t mentioned it, but this comes right after Epic eliminated the daily rewards for logging into the Save the World mode, which was my primary method of accumulating V-Bucks (outside of the Battle Pass). Once a week, the daily rewards were at least 150 V-Bucks, sometimes 300, 800 or 1000, just for logging into the game. I have amassed an impressive collection of skins and emotes over the past three years, all for free except for the initial purchase of the Save the World mode. To raise the real money cost of V-Bucks immediately after eliminating a perk that has been there since the beginning is a scummy move by Epic.

My son went to visit cousins for a week now that school is out and he took the Switch with him, even though he has a Steam Deck. So I guess my Tears of the Kingdom play through is on hold until he gets back. It’s going to be a long week of me daydreaming about Koroks and hidden shrines. Guess I will jump back over to Tchia with its BotW influenced gameplay. Wonder if a sequel will include building as a mechanic. Hell, I wonder how many future open world games will have building for that matter. Maybe I can finally get the Plat on Tchia while waiting for my return to Hyrule.

@STOBO. Right now Netflix has about fifty mobile games that you can access for free with your subscription. They are all ad free and without micro transactions. I think eventually you are supposed to be able to play them on your television using your phone as a controller. Most of them are your typical mobile fare, although Oxenfree and its sequel are available. This seems like a lot of talent though for another mobile game. They must have something bigger planned for the future to bring awareness to the platform. I hope we eventually see it, but I have doubts.

I absolutely adore games like this. There is a game on PS Plus Extra with a similar painterly style called 11:11 Memories Retold that I discovered because of a comment on this forum. I would never have known about it had not a member here mentioned it in a post. I also purchased and beat Seasons: A Letter to the Future because of its unique art style. I will definitely get this too.

I really enjoyed this review. It did a nice job of explaining the game mechanics while also establishing the more cinematic narrative structure. This is a game that I most likely would have ignored had it not been for the review. Now I will be looking for a future sale in the store. Also, was this the Sherlock game that was crowd funded? Otherwise, why is it a game that was never meant to exist?
