@Darude84 Demon’s Souls, Returnal and Forbidden West have all been added to the Extra level of the subscription service, not the three games that come with Essential. A few months ago we got Weird West as one of the three games. Evil West is a different game.

Steelrising is a great game. I don’t understand all the hype for Lies of P, but this game was forgotten.

Kinda feel like Alan Wake should have won Graphical Showcase as well.

Nice to see The Finals on a list. The game is a blast to play. Movement is super fluid, action is chaotic, graphics are superb and everything is destructible. I’m terrible at the game, yet I keep coming back for more. And how smart was it to shadow drop it during the Game Awards? This is a FTP game that will be around for a while.

And EA’s public relations send out a press release as if this were newsworthy and gaming websites write about it as if that were true.

I have trouble navigating the UI to even be able to find my skins now.

I wish Venba would get added to the subscription service. Seems like the perfect game for Extra.

The previous Rise of the Ronin trailers were better. There were a lot more game mechanics on display than just hack n’ slash combat.

This game should be third person.

Rise of the Ronin, my most anticipated game of next year, is only a few months away. Black Myth: Wukong, which I had dismissed as another Souls like, looks absolutely stunning. I guess I am going to try to get good. Oh, and the SEGA games, even if they are pretty far away, it was still exciting to see that SEGA hadn’t forgotten about them.

How about that March 22 release date for Rise of the Ronin? My most anticipated game of 2024 and it will be here much earlier than I expected. And my God Black Myth: Wukong looked impressive. This is a game I have not been following because I thought it was just another Souls like, but damn it was pretty. Might have to give in and try to get good.

This would be perfect for Extra. The subscription service needs more day one indies.

Why are there 47 Society of Champions trading cards in the Collector’s Edition, but the game had 48?

Reactions are genuinely divided this month, which I guess is a good thing. Not like last month when pretty much everyone thought the selection was trash.

Sable has a great soundtrack by Japanese Breakfast. Really suits the game well. I personally think this is a pretty solid month. Too bad I didn’t get a promotional offer to renew my subscription at a discount over Black Friday.

It would be difficult to find a copy of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name under the Christmas tree anyway since there is no physical copy except in Japan.

@MrGilly69. I’m not sure how the promotion works. My son’s plan expired a few days after Black Friday and he was offered a renewal at a discounted rate while his membership was still active. My plan expires December 2, and I have been unable to get a discount. I even cancelled my current subscription (at least turned off the auto-renewal) thinking I would get the offer in the new sale, but no such luck. I guess after ten or so years I will let it lapse because I refuse to pay the $135.

I would rather pay full price than deal with the people, hassle and lines of Black Friday. Although it could be worse. It could be Walmart.

@Areus. @Sil_Am. It’s too late for Sony. Embracer sold the rights to Tomb Raider to Amazon for 600 million, twice what they paid for it.

@MattBoothDev. @trev666. The Portal has a 3.5 mm audio input so the Pulse headset will work with an auxiliary cable. Any headset should work with a wired connection, which shouldn’t be too big of an issue with a handheld device.

Now if we can just get Epic to announce a physical version of Alan Wake 2,.

@PALversusNTSC. Valve has sold multiple millions of the Steam Deck and just introduced a new model with an OLED screen and fifty percent longer battery life. So the idea that it failed is just wrong.

@LilyGoMEOW. Players who had purchased the set before the license expired still had access to the characters. The map, however, was removed from rotation.

@Americansamurai1. The fire effects looked so shoddy. I’m surprised no one else mentioned it. One hundred million dollars and they couldn’t properly code realistic flames. Lucky there were no mirrors.

Wow! I did not realize how large the staff of Push Square was until everyone did a WAYP at the same time. I always kind of imagined Sammy running it out of his bedroom. Oh well. Shattered illusions and such. Anyway, still playing Spider-Man 2 with my son and we might try Lost in Random that I picked up in the store sale for under three dollars because of a mention from someone here on the site. Also Salt and Sanctuary for under a dollar. Thanks guys for paying attention.

And of course someone has already voted Abysmal, even though there are no votes for Average, Poor, Bad or Terrible as of yet. I doubt this person has even played the game. And if so, it begs the question why spend seventy dollars on a game that will obviously play like it’s predecessor? They must know if they liked the original by now. If they did, does more of the same justify abysmal? And if they didn’t like it, then why buy the sequel? Trolls are gonna troll.

I promised my son that I would wait until he gets home from school. Just a few more hours. Spidey senses tingling.

Suddenly the PlayStation Portal just became a lot more attractive. Certainly Sony will integrate that functionality into the device. At some point.

Dead by Daylight. My son bought the Nightmare Edition which includes Steve and Nancy and the Demogorgon from Stranger Things. The developers lost the rights to the Stranger Things characters so they have been removed from the game and the physical copy sells for an obscene amount on eBay. But it’s his money that he has been saving, and he loves the game, plus the price seems to be gradually increasing, so he can always resale the disc later. He has found a glitch (he loves glitches) that allows him to put a portal on a downed survivor, and when he starts to burrow, he is able to carry the survivor with him through the Upside Down. He did it during a game, and then the other survivors started standing on the portal and teabagging because they wanted to be carried through the Upside Down as well. Hysterical. Much fun. The only bad thing is that it is a PS4 disc and the PS5 upgrade that he usually plays does not unlock the characters for some reason. So now he has been playing the game nonstop on our older console and will probably end up getting a second Platinum. That is not ideal for our trophy competition.
