Re: Movie Review: Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City - Reshuffled Reboot Misses the Mark

@Deadhunter @nessisonett Yeah lol Not a fan of Paul Anderson's movies but tbf, he wanted to establish his own take on the Resident Evil story without relying to much on being too much like the games, which is why I praise them for standing on their own, even if later on the movies got worse lol

I honestly don't mind adapting the games into movies but when it comes to cases like this? Just turn it into a tv series or something lol

Say all you want about Wes Anderson's movies but atleast they tell their own story in their own world. It's why the first Resident evil movie, while not perfect, still kicks ass as its own thing. This one feels like it's reliant too much on fanservice (even the marketing solely focused on that aspect and nothing more), and not in a good way, since it's focused on cramming two different games into one, not letting enough room to breath. Would have been better if this movie focused more on the first game, and then the sequel could focus on both the second and third games, since they technically take place at the same time.

Re: PS Vita Exclusives Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice to Have Servers Shuttered

SoulsBourne128

Aw man. That's a shame. Guess it was inevitable, since their online weren't that popular but still it sucks. I'm hoping maybe the PSONE group could support PS vita games in the future.

Maybe once my classes ends, I'll jump in on multiplayer for both of these before they shut down. Regardless, RIP Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice. You were both some of Vita's great gems. Also Oreshika will also get its servers shut down, so to those who are yet to complete the game, you better scan those OP qr codes as fast you can.

Re: Rumour: Beyond Good and Evil 2 'Still Several Years Away'

SoulsBourne128

Even if it did released, I highly doubt it'll meet everyone's expectations. It barely feels like a successor to Beyond Good and Evil. I understand what David Jaffe meant back when it was announced as a live service, but I wouldn't mind if the game stood on its own without the need of the BG&E ip.

@Marquez Sony's recent attempts with GaaS/online-only games just weren't great, and they know it, yet they still insist on continuing making them. Just look at what happened with Hardware Rivalds, Drawn to Death, Predator, Destruction All Stars, Tommorrow Children, etc.

Sony should just stick with single player games with multiplayer components/modes. Ghost of Tsushima with Legends and Bloodborne are good examples.

Re: PS5 Action RPG Lies of P Wants to Scratch Your Bloodborne Itch in New Gameplay Trailer

SoulsBourne128

@Nepp67 yep lol righr down to some of the similar sound effects and animations from Bloodborne and Sekiro. Wouldn't mind so much if it tried to add some twist like say, Code Vein, Nioh, Immortal Shell or Surge (heck, even Lords of the Fallen tried), but it just looked like a straight up carbon copy.

With Lies of P, while taking place in a victorian setting, it atleast adds some neat mechanics to its gameplay not present in bloodborne, like grappling enemies towards you or performing continous counters. Plus, I prefer the art direction here, where every enemies has this weird automaton/doll look to them.

Re: Square Enix Insinuates Crystal Dynamics Was the Wrong Dev for Marvel's Avengers

SoulsBourne128

You know it's bad when even Square admits that the game wasn't as great as they tought it would be. Heck, on Marvel's Avengers reddit page, I already seen some posts on how much of a better game Guardians of the Galaxy was compared to Marvel's Avengers.

It's a shame that Marvel's Avengers didn't do so good since there are some good ideas here and there, as well as the fanservice. However the GaaS model really held the game back, and knowing that Babylon Fall will also adopt that type of model too, I'm really worried. Square should really need to abandon it. The model, I mean.

I'm interested on how well she plays. A shame the uodate ain't nothing big, but hey, I'll check it out regardless. For real though, in regars to NFTs, I really don't know what's so good about them. It's an image where one could easily find a way to save it without needing to pay so much on it. Especially when some of them aren't even worth a dime (like that lion head nft that's garnering a lot of attention on Twitter just for how terrible and hilarious it is).

Re: Talking Point: Did PlayStation Showcase 2021 Deliver on the Hype?

SoulsBourne128

It was a solid 7 out of 10. Not amzing but not bad. Better than the previous playstation showcase, especially with surprises like KOTOR and Wolverine catching me off guard.

However, did people really need to be reminded about GTA5 and Deathloop again? Also, why Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy? Why not the entire collection? The rest ranged from okay (RS: Extraction, GotG and Borderlands) to very promising (Forespoken and Project Eve). Though that's just my opinion.

Imo, I'd take another Horizon 2 gameplay sneak peak over another Deathloop trailer lol
