@Rsco6969 If this is true it will be an Obsidian game. Bethesda have always been buggy in comparison to Obsidian, so there's honestly no reason to think this would be a mess.
Someone tweeted Sean Murray asking about this and he responded that servers are having a rough time. Not quite a confirmation but to me it sounds like multiplayer is a thing.
@fluggy You're not wrong, the expansion was amazing but even that was pretty short lived and then it was back to the same boredom. I think by that point a lot of people already had their mind set on hating it so while Taken King was awesome, it wasn't enough to change their soured experience from launch. To be honest, if you haven't played it, when the new expansion comes out you should get the game and all the expansions including the new one. Playing it all the way through in one go like that would be amazing and would solve all the content lacking issues.
How can people say this is bad? Rebel Galaxy and Yakuza 5 are great games. Yakuza is AMAZING and provides months of gameplay. Fair enough if they aren't your thing but this isn't objectively worse than any month we've had. I bought Rebel Galaxy less than a month ago and I'm still pretty impressed by this month.
@Ralizah Come on man, I'm probably the biggest Smash Bros fan ever and Melee will never be touched, but if this is a solid game with similar mechanics then it's a solid alternative for Sony gamers. For a local multiplayer party game this will be amazing if the gameplay is done right. Smash Bros isn't under threat don't worry.
@SegaBlueSky I meant to say digital games are a ripoff in comparison to physical, especially when physical games have been the same price for the last 2 or 3 generations. Of course you can think they are or they aren't a ripoff, that's an opinion and up to personal interpretation, but they are worth less than physical games, that isn't.
I actually prefer digital games myself, my PS4 is full of them and I never have to change discs, plus if I want a day one game it is my only option as my job means midnight launches are difficult. The fact remains there is less cost involved for the publisher and gaming is the only industry in the world where digital content can be sold for more than physical. You can also make this an EU issue, as digital games on PSN are much cheaper everywhere else.Uncharted 4 was just over £30 on the US PSN on day one, allowing for currency conversion. Yes I paid £55 for N64 cartridge games back in the day, and am aware things have been worse. No that doesn't make £50 an acceptable price for a download game in 2016.
@SegaBlueSky @Kidfried What? Did you somehow misread every comment? Nobody complained that it hasn't been discounted or that games are too expensive these days, it HAS been discounted, that's what this article is about, and the conversation was digital prices over physical! The complaint was it was £50 to download when it was available physically for £35 on day one. Since the physical edition includes a case, manual, and can be sold if you no longer want it, surely, the digital version should be cheaper? Charging £50 for a digital download is an absurd rip off, it's not a matter of opinion, it simply is. I may download it for that price and have the time of my life, nobody is debating this as we weren't talking cost vs content. I've still been robbed though if I could have bought the disc for £30-35 day one for the same (better, technically) experience.
We live in an age where a game that has been out for 2 months is "discounted" at £34.99. Jesus. That's like the absolute max acceptable price for a brand new download game. Even for physical, any more than that is pushing it.
@LeeHarveyOzgod Yeah they still have 3, Code Veronica and quite a few, which I can't wait for. Resident Evil is one of the most iconic and popular series ever, was unplayable on this gen until recently, and this gen could last a looong time with the new more powerful consoles coming out etc. They would be absolute idiots not to remake them all. Plus the people buying this are mostly either long term fans who want it in higher def, or people who have never played them before. It's an amazing thing to be honest. It's easy money, a few months work for a long term download catalogue, and doesn't get in the way of new IPs or games in any way. If you're asking "what's different to the PS3 version I already own?" The answer is the PS4 version isn't made for you.
What's the thought process behind the 900MB limit? There is certainly no technical reason for it or one imposed by Sony, since it would be no different to downloading free DLC for games, or user created tracks for Trials for example.
@teknium_ I agree this is fun but I can't even think of any games that fill that description you're trying to pass off as being everywhere.
But yeah this is the natural evolution of Saints Row, it went from GTA ish gang game to president with super powers and aliens ridiculous stuff. This is the natural thing for them to do next and it looks like an absolute blast. The art style looks incredible too.
@Pinkman Batman is the only one of those that could be considered a "VR game" the others are regular TV playable AAA games that happen to also have a VR mode or level for those interested. Would you rather that functionality be removed? Seems pretty weird even if you have no interest in VR. It's just an option for those who have PSVR, they are still full games for those who don't.
Amy Hennig + Third Person + Wall Grab = it tells us everything about what it is. It's Star Wars Uncharted, exactly like I hoped. We also saw Respawn is doing lightsabre combat, so a lot of exciting stuff coming!
Figured this would be a good place to ask, feel free to delete if not mods.
I've always wanted to get into this series but never played a FF game. Is getting FF1 the best way to start and play through chronologically? Or is there a better order? Are the old 2D ones completely different? And are any not worth playing?
If there is only a couple that are considered "the best" I'd rather just play those, instead of burning myself out struggling through the whole series. But if they're all good and varied I'm still up for doing that. I know this (12) is one of the most popular, and I have a PS4, so should I just start here even? Have a Vita and PS3 too though so I can play all of them as far as I know.
@Jbumi I dunno what you saw but this didn't happen. I've played Warframe on PS4 for around 40 hours and never seen this. There is no monthly fee in the game and all microtransactions are done through the PSN store so there is literally nowhere in the game you can put in card details.
@BLPs Ico is an incredible game, watch some Youtube videos if you aren't sure what it's like! And Shadow of the Colossus doesn't have any "nothing" moments lol, the pacing is great. If you played these games you would understand there is zero chance of unbeatable parts in TLG, as they are arguably the most flawlessly crafted games ever in terms of mechanics, progressing etc.
@JaxonH If you go on any gaming forum discussion about Witcher 3, about 40% of the posts are people saying "I dunno how you can play this" "the combat is awful" so don't worry, it's been noticed lol.
@DrClayman To be fair, as much as people complain about quantity, quality is always more important. As a Battlefront fan who played it for months, the gameplay isn't a shadow on Overwatch. The few maps in vanilla Overwatch already can provide dozens and dozens of hours of varied gameplay.
@JoeBlogs You're right but those situations are the platform holders paying the developers/publishers to make it exclusive. They are literally paying them not to release it on the other console. I hate this too and it only hurts gamers.
But this Spiderman would be completely different to that. If it is developed by Sucker Punch and funded by Sony, then they aren't paying money to keep it away from Xbox owners. It literally wouldn't exist if not for them.
The only way the next Spiderman game could come out on non Sony consoles is if it was an Activision one and so a completely different game to the Sucker Punch game we're talking about, and more than likely a bad one judging on what Activision have done with the brand in recent years.
@JoeBlogs Probably not. Outside IPs have been licensed for exclusive titles before. It's just a matter of what's the best business for the IP holder at the time. As mentioned in the article this would work well, what with Sony loving Spiderman, Sucker Punch being incredible at open world traversal and fans of superhero games etc. The multiplatform alternative is another Activision Spiderman game which is almost guaranteed to be bad.
With Batman, Warner Bros have had huge success with Rocksteady so there is no possible reason they would go exclusive, even if Sucker Punch Spiderman ends up being the biggest selling superhero game ever.
Hopefully they speed up the menus. The layout is a bit fiddly but the main issue has always been the second or two wait every time you want to open the menu. Also if they could make it so the area you have to be standing to loot something is bigger would be great, that's awfully fiddly sometimes.
@johnny30 Nope, never been possible in any version. Unless it's a mod or something?
@NoCode23 Wouldn't be surprised if it was that harpoon gun hidden in the files back at the game launch. Haven't heard about that being in the DLC though but would make sense.
It's more that selling it separately at launch would result in some people buying it instead of Infinite Warfare. Since they can't charge full price for it this would be a terrible business move. Putting it with IW at first and acting like that's the only way it will ever launch will result in massive preorders for IW. Then a few weeks/months after IW launch when sales are dying down they release this separately and get a new wave of sales. To announce that now would result in people waiting for MW and not bothering to preorder IW and would be a pretty stupid move.
This is video game marketing 101 and has happened countless times before. The chance of Modern Warfare Remastered not being released alone is absolute zero.

People who thought this was gonna be less are delusional. It's clearly gonna be one of the largest games on PS4 in terms of both content and the work gone into it. If you're interested in the game but think that's too much it will go on sale at some point like every other game so it's no biggie at all.

@carlos82 I had over 30 high level super mutants attack the Castle once. It was AMAZING.
@BAMozzy Don't let that put you off, The settlements can be completely ignored, and the game is still HUGE without it. However building as addictive as hell and I think you'll wanna do it.
So can we assume Destiny 2 will contain all the missions and locations from the original, and build on that? To start again from scratch would be idiotic.
Seems a bit suspect, you're absolutely right this is nowhere near enough to even come close to making a full FPS. You're also right they could earn a lot more but...what if they don't? Are they gonna refund everyone from the Kickstarter? Seems weird.

I did this with Amazon and I inputted my Download Code and it was redeemed correctly, but the Beta isn't in my Download List, only the Media Tab on the browser. How do I preload ? :
@Savino Precisely, add that to the rumours Franklin's actor was back in the studio, and any possible DLC will only include him. Hopefully Lamar too, need more of both of them.
@Phillendon Tom Clancy is an author that Ubisoft have a licensing deal with to use his name, and the name and characters and settings from his books. Despite this 99% of their games have little to do with anything in the books, and no similarity between them. The games vary hugely in quality, so the answer to your question "What makes Tom Clancy so special" is nothing in particular lol. Some of the games are great but because of the specific design choices made in that game, not because of the Tom Clancy series if that makes sense. You're better off researching the games individually and seeing which ones you want as opposed to buying all of them. Splinter Cell and Rainbox Six, for example have zero in common and even within those series the games vary wildly. Division will be no different and a completely new experience pretty much.
