The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's second and final expansion, Blood and Wine, still doesn't have a confirmed release date, although we do at least know that it's launching at some point this year. In any case, regular readers will remember that last month, we posted a rumour article stating that the highly anticipated content would be launching on the 26th April, as noted on Polish website GRYOnline. Of course, that doesn't seem likely at this point.
However, the publication's popped up again over on NeoGAF, and it now has the expansion pegged with a 7th June release date. Our first reaction was that this at least seems like a more reasonable launch date since it's a good couple of months away. However, given that this is the second date that GRYOnline has come up with, we'd urge you lot not to get overly excited. Again, it certainly seems like a more logical punt, but the website's already got it wrong once. Either way, we still think that official news can't be far off.

Whatever the case, I just hope it's sometime soon, with currently being part-way through my NG+ playthrough and all.
I feel like I have been waiting years...
Just glad it didn't clash with Souls 3 release date.
This means before Fall 2016 we'll have the chance to buy the "ALL IN DISC FULLY PATCHED LONG AWAITED GOTY EDITION "? Right? Right?
To be honest, when expansions release a year or more after a game releases it usually is very hard for me to get back into it, especially considering all the great games releasing all the time now for ps4.
@andreoni79 Without a doubt
They can take as long as they want by me--I haven't even played the game yet! My backlog is as epic as The Witcher III is.
I do own the game as well as the season pass, so I'll head in there at some point.
7th of June seems more likely! Can't wait for this to come out, although I have yet to finish the main campaign and Hearts of Stone expansion pack. There is just so many side quests and things to do, I get distracted easily! But overall this is my favorite RPG of all time.
At least know o dont have to choose between uncharted and witcher dlc on the 26th april.
@Majic12
I see your point, but I would take actual expansion pack type content over Arkham Knight like DLC anyday of the week. It's quality and quantity.
Witcher 3 i bought for 25 quid last week. Wow, best game i've played in years funkung astonishing game.
@sub12 Yea I generally can't be bothered by DLC and the like, unless it is one of those rare games that just really sits well with me. Most of the time though I would rather the publisher be working on a sequel or a new IP instead of stringing along DLC and expansions for a year or more. Especially since they usually aren't that great, barring a few exceptions.
@Majic12 Its a ploy to keep sales ticking over. Without dlc you are more likely to play - finish - trade in. The chance that we will see dlc in the far flung future keeps the disc on your shelf, negating second hand sales.
@themcnoisy Yep, I know the reasons why they do it, just for me personally I have usually moved on to the next new game and can't be bothered with it anyway.
@Majic12 you and me both. With a million games out there I too find it difficult to get back into a game finished a year ago.
Well i'm looking forward to this so much that every other game will take a back seat when it comes out.
@themcnoisy Exactly this, and this generation has been far worse in that regard than any before it. Dying Light, Witcher 3, Evolve, Battlefront, Fallout 4 etc. Some don't wait quite as long (Fallout4) but it is still a long await nonetheless considering the pace that new games are releasing these days. The worst of it all is when a game doesn't truly get good or hit its stride until a year or more in, like Diablo 3 and some others. I'm glad that those that enjoy DLC and the continuation of a favorite game get that, but for me it is usually worthless.
Sold my game a few months back, couldn't cope with the noise my console made playing it. Want to get back to it at some stage and finish it though.
