Long-time readers of Push Square will know we love a good public transport sim, and we’ve been big fans of Stillalive’s various Bus Simulator games.
Bus Bound, due out on the PS5 on an as-yet unannounced date, seems like the next evolution in the studio’s efforts.
“We took a step back to evaluate what our fans truly wanted in a bus driving experience,” bigwig Julian Mautner said in a press release.
“With Bus Bound, we focused on making the core experience—how the bus feels, how the city engages with the player – fun in a way that’s easy to pick up for new players while still engaging for our core audience.”

The game will whisk you away to the fictional American city of Emberville, and promises a deeply dense sandbox, complete with intertwining weather systems, traffic, pedestrians, and a day/night cycle.
“From bustling intersections to quiet neighborhoods, every area has its own rhythm, and your route helps shape its future,” the press release reads.
As you progress through the game, the city will evolve based on your transport routes. So, as you unlock and upgrade stops, industry and commerce will slowly pop up in the area, based on the links you’re creating throughout the city.
It sounds really good: we like the focus on the simulation this time, although we hope some of the tycoon aspects still persist.

Frontpage news in my country today is about a bus driver who got into a fisticuffs with a bicyclist who wouldn't move aside. This game should be a hit here, at least.
@Perturbator Hopefully they won't have a London DLC package otherwise may have to change the rating...
More of the same and I'm good for it. Was t really into the School Bus and tram DLC though
