Re: PS Plus Game Hood: Outlaws & Legends Robs New PS5, PS4 Season

LuisCruz13

Sounds promising and all, but I'm more interested if they'll announce any gameplay additions/improvements rather than cosmetics, cause the game still has a long way to go (plus the Ai is still not that great lol)

Crossplay is definitely a welcoming addition though. Hopefully PC and Xbox are added too.

Re: Everybody's Golf Falls Victim to Sony Online Server Cuts

LuisCruz13

That's a shame. Everybody's Golf was probably one of the few good recent multiplayer-focused outings from Sony. It even got some collab costumes from Level-5. Kinda understandable that they shut it down but gonna miss it. Definitely had a good run.

Since we also got that Hot Shot golf vr spinoff, here's hoping Sony will give it another shot (no pun intended) in the future.

Re: Soapbox: It's Okay to Enjoy Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West

LuisCruz13

I liek Elden Ring more than FW, but Hoorizon it's not without merits. It's fine to enjoy both, and it's fine to enjoy one more than the other, whether it's for the more accesable approach of Horizon or the more challenging approach of Elden Ring. These kinss of arguments are especially annoying on Twitter, where you have some Horizon fans and Elden Ring fans (a.k.a. Souls fans) downplaying any game for not catering to their interests, and then bash anyone who don't agree with them.

@BeerIsAwesome can we please not try to start another fanboy war here? Both have their pros and cons, and it's fine for one to enjoy one of them more than the other.

@zupertramp Agreed but you don't need to express it in a way that sounds like a harsh insult that offers little insight on what's wrong with the game. Just as long you understand why others love the game, then it's fine to not enjoy it. Personally, I prefer Elden Ring more than Horizon FW (despite liking FW way more than ZD) and I do have some gripes here and there with the game but I'm not gonna start arguing with random people on the internet for liking the game I don't like. It's better to keep professional or else people won't take you seriously. Just look at Twitter and Youtube lol

Re: There's a Dicey inFAMOUS PS5 Rumour Doing the Rounds

LuisCruz13

@nookie_egg I honestly had an idea of an infamous rpg where you can play as an conduit and you have the choice to choose whatever power you like. Water, fire, speed, ice, lightning, vampirism, transformation, etc. I think it would be a good game for people to roleplay as their superhero oc lmao tho an infamous game where you play as Delsin, Abigail or Cole again would be cool too.

Re: Feature: The PS4 Games You Already Forgot Were Released in 2019

LuisCruz13

Out of all of those, the one I have played was Greedfall and while not amazing, it was a real gem and definitely Spider's best title yet. Also, about Left Alive, the game is no longer bad anymore. I mean, yeah it's still very flawed but it's more mediocre now thanks to its updates. Plus, I have played worse game like it, such as Gene Rain.

@AdamNovice Ouch. Now that game was a real bummer. Did that game recieved any DLCs? Even Sonic Forces recieved some. Really felt like they had little faith in it

@Octane That's kinda funny cause whenever I go to any of the Push Square articles about the game or even on any other sites (like Gematsu) or youtube videos, there were definitely people interested in the game. I recall one guy praising it for looking like a PS2 platformer or something like that. I wonder what those people think of the game now?

@leucocyte Yeah, Anthem is a good contender. The only good thing that game had was the customization with the mechs.

Re: Mini Review: Last Labyrinth - PSVR's Most Baffling Experience

LuisCruz13

@SoulsBourne128 Ah yes, Reborn Samurai Awakens. What a mess that was. I was surprised by the lack of polish given the game was in development for 3 years. My guess is that Geronimo Interactive lost faith in their project and winking just didn't know what to do, which explains why Winking VR dropped from backing the game up. I wonder if they released it now just to cash in on the Star Wars game hype, given that the gravity attack is called "the force" and the saber sound effects being straight up ripped from Star Wars.

Say what you will about Last Labyrinth but the game does have its own share of charm. It's not without flaws but it's okay. Plus, as you can see, the developers of Last Labyrinth actually responded to criticism unlike Reborn devs, so kudos to them.

Re: ReadySet Heroes - Fundamental Flaws Betray a Novel Twist on Multiplayer Dungeon Crawling

LuisCruz13

Well, that's not good. I knew something like this was going to happen just like what happened with other dead online-focused PS4 exclusive indies that barely got any attention like Dollhouse, Blade Ballet and Megalith. I guess the praise for the game before was all for nothing...

@hotukdeals "The whole feel of the game feels like a F2P game."

So basically, it's this year's Drawn to Death. Seriously though, unless that got some heavy marketing, these devs should really turn their online-only indies F2P if they really want some recognition.

Re: THQ Nordic to Publish Sony's Monkey King: Hero Is Back from 17th October

LuisCruz13

$30-$40? Sounds like a steal if the game's content is enough. At least it's not $60. I was impressed from what I saw about the game. The first showcase didn't do much for me but overtime it's started to look a lot better.

Will definitely add this on my wish list. Though I do wonder what Paradise and Desperate mode are. And will these bonuses and DLCs be available on PS Store for those who didn't nab these editions once time has passed?

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's ChinaJoy 2019 Live Stream?

LuisCruz13

@get2sammyb Nice, because there were other teased chinese games that I was really interested on seeing like Genesis, Blazing Beaks, Godslayer, Mr. Pumpkin Head Adventure (I think), Super Buckyball Tournament, etc.

Heck, Don't Even Think is supposed to be shown there. You guys really need to cover that game sometime because just like what Soulsbourne said, that game was Farside before. I played it a week ago. One of the worst BR games I have played right now lol. Best compliment I can give to the game is that it's better than Culling 2 but that's about it.

Re: Sony Teases Loads of New PS4 Games Ahead of Its ChinaJoy Press Conference on 1st August

LuisCruz13

@SoulsBourne128 Oh yeah, I remember that game. Played it last week. Felt like a poor battle royale game with a sloppy execution for good ideas. Wouldn't have been so bad if the werewolves weren't so overpowered. Even mediocre chinese BR games on mobile like Knives Out and Cyber Hunter were more enjoyable.

The fact that it was announced back in ChinaJoy 2018 makes it even worse.

Re: Round Up: ANTHEM PS4 Reviews Falter

LuisCruz13

@Djtyme I accept your opinion but I won't lie that I sorta chuckled when you called the story "amazing". Though I don't know if you were talking about its visual moments. If it's that, then I agree but story wise? Even Andromeda had more interesting story and characters. I actually played the beta and personally, the game was okay. I do think that it could be improved. Just look at what happened with Division, Battlefield 4 and For Honor. They were all mediocre on their early days but later on they slowly improved and became favorites to the people who once hated the game. Like for me, I used to absolutely hate Division, but after its updates, it slowly became one of my favorite loot-based shooters. A lot better than Destiny personally.

Re: Chinese RPG Sword & Fairy 6 Heads West on PS4 This April

LuisCruz13

@Agramonte "Rough" can sadly be applied to most chinese games nowadays, especially the PC and console ones (mostly the former). Even the upcoming Monkey King game suffers the same issue.

If someone played this game, I want to know how's the game in terms of combat, content and story. From what I have read, Sword and Fairy seems to be pretty popular in China.

Re: Round Up: Jump Force PS4 Reviews Bring the Manga Mash-Up Down to Earth

LuisCruz13

@Gamer4Lyfe I mean, not every reviews are terrible. Some of those reviewers actually go full in depth on the game's pros and cons, instead of just calling those points good, bad, annoying, etc. And honestly, this also goes the same with gamers as well. Some of them were way too positive with the game, to the point that they'll be calling the game a masterpiece (someone actually did this with Quiet Man), or they'll just say that the game crap and call it a day, with some additional overloaded nitpicking. I think it's okay with you giving your own opinion. Just don't go soft with the game and actually acknowledge the flaws of the game and the audience it's targeted towards without being overly positive, nor overly negative.

Re: Vane - Exploration Has Never Been Less Fun

LuisCruz13

@RBMango They confirmed on reddit that they'll be fixing the game's issues.

Still, the fact that only after the release they are acknowledging the glaring flaws, even after the PSX demo, is unacceptable. YIIK also suffered the same issue.

I like indies but sometimes it makes me wonder if the team even thought of testing the game. It's especially bad when it's a self-published one, so it's not like they were forced to release it before fixing it (something Bandai really loves doing).

Re: Megalith - A Run-of-the-Mill PSVR MOBA

LuisCruz13

@JamesBrown16 Dark Eclipse was very underrated. Not for everyone (the gameplay can be pretty slow but hey, this site gave Natural Doctrine a 7 so whatever), but it definitely shows potential. I especially love how not forced the microtransactions are.
