oh man i am getting some AWFUL frame rate issues in one of the bigger story battle sequences after this update. first real performance issue i have had in about 60 hours but it is so bad

This game is as divisive as politics in the US lol I love seeing the debates ensue. It does seem like everyone that hates it has not bothered to try it which I get since it’s a high price point for entry but it’s a hell of a fun time for anyone that actually bothered to give it a chance. And agree with those saying it was nowhere near broken at launch I’ve been having a blast since day one and all of the improvements are welcome additions to an already awesome product. If you are on the fence go for it you will not regret it. Playing every chance I get when my newborn gives me a few spare minutes 😵

@Max_the_German or they had a measurably simpler product in almost every aspect that required a lot less work to get off the ground

@Stragen8 I remember being a kid and not knowing it was turn based when I got it and being so disappointed. I didn’t even know what turn based was then lol but I wish I gave it a chance in hindsight, turned based LOTR sounds amazing now

I might have the best base PS5 on the planet but I have zero performance issues! Literally zero and the only graphical issue is the hilarious pop in where flowers and stuff just grow out of the ground as you move around. But this game slaps I really like almost everything about it. Would not rate until playing a lot more but so far it’s a certified 9/10

I understand people being annoyed some issues weren’t worked out ahead of time but it’s also awesome to see this much post launch support and care by a dev. None of the issues are game breaking and it’s really cool they want to keep improving an already solid product

@Nightcrawler71 I agree with this, they aren’t necessarily intuitive but they are manageable if you’re actually paying attention and not just mindlessly mashing through. And even if you are button mashing you can still get through it

@DennisReynolds how you liking it so far? I’ve only played about an hour and a half but was really enjoying it. It’s certainly unconventional and the motivation behind alot of the quests is vague at best but I’m really liking most things about it

It sounds pretty awesome I just watched the ACG review, my main concern is the difficulty of boss fights, sounds like they can be brutal and outright unfair. Anyway I really want it so I’m probably getting it regardless lol

Is Marathon really that different from Destiny in how it operates? Genuinely asking but I don’t remember that game getting so much hate and it was tremendously popular. Why are people so against this? I guess just because the market is so saturated with live service but still I don’t know why people are so convinced this game can’t be good/successful when it’s following in the same path as destiny and destiny 2. I don’t care about these kind of games but the hate seems unwarranted

I was never going to play this but this was a thoroughly entertaining trip through the comments section.

This game had such a cool world and concept but man the gameplay was the opposite of fun for me. Painful to get through

@Queesh I’m not trying to be the defender of digital here but calling this an ethical debate is a leap

@Olskeezy vast majority seems like a gross overstatement, most major releases still come out physically and those are the bulk of the numbers reflected in this decline

I know people here are obsessed with physical and I get it but the sales speak for themselves it is a dying market and digital is just too convenient for most people to pass up

@saffeqwe if you read the review one of the detriments is you play more as Leon and not enough as Grace, so presumably the more survival horror centric gameplay featuring her is excellent but not as heavily featured

Could have probably had a much bigger player base if they went with a different name than "King of Meat". It still would have died anyway but you are DOA with that choice

I'm finally playing Lies of P and it really is the Bloodborne sequel we never got. So if anyone held out on that game like I did and still is waiting on BB2 it is probably time for you to play it too

I wish I could get into Nioh but I’ve never been able to and this demo didn’t do it for me either, glad everybody else is loving it though

Ah man kind of a bummer, was hoping it would review atleast a little better. I might still get it, it looks so wacky and different but the gameplay being tedious is very concerning

okay i am finally sold this looks freakin awesome! just hope performance is okay at launch. i am not expecting much from the story but the world looks really incredible. those two other playable characters were a really cool addition. this was by far the best showcase they have done and answers a lot of questions for me

this looks like a lot of other games people love so idk why it is getting so much hate. i get that its nothing original but neither are a lot of the pvp shooters people go nuts over. anyway not my thing to begin with so i am out

Doesn’t this kind of ruin people’s argument for physical over digital when they can just shut the whole thing off regardless of the format you own it on?
