@Rich33 the demo really impressed me, not quite enough to pull the trigger but i thought the combat was super fun and the boss fights were really entertaining. again not going to buy it yet but i will definitely revisit it down the line just based on the gameplay alone
the game is great and deserves its sales. people ask for shorter story driven games all the time but then turn around and complain when they get exactly what they asked for so there is just no pleasing them lol. loving my time with this one and love the price tag to quality ratio
I respectfully disagree although I do understand the criticisms. I love it so far for what it is, I think the story is actually really great mainly because of the characters and performances, and I find the gameplay pretty engaging although it is simplistic. Certainly does not reinvent the wheel in any area but the combination of all elements comes out to something really special for me
For what it’s worth (maybe not much) IGN gave it an 8. I will wait for some more trusted sources on YouTube to give a fleshed out analysis before deciding, I really want to play in Old Italy but idk if they really brought the full package here based on the mixed responses and lack of transparency
I was really hyped for this but the more I have seen it just does not look like anything special at least from a gameplay perspective. I do love the setting though so I will see how the reviews turn out
The demo was fine but not nearly enough to make me open my wallet. Nothing innovative or particularly interesting to me so I’d rather play something with a better hook or at the very least better production value. Not going to compare everything to E33 but this was more expensive at launch and not even half as interesting so I don’t feel all that bad overlooking it
@DennisReynolds one nice thing they included in accessibility is the ability to turn down their intensity, not sure if you can completely get rid of them but you can minimize them significantly from my understanding. I love them though even if it means I can only ever play the game in small doses lol
@Coffeeglitch I suppose it’s kind of like a Death Stranding 2 situation where the core gameplay elements remain the same but the story is different and there’s a lot more options on how to approach things. That is working very well for me personally with DS2 and this looks like it will do the same. I guess I just don’t know what else anyone would expect
Very surprised by the negativity in these comments I thought it looked like it innovates a lot on the first game and made lots of engaging improvements. I am very much looking forward to it more now than I was before the SOP
I have yet to play Split Fiction but this list looks perfect to me. Cannot wait to get into that one. KCD2 and E33 are 1 and 1a for me but I agree with their ranking as well
@Bramble teams have deeply established roots and history in their cities with endless connections and meanings to individuals. I could understand your argument if they started the team yesterday but beyond that it holds no weight
@Ainu20 I think we should be safe just given the fact that this is only a fraction of the sales generated by a single player focused title in Elden ring. I know it’s early but it seems unlikely the game will come even close to the final sales figures of the main game, especially given the mixed reception to the quality of Nightreign. It makes sense for From to do side projects like this to make additional money and reach this kind of market but I’m hopeful that they still know where their bread is buttered
I like the show and the episode for what it is. It obviously will never compare to the game in terms of execution but I think it does a fine job conveying the story to the masses. I don't see massive issues in the writing although it can be heavy handed at times. Anyway I am enjoying it well enough
@Blacksmith1985 well it is 60 which I still consider full price, if it was 70 that would be even more egregious. It is a fun demo though and I do want to play the whole thing at some point
The demo is fun and charming but it is hard to imagine shelling out full price for a game like this when we are getting games like E33 and Mafia for 50 bucks. I do want to support these devs but the quality does not seem to match the asking price and I think it should have launched around 40 or 50 at most
@EfYI I am admittedly just a big hater of all things Don’t Nod but for me it’s a walking sim with terrible characters and a really weak story so I just don’t understand what anyone likes about it. But again just my opinion and I shouldn’t be raining on anyone’s parade for enjoying what they make
Esquie is one the funniest and strangest characters I’ve seen in media. He is just as confusing as he is lovable and I would buy this in a heartbeat, mon ami
@cburg "And just to be clear here, PlayStation is culpable in all this. While it may not be embracing the practice with its own software, it should be putting pressure on third-party publishers like Bethesda..." doesn't really read like "Sony good" to me
Sackboy ABA remains a great and underrated platformer. Love the old Little Big Planet games too and would happily play more. There is room for both him and Astro, could even be collaboration potential but alas it seems this is the end for our dear stitched friend

Re: Mini Review: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5) - Decent Souls-Like Suffers Technically
Oh boy “serviceable” under pros is not a great sell lol this one looked pretty generic from the first trailer

@LikelySatan really weird argument. i get if it is not for you but it makes sense

Re: Madden NFL 26's PS5 Box Art Immortalises One of the Coldest Moments in Recent Football Memory
@Bramble because, just as you said, the team is what represents the city

Re: Elden Ring Nightreign (PS5) - A Ruthless Roguelike Reinvention of the Lands Between
Decidedly not for me still given the online multiplayer focus but I am glad they aren't pumping out an overly watered down product
