not loving the war paint on Aloy but all of the other ones are cool. I probably won't get them I have enough junk cluttering my desk but 10 years ago I would have been all over this kind of thing

really liking it so far and I have gotten to the final boss but there are a lot of areas I still can't figure out how to get to. I am looking down over the cliff and see so much of the map but I cannot get down there! might break soon and just do some Googling so I can finally explore that whole lower section of the map before I finish things off

Can't make it to the octagon once in the last 3 years but has time to be in a random Hitman expansion lol

thanks for doing this after I finally beat Messmer lol. but nah I don't think they should have done it. they designed it the way it was for a reason. that being said I am not complaining about a little more help when I hear the final boss is brutal

@Cloud39472 laughable take. what is the point of gaming in general then? just because there is more of an emphasis on overcoming challenges and people enjoy that doesn't say anything about their lives. its the type of gaming experience they enjoy, just like you enjoy your own experience. the accomplishment is personal and has nothing to do with bragging it just feels good to know you put in the work and were able to overcome something difficult and complex

The first game is some of the earliest and best memories I have getting into video games, always played it with family for hours when I was a kid

@Contimaloris I've heard others say if you run the PS4 version on PS5 it runs smoother. I never had any issues with how it runs though with the PS5 version

@Silenos I think I’m about 210 and was a little concerned about being over leveled but I’m still getting my ass kicked by basic enemies and side bosses sometimes so I think I’m gonna need all the help I can get lol

@djlard I've played this game 5 times and I have never noticed issues with the hitboxes more than once or twice in the total time

@Cloud39472 those expectations are set by Square Enix more than Push Square and it seems to me they respond accordingly rather than having their own bias. Square is constantly setting ridiculously high sales expectations on their games and they consistently fail to deliver on them so that's where it comes from imo. Final Fantasy is also a massive property so it makes sense to have higher marks than something much more niche like DD2 or SB

Just came to echo what others have said this game rocks. Playing through it now and the complaints about enemy variety are warranted but other than that the performance has been fine and the fast travel stuff isn't too much of a hindrance. Story and gameplay are excellent

@gamer1889 I noticed this too, I think it is an error with the listing and is supposed to be included with the subscription. I just signed up to play the game so I'm hoping they fix it soon

yeah Sand Land! I imagine Stellar Blade is going to siphon most of the attention from this one but it does not really appeal to me. I will definitely be getting this at some point it looks so good and seems like a lot of fun. No questions from me but thanks Robert for the thorough review!

@breakneck I think it captures the scale they're going for with the game very well. it doesn't always have to be simple if you're trying to embody something massive

@ApostateMage lmao! it drove me crazy the praise some of the characters in this game got they are as deep as a puddle. their defining qualities are just "loyal" and that is all there is to it. wild to me that anyone could see it differently

Never going back to this game after the platinum, I liked it for what it was but there is not enough there to go back. The combat was deep but all of the nuance felt really unnecessary given how easy the game is. Characters were pretty uninteresting and there is just no incentive to return for any expansion imo
