Sidescrolling through my weekend with Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (Castlevania Requiem), Darkwing Duck (Disney Afternoon Collection) and the Streets of Rage trilogy (Sega Megadrive Classics).
I really enjoy these retro bundles on PS4, looking to pick up the Capcom Beat ‘em up Bundle soon as well.
Tekken 7, 3D fighting in all its glory. Mandatory game in any fighting fan’s library.
I personally prefer the fighting in SF V but I played online until I reached the point where it stopped being fun. This has nothing to do with the quality of the game, I just didn’t enjoy the way I was playing anymore. Still, the fighting is phenomenal.
Injustice 2, to me, delivers the best presentation. Glorious storymode, awesome stage transitions, endless multiverse madness.
Guilty Gear XRD Rev 2 looks great and the fighting is smooth but I have no idea what’s going on storywise. The online multiplayer lobby is the most deserted place on the entire PSN.
I just got DB FighterZ in the current sale but I haven’t played yet and I need to get into Soul Calibur VI soon.
@kyleforrester87 It’s a night that takes us back to the days when life was simple. We don’t see eachother enough these days so we all find it important to honour this tradition.
@MonkeyDLuffy19 Even though we kick some serious ass after a few hours practice I wouldn’t call us hardcore or dedicated. Just a bunch of guys enjoying a nostalgic tradition.
Tomorrow me and a bunch of friends have our annual LAN-party. It's the 7th year we do this and it is always an absolute blast!
Every year we set up our network in a room of the local youth center, everybody brings his own pc and we play Unreal Tournament 2004 / Age of Empires 2 / Warcraft 3 all night long. There will also be a beamer and a gamecube for Mario Kart and Smash Bros Melee in between sessions! Throw in some beer and deep fried snacks and you have yourself a night of mayhem!
Really looking forward to it, going to play some UT 2004 tonight to see how rusty my skills have become.
@themcnoisy Having a management sim / city builder itch? Same here, playing Tropico 5 atm and looking to get Jurassic World Evolution in the current sale.
@RogerRoger Burley Men At Sea is a jolly little experience indeed. Took me a little over 2 hours to platinum and I enjoyed it a lot. The music stood out for me.
I will be trying some challenges and circuit experiences in Gran Turismo Sport, some Boss Rush bonanza in The Disney Afternoon Collection and some Multiverse madness in Injustice 2.
Some racing for a change: Trackmania Turbo and Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo. There’s a place in the backseat for some SF V, The Disney Afternoon Collection and COD BO 3 as well.
@Th3solution Hey, at least we have an excuse to wear an oversized sweater and sweatpants all day . Take care and enjoy your time between coughing and sneezing!
@RogerRoger Thanks, much appreciated. Apart from the occasional handkerchief breaks and sneeze attacks the body parts required for gaming seem to hold up very well so I'll manage .
@RogerRoger I’m really glad I did this but I’m also ready to take a long break from the genre.
You will never find me sitting alone in a dark room playing a survival horror but I came to appreciate a lot of things in these type of games. The slow pacing, emphasis on sound effects, music and the use of silence. All these elements contribute to an intense experience, which I deeply enjoy but only when I’m in the right mood.
I bought the Disney Afternoon Collection in the recent sale to play something completely different. Took a quick look at the trophy list: now that’s scary! Also looking to return to some action games: GOW 3 Remastered, Hitman, Just Cause 3,...
I will continue exploring the darker corners of the human psyche. Looking to finish Here They Lie tonight and start Amnesia: The Dark Descent tomorrow.
@LaNooch1978 Damn! I spent hours coming up with something that edgy. How am I going to intimidate new players and glorify a life of crime while referencing drug culture? Man that name was perfect.
It's not for me. I wouldn't make enough use of the service to justify the monthly price. Very happy to focus on the games I own/buy in combination with the surprise of the monthly Plus games.
I finally beat survival mode on extreme in Street Fighter V so after 100+ consecutive fights I’m done with it for the weekend. Might play some Guilty Gear, it’s been a while.
@Futureshark Same here. I really want to play TO 1886 but I’m 100% sure that when I buy it it will be on Plus the next month. Maybe I’ll have to make the sacrifice First let’s play some Mafia 3.
I would like to add Aven Colony. Amazing game that plays like it was made for PS4.
There are a lot of titles on this list that I have yet to play. It’s great that strategy games find their way to home consoles and work well without mouse and keyboard.

Feeling quite miserable due to a massive cold. Sore throat, watery eyes, a runny nose, ... the whole package.
Gonna sit this one through with some cups of hot tea, GOW III Remastered, The Disney Afternoon Collection and some random games on the fly.

The last weekend of my Horroctober (terrible, I know) so it’s the Amnesia Collection and Resident Evil for PS4.
Just finished TWD season 1 so I might play through the 400 days DLC episode.

Re: Layers of Fear 2 Will Stop You from Sleeping in 2019
Still need to play the first one. Looks like it’s crafted with a lot of passion for the genre and with a lot of understanding of the human psyche.

Re: Nautical Roguelike Sunless Sea Sets Sail to PS4 This Year
I played Failbetter’s Fallen London. A text-based adventure/RPG. It’s great and the writing is exceptional.
This game never really appealed to me but I might give it a go some time now that it’s on PS4.
