Re: GTA 6's Trailer Was Captured on Standard PS5, Sony Likely Has Marketing Rights

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Can't wait for Digital Foundry's thoughts on the PS5 Pro running this and the capabilities. Would be stunned if it did 60fps at full resolution but if not then it means there's no reason to get the Pro. I can't imagine Take Two allowing GTA VI to run poorly on the base consoles so I'm completely disregarding the Pro adding general stability - it has to do something big to justify upgrading

Re: Surprise Ecco the Dolphin Remasters Revealed for PS5, New Game on the Way

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Love this. Glad at least one major publisher/developer isn't forgetting their dormant IPs. Very interested in Sega's lineup for the next few years.

Probably controversial but I was a bit sad when Embracer collapsed - strictly in terms of their strategy I was loving their AA budgeted visits back to old IPs like Destroy All Humans. Shame they just put all their financial eggs in one stupid basket

Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (April 2025)

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Glad to see such a strong month, especially after 2024 was a bit void of hard hitters! Forza gets my vote - tons of content and longevity, wonderfully polished, but it's a bit unfair as it's technically an older release. If I had to pick a newer game, I'd say Clair Obscura.

On a side note - with Triple Jump and Polygon being demolished I really hope you guys have no plans to go away in the future ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Re: Devolver Will Be 'Leaning Further into' Its Existing IPs as Best-Selling Games Revealed

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

A modern Serious Sam would be nice. Hopefully Devolver keeps the budgets reasonable so the expectations aren't "sell a hundred million copies". Not sure their corporate set up but that variety of IP would be really good for some devs from different ones to work together to expand knowledge from within. Eurogamer had a recent article on building in studio talent actually

Re: PS Plus Re-Release Bags Much Better Trophy List

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@Americansamurai1 good point on the song, which is actually quite critical for the game's entire tone haha

I'd love a remake too but it's absolutely not going to happen, you're right they cancelled the Twisted Metal game they were secretly developing (I think screenshots leaked after the cancellation) and Sony seems to only want to pump up their AAA massive budget games that are all third person open world adventures. Really wish they'd create an incubator AA studio for their new or less experienced devs and give them smaller budgets to do stuff with older IPs.

Re: PS Plus Re-Release Bags Much Better Trophy List

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@Americansamurai1 I hope you're right but I just can't see Black making the cut, it's so much more violent than any of the other first party PS2 classics they've put up (I think). But then again, they did sell it on PS4 so who knows. I just want to get a platinum

Re: Atlus Drops Surprise Persona 3 Reload PS5, PS4 Demo

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Was kind of disappointed by Persona 3 Reload, I started with P5R and went to P4G on Vita which I loved, had ... leveled expectations for P3R given the source material age but it really doesn't do it for me. Not sure why it ranks amongst the highest of them all.

Also side note: everyone cheering a digital future, the game digitally is half off? I paid less than £20 on eBay for a physical copy, beat the game in two months and resold it for the same price. Buy digital if you want but don't let the greedy corporations take our disc drives!!

Re: Enjoy Pure PS1 Nostalgia with Lunar Remastered Collection's Story Trailer

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I've never played Lunar (or Suikoden, or Grandia) so all of the classics coming back is great for me. And it'll be interesting to see how they are - I have 0 nostalgia for them and don't even know the basics plots, but I also have 0 issues with classic JRPG mechanics.

Normally I'd say it's rare to experience a classic for the first time, but it's even rarer to have SIX games to check out. The only question is, which series do I start with?

Re: Bungie Will Reveal Its Next PS5 Game Marathon on 12th April

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I seriously worry that this game will be detrimental to Bungie as a company. I'm sure that unlike other Sony live service games this was 100% Bungie's idea and passion, but the toxic approach by Sony has probably poisoned the well. I'll revisit this comment if the game comes out, is well reviewed and reinvigorates the company, but outside of random comments on an enthusiast news page (this one!) I just don't see the mass appeal

Re: Legendary Trophy Hunting Game My Name Is Mayo Returns with New PS5 Remaster

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I don't care if games solely built for the purpose of platinums exist, but there needs to be a special filterable tag for them. I've had to resort to a third party price tracking site where I've been individually hiding them for years just to clearly see actual games that are on sale. And a lot of the time the smaller indie gems get caught up in that, because it's difficult to tell at surface level.

Re: Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis System Created to Combat the Used Games Market

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I think I'm on an island alone here but I put maybe 10 hours into Shadow of Mordor and did not like it at all. It felt so incredibly aimless and goalless... Maybe I was playing it wrong.

I'm very sad the studio closed, though. They had the balls to make a completely original game in the Lord of the Rings world without mentioning Lord of the Rings. And they were obviously talented.

Re: Capcom Celebrates Dragon's Dogma 2's 1st Anniversary, But There's Still No Sign of an Expansion

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I think it'll have one considering that Capcom was pretty open about it being very successful, I'm wondering if it's taking time because of MH yes but also because they're doing a rather large expansion. Maybe that's wishful thinking but given the success of Dark Arisen and the amount of time and money spent developing DD2 they'd be silly not to release an awesome expansion.

Re: Persona 4 PS5 Remake Hopes Higher Still as Domain Registration Is Noted

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I played Persona 3 Reload and it was all right, looked at the original on YouTube and it was extremely simple, just modern (which is good I think). I platted Persona 4 Golden on Vita last year and it was excellent - would a remake have enough to convince me to play through the game a third time? I'm not sure.

But I'm glad it's coming out - I can recommend this to my friend that just started Persona 5 Royal and loves it!

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Soars Past 1 Million Players at Launch

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

What is wrong with gamers? Even on here people are like "ooooh Steam player counts" .. what losers. There are other platforms that people play on, and also - why do you care enough to read this article, decide to Google how many players are online on one platform, then comment something about it? Super weird way to spend your time.

I think the game looks fun, I'm not an AC fan but I'll probably pick this up in the future.

Re: Saints Row Team Thrown Under the Bus: 'They Didn't Know What They Were Building'

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I absolutely loved Saints Row 1 and 2 when they came out. 1 filled the GTA gap brilliantly, and 2 tightened the formula and had a really fun story with great humour. 3 was ok, I appreciated it more in 2020 than I did in 2013 or whenever I played it. I played 4 back to back, 100% both, and 4 was so awfully bad. Still had humour but it was extremely unfocussed and lazy - it was literally do a generic mission, go to spaceship hub, talk to someone, do another mission. Maybe the others were like that too and I can't put my finger right on it, but something changed with 4 and it rightly made me worry about the reboot (which I'm yet to play).

And I don't mind repetitive or "bad" games! But it really just felt like a massive drop in consistency

Re: BlizzCon Returns in 2026 After a Two Year Absence

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I hope BlizzCon actually announced something that isn't an expansion. Blizzard burned me bad though - I pre-ordered Warcraft 3 Reforged on the promise of new cutscenes, retcons to match WoW lore, and overall massive enhancements to the original game, and what I didn't realize until I started playing was that they decided to quietly cut all of that to save costs. And the worst part? They lied about it - instead of just saying we had to scale back our ambitions they pushed it onto the gamers, saying the feedback was to keep the game exactly as is.

Extremely dishonest to blame the consumer instead of just being transparent.

Re: Insomniac Delists, Relists VR Catalogue, and Few Even Noticed

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I would love to see VR almost exist alongside consoles as a go to thing, instead of feeling in its own little world. But I think Sony is finally doing the right thing in allowing affordable rentals of VR to increase the accessibility. I get severe moron sickness and years ago I tried a DK2 at the Bletchley computer museum (you have to go!!! So cool). I got so unbelievably nauseous on a rollercoaster that I stupidly agreed to do that I was basically in bed for 48 hours after that. Before the rollercoaster the physics games I tried were absolutely amazing. I get that VR has come a long way in 10 years but I'm honestly terrified to try it again.

But I would for a good cost and low commitment. And I would 100% buy one if that turned out well. The VR industry really needs to figure out how to get the masses to test it out, and not just at a special museum exhibit or Selfridges.

Re: Konami Announced a New Suikoden Game, But There's a Huge Catch

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I miss the early days of smartphones. There were some fantastic mobile only games - pay once and unlock them. Some went on to become massive franchises (Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Plants vs Zombies) beyond the mobile world. Now only games like Genshin have become a franchise, and that was a massively budgeted thing. Gacha games are just so inherently predatory that it worries me how into them people can get.

Also, I miss Zenonia - not sure if anyone's played it but was a great mobile RPG back then. And it was destroyed the minute they added microtransactions to the series.
