I think it'll have one considering that Capcom was pretty open about it being very successful, I'm wondering if it's taking time because of MH yes but also because they're doing a rather large expansion. Maybe that's wishful thinking but given the success of Dark Arisen and the amount of time and money spent developing DD2 they'd be silly not to release an awesome expansion.
...wow £25 for a shirt, £130 for a jacket. Happy anniversary, Kratos 🙄
That's £25 for a shirt that literally just says God of War on it with a PS logo on the sleeve. The biggest grift ever is consumers paying a lot of money to advertise for companies
I played Persona 3 Reload and it was all right, looked at the original on YouTube and it was extremely simple, just modern (which is good I think). I platted Persona 4 Golden on Vita last year and it was excellent - would a remake have enough to convince me to play through the game a third time? I'm not sure.
But I'm glad it's coming out - I can recommend this to my friend that just started Persona 5 Royal and loves it!
What is wrong with gamers? Even on here people are like "ooooh Steam player counts" .. what losers. There are other platforms that people play on, and also - why do you care enough to read this article, decide to Google how many players are online on one platform, then comment something about it? Super weird way to spend your time.
I think the game looks fun, I'm not an AC fan but I'll probably pick this up in the future.
The PS Vita version is probably the best there will ever be for this game. Tons of levels, tons of unlockables, absolutely 0 microtransactions, and pure fun.
Part of me feels a PS5 version wouldn't do so great considering PvZ's origins, and the rest of me fully believes that they'll add MTX.
Also didn't they fire the creator of the series after buying the company and IP? Blah
I absolutely loved Saints Row 1 and 2 when they came out. 1 filled the GTA gap brilliantly, and 2 tightened the formula and had a really fun story with great humour. 3 was ok, I appreciated it more in 2020 than I did in 2013 or whenever I played it. I played 4 back to back, 100% both, and 4 was so awfully bad. Still had humour but it was extremely unfocussed and lazy - it was literally do a generic mission, go to spaceship hub, talk to someone, do another mission. Maybe the others were like that too and I can't put my finger right on it, but something changed with 4 and it rightly made me worry about the reboot (which I'm yet to play).
And I don't mind repetitive or "bad" games! But it really just felt like a massive drop in consistency
@RiverGenie did the same, been subbed to Premium since they rebranded it, but realized in February that there's nothing there more enticing than my backlog right now, so may as well save some cash and work on that instead.
Surprised at these comments!! I watched it throughout high school and rewatched the movie for the first time in like 15 years recently. Laughed just as hard as I did in high school. Yes it's inappropriate for today's age and the jokes land a bit darker, but I love it
I hope BlizzCon actually announced something that isn't an expansion. Blizzard burned me bad though - I pre-ordered Warcraft 3 Reforged on the promise of new cutscenes, retcons to match WoW lore, and overall massive enhancements to the original game, and what I didn't realize until I started playing was that they decided to quietly cut all of that to save costs. And the worst part? They lied about it - instead of just saying we had to scale back our ambitions they pushed it onto the gamers, saying the feedback was to keep the game exactly as is.
Extremely dishonest to blame the consumer instead of just being transparent.
I would love to see RoboCop in VR. Why aren't we getting awesome games like that? Let me play as the Terminator in the future fighting the resistance. Anything from the 80s sci-fi era would be an awesome setup.
I would love to see VR almost exist alongside consoles as a go to thing, instead of feeling in its own little world. But I think Sony is finally doing the right thing in allowing affordable rentals of VR to increase the accessibility. I get severe moron sickness and years ago I tried a DK2 at the Bletchley computer museum (you have to go!!! So cool). I got so unbelievably nauseous on a rollercoaster that I stupidly agreed to do that I was basically in bed for 48 hours after that. Before the rollercoaster the physics games I tried were absolutely amazing. I get that VR has come a long way in 10 years but I'm honestly terrified to try it again.
But I would for a good cost and low commitment. And I would 100% buy one if that turned out well. The VR industry really needs to figure out how to get the masses to test it out, and not just at a special museum exhibit or Selfridges.
I miss the early days of smartphones. There were some fantastic mobile only games - pay once and unlock them. Some went on to become massive franchises (Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Plants vs Zombies) beyond the mobile world. Now only games like Genshin have become a franchise, and that was a massively budgeted thing. Gacha games are just so inherently predatory that it worries me how into them people can get.
Also, I miss Zenonia - not sure if anyone's played it but was a great mobile RPG back then. And it was destroyed the minute they added microtransactions to the series.
@nomither6 ...? Yes but it's probably happening, and it's being reported because the leaked has been correct before. It's a rumour because PushSquare can't independently verify it but definitely warrants reporting
They've also said this in the article basically but maybe you didn't read it
@DrVenture69 I don't know man, I don't think it's worth dropping £400 to play 3 games a lot... How many others would you say you really enjoyed and why?
£60 is fair, yes it's an old game but it's being newly launched on PS5. That being said I wouldn't pay it - but there's no crime over that pricing. Sony is still selling Ghost of Tsushima at at £70. Granted it does go on sale for half off, but the game is also 5 years old.
@UltimateOtaku91 ahh I get it, I watched and read a bunch of reviews last year and thought meh indie studio, ambitious game, it's on sale, I'll support that. And tbh the reviews were all accurate but I still enjoyed the game a lot and platted it (astounding considering the bugs)
The world and plot were generic but cool, and I don't normally like grid based combat but it was really fun and extremely challenging in a lot of boss fights, the last one in particular. Definitely am going to grab this but unless the reviews say it's bug free I'm waiting a few months
@Jrs1 the performance bump is probably very nice but no disc drive at that price point means I have to pay an additional fee just to use my existing collection. No thanks
Super excited this is doing well, been a fan of DW since 3 and this might be the shake up I need. Fell off hard after they made characters able to use other weapons - part of the appeal of having so many characters was the variety in styles. Now they're all kind of similar
@KingPev yes well I obviously haven't played it on the controller, I was essentially saying I'm curious how the controls work, considering I've only played RTS etc on PC before.
Lot of keyboards warriors here going off on tangents. Anyway, the ridiculous amount he's suing for makes me think he's wanting Sony to settle, which may happen just to avoid the publicity of the charges. But those out of context texts that were leaked are pretty.... *****, tbh. Not professional at all.
@Vladspartan not true. The beautiful thing about DC is they've never been afraid to experiment with their characters in any medium. Gotham Knights had flaws but it was a fun game, Suicide Squad was ... well, it could have been good from a story perspective if they changed every other system.
But Batman Beyond would be good - and it could take place in the Arkhamverse just like it took place in BTAS. With Kevin Conroy gone it's a good opportunity to recast the Arkham character to be older. And get Will Friedle back.
That's ok, the game wasn't that amazing either. I'm a huge Spider-Man fan, even had the comics delivered monthly as a kid, but Spider-Man 2 was not a great game. It was ok but but nowhere near as smooth storywise as the first one.
Anyway, it's astounding Sony doesn't put the property attention into PC. Doesn't matter if it's not your primary platform, you need to release a decent product otherwise people are going to avoid future releases
I don't mind nostalgic releases like this but PlayStation needs to step it up and start to provide heavy hitters. There are SO MANY excellent games out there and a lot of what we got are Disney games. And not every game has trophies, despite them being mandatory on console. Hard to implement retroactively? Maybe, but be transparent. The premium catalog is a joke, few gems in a sea of meh
@UK_ might be delayed but I doubt it, they've been developing it for basically a decade and they seem pretty committed to that date that being said,. Rockstar games usually launch in an amazingly high quality state, but all of the originators of the series are long gone and the publisher has very obviously taken over decision making, so while it may make the 2025 release date I wouldn't be surprised if there were significant bugs.
And the lack of another trailer means nothing and it's good they've not started marketing it properly yet. It should be a few months' long of a campaign but extremely penetrative and bombastic, that way it'll get people hyped but not be long enough for the hype to die down. Or, oddly, allow the hype to get too out of control
@LogicStrikesAgain I like to look at All Deals but it's impossible to navigate since all of the shovelware is listed at like 99p, and then at high points they start mixing in with actual good games so it's easy to miss them.
I've resorted to a third party price tracking site where I'm able to hide specific games. It takes forever but after (years..) of using the site I can pretty much immediately see the good stuff. And even then there's always 20 to 30 more shovelware I need to hide. I shouldn't have to do any of this.
I never played RE1, 2 or 3, played 10 minutes of 4 and hated it, but played through 5 multiple times both solo and coop. I know it was blasted for the direction it took the series but it was a really fun coop action game. I will say though that even though I say and associate "Resident Evil 5" with the game comfortably, if I hear "Resident Evil" I never would think of 5. Not sure if that makes sense 🤷♂️
But I love how they reinvented the series with 7, going first person and back into the creepy horror bits.
Capcom honestly has been fantastic with their old IPs post the Mega Man Legends 3 debacle, which angered a very niche audience. If they are remaking DMC then I'm sure it will be a top quality production, however if they were remaking it then would there even be a need for a younger Vergil voice? It'd either be a recast or just have him be himself (unless he sounds ancient now). So we'll see. Or maybe it's a prequel or something.
It is an absolute trip to see years old comments here from people excited about then upcoming games. Time really does go faster as you get older hahaha
I'm looking forward to the Max Payne remakes and The Witcher 4 but I'm genuinely curious about GTA 6 - will it meet all the hype?! People in the future will know
I would love to see a selection of bootup screens available. They'd never do that and if they did they definitely wouldn't do this - but it would be awesome if you could up unlock themes based off first party titles by beating the game. Little extra rewards for people to shoot for beyond trophies. And it'd be a lot of fun, too
"Go after" data miners? If it's on the disc then it's fair game. This is for any studio - either take the time to remove what you don't want seen or do what Mortal Kombat has done since the second game and mix in a ton on nonsense.
I hate spoilers and I miss being genuinely surprised by announcements but that's on me, not the data miner.
Absolutely no point to patch notes like that. A lot of Android apps do the same. I guess in many cases it's true (stability and anti hacking) but give us at least something nice alongside it
This is awesome, but serious question. Why are companies releasing remakes/remasters of sequels first? Or is it just because the first game is totally unrelated. I've never played Ninja Garden or Silent Hill 1/2, or even the first four Resident Evil games, but I've played MGS1 and never played 2. Why remake 3 before 1?
@Northern_munkey I actually messaged them after they released the PS5 version about an Inquisitor upgrade and also if the DLC was cross buy. The person who replied said that the upgrade wasn't free and implied that it wasn't the developers decision. The way it was worded implied (to me) that the devs weren't thrilled with that decision.
But you're right - the quality of the license is all over the place. I love that the IP is thrown across a lot of genres and there's a healthy amount of games coming out every year that are all drastically different, but they really could exert a bit more quality control over the titles. Although I'd also argue against that, because I'd worry the creativity would be stifled
@Keyblade-Dan unfortunately that jank won't appeal to the millions of people who only stayed with Skyrim. They have certain levels of tolerance, but it only goes so far.
As a Mortal Kombat fan I'm thrilled to see two different entries both in the top ten. I hope it's enough to convince WB to keep investing in the franchise but painful enough to get them to ease up on the awful mountain of MK1
@Majin_Deicide They did - apparently the game will scale to one or three players and they want three players to feel accomplished upon defeating a boss. Makes little sense and is very dumb

I love this stuff (TCRF is so much fun to peruse), but it's a shame it didn't come out years after the release of the actual games.
As a side note, I really have to be old. I didn't know people were looking forward to 2XKO - I can't even pronounce the name.
