Re: Sony's Zelda Movie Confirms Its Link and Zelda Actors

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Excited for this but curious who the target audience is. Will it be kids? Or more of a Princess Bride/Hook- type adventure where it's aiming for older kids? Would love it if it filled that gap. Little light violence and some scares but nothing too crazy - I feel like a lot of films today don't even try to strike that balance anymore.

Re: Hands On: Chronological Mode Is a Fascinating Way to Play The Last of Us 2 Again

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I played for the first time (and platted) this game a couple weeks ago, so that's two playthroughs that are fresh in my mind. I was in the middle of doing my No Return trophies when this dropped so I hopped back into chronological mode and I actually really enjoyed it. Yes, there are a couple scenes that are jarring, but it actually helped me understand a couple things better.

Can't remember what those things were because they were small bits but in the moment I really appreciated it, and it made for an enjoyable third playthrough

Re: Sony Santa Monica's Next Big Thing Not a New IP But May 'Feel Like One'

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Twisted Metal that isn't F2P?! One can dream.

I'm tired of Sony's existing output. Their games are extremely pretentious feeling, and yes they're really good but I want some different genres. If this is ANOTHER third person open world collectathon I will go insane. I love third person adventure games, but Playstation owns a ton of amazing IPs begging for even AA budgeted revivals (which is why I'm sad Embracer is gone despite their stupidity).

AA would mean we'd get more output, too, because we're basically getting one game every generation from each of their studios.

Re: Xbox's Forza Horizon 5 Sold an Outrageous 2 Million Copies on PS5 in a Month

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Love this but also hate the lack of competition for Sony, who instead of making another GT Sport or even MotorStorm will probably be happy with their 30% cut of Forza sales. 0 risk there for them. Probably the same for Sony's shooters too - Gears of War and Halo will help their bottom line. The only thing Xbox doesn't have really is a third party adventure game, thank god Sony has a hundred of them now 🙄

God damn shame.

Re: Twisted Metal Shapes Up for Another Season of Sublimely Stupid Television

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@ATaco they had one in development, it was a live service title which ultimately was cancelled.

I enjoyed the 2013 Twisted Metal, and Twisted Metal Black was the peak (although very much of its era). Wish they'd just give us an AA budget Twisted Metal game, keep it dark, have strong single player content but a few online maps and stuff, would be so happy. Not everything has to be live service or mega huge budget.

Re: Free PS5 Fashion Platformer Infinity Nikki Seeks Redemption in Blue Tears Update

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Just started this game, my girlfriend's been laughing at me but it's the perfect chill game. I know nothing of the updates or community but find it extremely difficult to figure out what all the currencies all - especially what to hoard vs spend as I go for the platinum.

I think I'm almost finished Chapter 1 but is the story really that good? I've sort of been skipping it as I thought it was just an excuse to get you to spend money but maybe I shouldn't be?

Re: MindsEye Considered an 'Abject' PS5 Pro, PS5 Game in Tech Analysis

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@dskatter what a negative comment. The game should've never released in this state, but I hope they are able to fix it. That's a ton of devs staying employed in a terrible industry, hopefully it's the execs learning how to not do this in the future, and of course maybe we can all get a great game.

Too many gamers are just so, so negative. There's a lot of deserved criticism but there are real people at that studio who are trying to do a job and stay employed.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Officially Game Over for PSVR2?

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

VR is a case where tech is telling audiences what they want instead of listening to what the audiences actually want. Just like 3D TVs, or curved ones, or the Kinect, or smart glasses. None of that is natural demand and none of them actually adds decent value to the existing experiences. The former two things in particular felt like a way to justify raising costs on items to increase profits.

Re: Round Up: Digimon Story Time Stranger Previews Are Super Positive, Set to Be a Surprise Hit on PS5

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

So glad to hear this. I've always preferred the Digimon anime to the Pokemon one because of how dark it was. Bunch of kids ripped from their parents and everything they know are thrust into a world that makes no sense where everything wants to kill them. The dynamics between the kids were great. Even saw the movie (which I think was 3 episodes?) in cinemas and it blew my mind

Anyway. Looking forward to this because I really liked Cyber Sleuth, and if everyone's saying this is a significant improvement then I'm about to be blown away

Re: MindsEye Is Comfortably the Worst Reviewed PS5 Game of 2025

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

Still interested in this, just not at the price point. Shouldn't have been released in this condition, that executive should have shut his mouth about the bad press, and they wouldn't be rewarded for fixing a buggy game.. but I just selfishly want more games like this. Just polished. Some of the best games on PS3 are the ones that kept a story focused linear trajectory with minimal fluff, give me more X-Men Origins: Wolverine or Kane & Lynch and less Assassins Creed and Dark Souls

Re: That's All, Folks: MultiVersus Is Shutting Down Today on PS5, PS4

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@Skyliner no they're not and that's one reason why the game was so successful early on. But you have to have a great underlying system, and the team just couldn't nail down proper upgrades - instead they took the game down for a year killing all the momentum and then relaunched it at a ***** state.

I don't mind a smorgasbord of IPs in a game as long as the game is fun. But that's just it - it HAS to be fun

Re: Internal Death Stranding 2 Reviews Are Tracking Much Higher Than the First Game, But Kojima Isn't Pleased

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I find it so weird that people seem to love Kojima. I respect and actually admire the fact that he is one of the few people to be able to make games the way he wants to, and they are truly unique experiences, but he is just so unbelievably pretentious as a person it's irritating.

And this is probably controversial, but (with 0 insider knowledge) I am pretty sure Konami, for all its faults, were right to fire him. Creativity is great, but in the business world you have to adhere to the limitations bestowed on you and your projects. That being said though I think he's significantly better off for it so win/win

Re: GTA 4 Could Be Getting a PS5 Port to Help Ease the Wait for the Next Game

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

I 100% it on PS3 a few years ago. The PS3 version absolutely sucked performancewise but it was still an amazing game, driving physics are definitely the best in the series, the dark humour is dialed up to 10, it's actually quite a depressing claustrophobic game all around.

Not sure if I have it in me to 100% it again (even if the multiplayer isn't there, which it won't be) but I'm super excited for a new generation of people to experience this.

Re: Meet the Cast of GTA 6, PS5's Craziest Group of Criminal Misfits Yet

ItsAlwaysSunnyyy

@LifeGirl I agree. All of the other games were super distinctive in some way, mostly through being satires. Vice City was mafia, San Andreas was 90s Compton, IV was the paranoia and hypocrisy of post-9/11 USA, GTA V was essentially capitalism.

I'm very worried that the magic Rockstar had in creating something fun and unique and humorous left when everyone involved in the 3D era left. I'm sure this'll be a good game, but will it have that traditional GTA feeling? Honestly, probably won't matter. Still sad
