Update []: MindsEye developer Build a Rocket Boy has confirmed yesterday's IGN report of the studio entering into a process where it expects to make significant redundancies. In a statement provided to the outlet, it said it's made the "painful decision to notify our hardworking team of some internal changes at Build A Rocket Boy".
It continues: "While we are working to reassign roles for as many of those impacted by these changes as possible, sadly we are initiating a formal consultation process that may result in redundancies. This decision has not been made lightly, and we are committed to handling this process with transparency, fairness, and respect for all employees."

Original Story: MindsEye studio Build a Rocket Boy has started a redundancy process that could see more than 100 of its UK workers lose their jobs over the coming weeks, a new IGN report claims.
Sources within the team tell the outlet that management has begun a 45-day consultation process, which starts when a company in the UK plans to make 100 or more redundancies within a 90-day period. Word of the upcoming layoffs was shared with IGN via a letter sent to employees, where it's suggested the management remains committed to MindsEye and supporting it post-launch.
This is despite a truly disastrous launch that has seen the PS5 flop earn a Metacritic rating of 38 and concurrent player numbers on Steam rarely break 140. In our 3/10 rated PS5 review, we concluded: "MindsEye is a broken, boring mess of a game that has somehow been allowed out in the world."
