Neverness to Everness, perhaps better known as NTE these days, has released a new trailer to celebrate sign-ups for its closed beta Containment Test. It’s worth noting, said sampler will only be available to play on PC, despite the game also targeting PS5 and smartphones.

The new trailer doesn’t have any gameplay, but it sets out the title’s stall remarkably. This is an open world gacha game similar to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, but it’s got GTA vibes, with an Initial D-inspired racing scene shown in the trailer and even a Bocchi the Rock-style band performance.

Hotta Studio previously released a closed beta for this game in its native China, but the new version will feature English language support, suggesting the title is getting closer to release. Sony’s been promoting it on its social media channels, too.

While we’re not expecting the full release to be imminent, this beta is probably one of the last stages before a firm date gets attached to the project. We wouldn’t be surprised if the team is targeting a late 2025 release, assuming the beta is positively received.

If you do want to sign up to try the title on your PC, then you can do so right here. Remember, in addition to urban exploration and frenetic combat, NTE also has business simulation aspects, which is music to this author’s ears.
