Sandfall Interactive today announced Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now sold five million copies in five months, and to celebrate, an upcoming update will add a new location, late-game bosses, and new character outfits for free.
There's no word on when the PS5 patch will be released, but here's what it'll contain, as per the developer:
- A new, playable environment, taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover.
- Challenging, new boss battles for late-game players to overcome.
- New costumes for each member of the Expedition, giving even more customization options for players throughout their adventure.
- New text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
- And more to come…

This update will mark the first piece of completely new content added to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 after its launch back in April. Sandfall Interactive shared the following teaser image for the new content alongside the announcement:
