The final bonus PS Plus title as part of this year's Days of Play promotion, GTA 3 - The Definitive Edition is available for PS Plus Extra members now. This marks the return of the PS5, PS4 remaster, as it was part of PS Now when the bundle first launched.
Since that disaster, developer Video Games Deluxe was drafted in to fix the remastered package. A big patch improved the three games from the PS2 era, and Rockstar has since acquired the studio. Now, PS Plus Extra offers the chance to check out those enhancements.

I'll stick to my PS2 Disc.👍🏼
Trophy support?
You're asking me if I fancy another play through of one of my favourite games of all time?
Go on then.
Waited for this to be patched and now it seemingly has, it’s a good time to jump in. With the rumoured gta 4 remaster, I’m hoping to play through the series again before 6 releases
Based Leslie Benzies. Time flies by fast!
@AhmadSumadi this is "new" game, not emulated classic, it has trophies like every other game
"Now fixed and better than ever."
Having played both versions of GTA3 recently I can tell you that the tone of the original is still far superior. The original Liberty City feels dirty, seedy, gritty, with litter blowing across the streets and trash in the alleys. The Remaster still feels too clean, too smooth.
And i know that many of you will know exactly what I am talking about.
Really excited about the PS2 Deus Ex being emulated! PS1 Myst and Riven as well.
Let me buy San Andreas separately you jerks. It's free on Netflix ffs
Oh I should really play this again. Enjoyed my playthrough of the original version even if it’s super difficult at times.
@czDante92 thanks. Definitely will give it a go!
No no it's not fixed it will always be a rush job and I'll always call it the Defective Edition
No thanks. Bring the PS2 classics version back. This "definitive" edition is an abomination to mankind
@nessisonett Don't play it. It's the worst version by far
@crackeastwood I dunno man, it looks pretty fixed to me compared to the buggy version I tried on PS5 before.
@nessisonett I tried the latest version and lampposts still fall through the map when hit. Character models look like play-doh or Fortnite characters. Old PS2 textures still found everywhere alongside new textures. Radio is missing tons of songs due to expired licenses. Rain effects look worse than PS2 version. There's probably a lot more remaining issues that I'm not remembering. The PS2 version emulated or the original PC version with mods is a far better way to play these games.
@crackeastwood Well I’ve already played the PC version so at least this is something new…?
@nessisonett Well if you don't mind the bugs and lack of visual cohesion then go for it I guess
@VaultGuy415 It's not free, because it requires a Netflix subscription
@Yukairi gta3 is grungy?
