When is Hollow Knight: Silksong coming out? It's a question on the minds of gamers around the world, and has been for some time — but it seems the elusive game really might finally be on the horizon.
If you watched Xbox's showcase over the weekend, you may have noticed a cameo appearance from the stylish Metroidvania.
During the segment of the show all about the ROG Xbox Ally, Silksong gameplay is featured on the handheld device — and Xbox president Sarah Bond says the game will be playable on it when it launches this holiday season.

This caused a little bit of confusion, with some taking this to mean Silksong would be launching alongside the Xbox handheld. However, Team Cherry has cleared things up.
Marketing and publishing rep Matthew Griffin made the following statement on the game's Discord channel. "I confirmed BEFORE Holiday — we are not tied to a console release."
So, Silksong is currently scheduled to arrive at last before this holiday season. That gives us a window of a few months or so in which the highly anticipated title will finally surface.
It's been a long road, but it appears the destination is coming into view. Are you excited for Silksong? Tell us in the comments section below.

Confirmed: there will be no holidays in 2025.
The most incredible part of this story is that Team Cherry actually have a Marketing rep.
At least we finally have a window lol.
Which holiday? There's quite a few.
It's a Christmas miracle!

Heard that one before, Phil Spencer said that all games shown in Xbox showcase 2022 would be available before the next showcase in 2023...
Its 2025.
If it does I’ll wear a silk thong
Are all of the original 2,158 kickstarter backers who are supposed to be getting this dlc turned game a decade later at no additional charge still alive to claim it? Maybe there is some kid out there getting the game from their uncle's will?
"The developers of Hollow Knight have revealed that a full sequel to the game is in the works, and it will be given for free to all 2158 backers of the original Hollow Knight Kickstarter project."

And yes it has been a decade since people pledged money to the kickstarter, Nov-Dec 2014.

Yyyyyyeah I'll believe it when I see it.
Victim of its own over-extended hype. I really enjoyed hollow knight but it wasn't this unprecedented masterpiece it's morphed into whilst we wait on a sequel. There's been loads of similar metroidvanias since hollow knight and a lot of them have at the very least been on a par if not better.
@Dalamar I laughed way to hard at this
I highly doubt it. Maybe a demo will be available, but I think the game will come out when it comes out. I wouldn't put any stake in there not being more delays.
I really don't have any sympathy for this and there is no way it lives up to the wait.
This is getting ridiculous. Just announced it already!
I probably played around 120 hours of the first game. I can't imagine what they've done with this game that could possibly improve on the first.
...in fact I don't want to talk about the first game cause it just makes me want to put everything down and play that.
