Re: Alan Wake 2 Pencils In New Ending, Nightmare Difficulty for Monday's New Game Plus Update

@LordAinsley After reading Remedy's official page on it, I think you can play the game again in any mode in NG+ for the additional story beats. I, like you, enjoyed the pace of the game for what it was and have no interest in dying repeatedly to test my skills. I'll save that for Lords of the Fallen. So if that is of any interest to you, I will be keeping a lower difficulty to enjoy the new content.

@Loamy that helps tremendously! I’m not a stranger to games people label “bad”. One of my favorites this year was Wanted Dead, which asked you to play a particular way to enjoy it. I loved it. So knowing those issues definitely helps me gear myself toward making a purchase on sale for it. I love the premise too, and can forgive a lot of aspects when a studio wants to punch above it’s weight.

Finished Lies of P and started a NG+ run for the platinum. Easily my GOTY.

Also started Spider Man 2 and of course it’s brilliant in story so far and the evolving Arkham Style combat.

Otherwise I’ve debated picking up Baldurs Gate 3 but have reservations since I’m not a CRPG guy. Yet everyone seems to love it. So I don’t know. Convince me I suppose lol.

@J2theEzzo they’ve since patched it on Lies of P. You now have better poise when pulling off certain attacks like Fable Arts. You’ll still receive damage but it won’t break your poise at all. They also made it easier to stagger tougher enemies so you break their poise with less attacks. I wouldn’t be surprised if they patch it one more time to give player better poise and better poise breaking ability.

I’m working my way through Lies of P. Halfway or there about and it’s probably my GOTY. It’s Sekiro Bloodborne and it’s own thing all at once.

Otherwise MK1 storyline and I may jump back into Armored Core 6 after the patch. Supposedly now the Zimmy Songbird OP build is no more. A shame as I was gonna blaze through NG+ and NG++ later.

Out of town with the kids for the week so I may finally finish TOTK on my switch.

Otherwise I have my backbone with me so maybe some Sea of Stars remotely, or if the connection holds up, Lies of P. What a brilliant souls like that is quickly becoming one of my favorite games beside Bloodborne and Elden Ring.

Finished Armored Core 6 and immediately went into NG+

However, Lies of P has me sucked into the world. I’ve been struggling with Scrapped Watchman’s second phase for two days now. I will prevail!

Lastly MK1. What a grin on my face firing this up. I felt like I was back in the arcade for the first time in 30 years.

Like a broken record it feels but I’m almost at the end of Armored Core 6, then I may speed run NG+ and even NG++ as much as possible.

Also wrapping up the final leg of TOTK which I took a break from. I also need to wrap up Remnant 2.

I’d love to get into MK and Lies of P this week.

Lastly Sea of Stars. Taking my time through it and loving it.

Re: Lies of P (PS5) - No Fibs Found in This Souls-Like Great

Could have scored a 5 and I would be on board. The demo sold me, the atmosphere sold me, and I don't care about linearity, jank, or perfection in a game. I just want a solid experience and I expected this one to put forth that. This and Lords of the Fallen will be competing for my time once AC6 is done.

Armored Core 6. Highly satisfying as a puzzle game when you try to solve which pieces best fit which encounter haha.

Otherwise Sea of Stars, which is smartly designed and addictive in its combat loops.

Remnant 2 I’m at the end and keep rerolling other worlds for dungeon variants.

Lastly, I have a weird itch to play COD for the first time in probably 12 years so Modern Warfare 2 campaign is waiting on me.

Re: Sea of Stars Now at 250K Sales, Beats First Year Targets

Well deserved and it makes me wonder what they expected. I always thought The Messenger had done well, but maybe that's within my own little microcosm of friends. Awesome to see such strong sales, and I wonder how much of that is or is not connected to Switch sales as well as price increase announcements with Sony encouraging people to buy it and drop their subs. Critical reviews also really help, and so does reputation of game. So many factors at play.
