Finally getting to FF Tactics, a game I missed growing up. Afterwards, AI Limit will be keeping me busy. Beyond that I downloaded Lego Journey and it’s simple but touching on its subject matter. That’s probably all for now. I finally gave Kingdom Come a proper go before realizing I’d need to dedicate my time to that solely. So it’s on the to do list.
So much to play before all the 2026 games arrive! Happy gaming all!
I constantly sub to premium out of comfort, but never take advantage of the games offered. My goal is to check off at least one game a month from the catalog to “get my money’s worth”.
Finally snagged the platinum for Wuchang! Now onto something lighter; Cosmic Invasion. After that I have no idea where to go. Maybe I finally purchase and tackle AI Limit or FF Tactics. Enjoy all!!
Happy New Year. I have to ask is it “from a PlayStation persuasion” or did you want to say “PlayStation perspective”? it’s been nagging me since I read it earlier.
I really want to give this a spin but I also fear it’s not for me. Once it hits a cheaper price and I’ve got nothing to play I’ll give it a whirl. It’s great to see it getting updates though as it looks like a game that you could get lost in for 30 or for 300 hours.
Out of town and two very sick kids so not much. Using my Portal though I’ve worked on Wuchang Fallen Feathers as I head toward the platinum and some Cosmic Invasion mixed in. I am working on Phantom Liberty and occasional Skate Story chapter as well; but several games in my cart are also calling my name in this latest PSN sale. So much to play!
Easy for me it’s Death Stranding 2. I loved Atomfall too because it was different and respected my time. I guess KCD2 I need to give a whirl but I feel the need to tackle the first one first.
DS2 well deserved. Although I didn’t get Trails and want to (it’ll be my first), I can say that this is a solid list. Never made it around to Yotei either (Sony sequel fatigue), but I know I need to give it a fair shake at some point.
@DennisReynolds amen. BallxPit was very impressive; it’s hard to call SilkSong indie with the budget and time they had. We need a better definition of indie games. To me SilkSong hits levels of AAA Metroidvania development.
Since I’ve been done with the Cronos New Dawn Platinum I’ve been in a funk. Played some Arc Raiders this week, but also got back into Wuchang Fallen Feathers and the Phantom Liberty DLC. I’m leaning toward Divinity OS 2 but I never finished Baldurs Gate so I’m not sure.
Also tested out Marvel Invasion and it’s very fun but also not as much fun by yourself so there that.
Anyway, I think Wuchang will be my next platinum and then maybe I’ll know what I can really sink my teeth into next.
@1970sGamer is it as hard as everyone says?! I keep hesitating on pulling the trigger on buying it because I don’t want to make no progress and feel burnt by the purchase.
@Daleaf enjoy the ride! It’s easy to write it off as a Dead Space inspired game, but there’s 12 Monkeys in there, Silent Hill, Parasite Eve, and a few other really good nods. My advice is know that the game will always know how much ammo you need so don’t stress about ever being low, and charge your shots! Every single person I’ve seen turned off by the game doesn’t charge every shot they fire.
@KingPev Look up a Maelle build. She’s broken enough that with her and a ma ch one gun Verso build (which you don’t even need) you can clear the tower quickly. That should help!
Cronos New Dawn Platinum achieved! What a game. Top 3 this year for sure.
I’ll continue Arc Raiders and working towards level 75. The grind continues.
Beyond that I’m looking to get lost in either finishing Ender Magnolia, more hands of Balatro, System Shock, Shinobi, or maybe purchasing something new like Sektori. We shall see. Enjoy the weeekend all!
@Dyomun Wo Long is amazing. I thought it was underrated and I snagged the platinum at some point when I played it. There is an early skill check boss, and after that, it feels mostly manageable.
Well I’m near the platinum still in Cronos so I’ll wrap that up.
Then more Arc Raiders and some more Where Winds Meet. I also really have enjoyed the PS5 port/remaster of System Shock this week. I’m terrible at it but loving it.
Lastly, I will probably play Ender Magnolia as I abandoned it and need to get back to it.
@Jrs1 with BallxPit I wound up using remote play and using the auto play character combined with every other character to complete levels toward the platinum. Allowed me to check the game every fifteen minutes like I was baking while actually spending the day doing other things. Then last night I played manually for the remaining character or two I had left.
Top 3 game of the year for me next to DS2 and Expedition 33. Definitely deserves more praise and exposure. Takes cues from all the best in the genre while telling a very interesting tale with multiple layers of meaning.
@StitchJones the entire game is top notch as it pulled ideas from every game that it was a love letter to: Singularity, Dead Space, Silent Hill, Parasite Eve, etc. I hope it earns more recognition as time moves forward. Maybe a sequel will bring more into the fold.
@Metonymy I’m not suggesting anything by this but I thought the game was pretty easy first time through and if anything was tricky it was the final boss. I was thrown off in the 4th phase by having to reverse engineer the concrete to hide for the AoE. So here’s hoping round 2 is just as smoothe!
After beating Cronos The New Dawn, I’m working on the platinum. It’s top five games for me this year easily.
I’ll also be working toward the BallxPit platinum as I’ve already beat the base game and am working on cleaning up every stage with every character.
Lastly, Arc Raiders with my mate and Where Winds Meet will get a good look this weekend. I’m really digging the WWM aesthetic, so I hope the game keep me engaged beyond the terrible English dialogue lol.
Last but not least, I need to find something new to play, so maybe Shinobi but we will see.
I'd rather sports games be on a 2-4 year cycle; as a fan of TheShow and FC, I tend only to purchase every two years anyway, unless I am itching to dig into that year's release. And at some point, how much more can we improve certain titles?
I was really looking forward to this for the aesthetic and gameplay, but it sounds like I may have ot hold off until a sale. I'll still check it out, but with so much to play already, my wallet can wait.
Finally I wrap up Cronos The New Dawn and prepare myself for NG+. This sits easily in my top 5 games for the year. It’s inspiring me to go back to finish SH2 Remake.
Still also going top side Solo in Arc Raiders since my mate is out of town and I’ve got no other friends to run amuck with. In addition I’m working on the platinum for BallxPit as I’ve got the last level and some characters to finish up.
When all is said and done Where Winds Meet and Shinobi are my next two adventures.
I guess I’ll re download and start grinding races. I love how much they’ve updated the game and haven’t been back since the initial release so I have a lot to catch up on. That grinding though for parts and cash. That was what stopped me in the first place. Didn’t have the desire to grind races over and over and over again and certainly not against others. I’ll probably grind for awhile and change my mind 😂
This week I’ve been working still on Cronos The New Dawn and it is phenomenal. I’ll dip in and out of Arc Raiders all weekend as I cannot get enough of extracting in a stealth manner, and of course continue with my new obsession BallxPit as I chase completing all of the levels, only one left!
I’ve tinkered in demos for the new Digimon and Silly Polly Beast as well. And I’m debating finally getting to the DLC Phantom Liberty
This week I’ve been working still on Cronos The New Dawn and it is phenomenal. I’ll dip in and out of Arc Raiders all weekend and continue with my new obsession BallxPit as I chase completing all of the levels.
Beyond that I’ve redownloaded Wanted: Dead as lately I’ve been thinking about how much I enjoyed the gun fu experience and I’d like to see how it holds up still.
@hypnotoad I agree with @oram77 that Cronos is a mix of Dead Space, RE, Silent Hill, and pretty much any other horror game of the past decade. It has elements of each that make it an amalgamation of really good ideas. Playing through it now, and will most likely get the platinum.
@Northern_munkey I came to the comments section specifically to look and see if you had given input on WRC! Been itching to get into one without the financial risk if I didn’t enjoy it as much as GT or other racers.
Working with Teens everyday I can confirm everything, including getting an education, is competing against short form media. We are, as a species, as the kids say, cooked.
This week I managed to finish Metal Eden and am working on the platinum. Well worth the half price I paid for it. Wow! It’s cyberpunk Doom and the gameplay itself is much better than the demo I played months back. Glad I took a chance! On Brutal difficulty it feels like Doom Eternal mixed with GhostRunner.
Now on to * Cronos* and most likely small sessions of BallxPit; I’ll also shift back to Wuchang, which I set down for those other games.
I guess I’ll try the first again. Tried the demo or a trial or something, got stuck in the environment about 4 minutes in and promptly decided it needed some love before I went back to it.
Back from camping through a nor’easter I’ve achieved the following and I am playing:
Hell is Us platinum. What a game! Cocoon platinum. I can’t believe I slept on this game for this long.
Currently I’m enjoying the ARC Raiders open server slam. I’ve pretty much quit MP games but I may get back to this.
I started 3 games this week. * Cronos*, which I can tell I’ll adore, Metal Eden, was in sale and I loved Reikon’s previous game Ruiner, and finally Ratshaker, perhaps the most bizarre experience I’ve had gaming in awhile.

After about 30 hours the BallxPit platinum is mine. Top 5 games this year.
Working on the Cronos New Dawn platinum as well now.
Then it’ll be Arc Raiders with my mate, some more Where Winds Meet, and then I started Shinobi and am thoroughly enjoying it.
I’m having the itch to pay and play something new as well but have no idea what I’m in the mood for. Happy gaming all!

I’m camping in the midst of a Nor’easter so not much gaming for me beyond my switch: Monster Train 2
Did manage to wrap up Hell is Us this week. Loved it. Ending was abrupt but the game is one about the journey.
That’s a short one for me this week!
