Devil May Cry is getting a new anime adaptation, Netflix has announced via a very brief teaser trailer. Capcom's beloved action series has always been an obvious candidate for such a project, and this one sounds promising. It's being crafted by South Korean animation outfit Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Dota: Dragon's Blood, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and more), and it's being spearheaded by Adi Shankar, who was the producer on Netflix's lauded Castlevania anime.

Of course, as alluded, this isn't the first time that Devil May Cry has been adapted to the medium of animation. Devil May Cry: The Animated Series first released back in 2007, consisting of 12 episodes. The series was mostly well received, particularly by fans of the games. Here's hoping that this new project is even better. It's "coming soon".
