Less than 1 physical game per PS5 sold. Not a great statistic overall and it's only going to continue decreasing. The PS6 is definitely going to ship without a disc drive only with an optional add on disc drive available for the hardcore that want it.

Charging for skins is a ridiculous practice but people pay these prices and subsidise games for people who also won't pay for skins. Maybe people will eventually wise up to it and they will have to think of new ways to make money.

So you're saying i can buy a game and download it and then go offline with the console and get it refunded. I then have to finish it within 30 days. Thanks for the money saving tip.

The tiring thing is the overall negativity towards Xbox in these articles. Does it really matter if you don't get Forza Horizon 6 on PS5? You bought a PS5 for their game library not Xbox games. The recent batch of releases is a bonus in my view. Asha is just trying to make her mark. Let her crack on and just hope PlayStation don't shut any more studios.

@AhmadSumadi People who buy top of the range cell phones are doing so more as.a status symbol. Plus you can buy a phone for.half the cost of a PS5 now that can run video apps, social media and most games the average person plays on a phone. With PS5 there is no choice for a cheaper models as there is only the one manufacturer.

He worked his way to the top and then Microsoft swooped in and bought the company becoming his boss. I wouldn't be too happy with that if I was inclined to want to be a boss. New bosses always want to do something different and it usually rubs employees the wrong way.

One positive is that the PSVR2 isn't going up in price.
I can see the console being sold out everywhere in the next few days before the hike. It will look good for Sony's numbers though.

I enjoyed it and got my money's worth from it. It wasn't the best game ever but then there is only one of those and I don't think I have found it yet.

They spent a lot of money on being the closer to the show and have blown their marketing budget on that reveal.

@nomither6 I understand the social thing but there are other multiplayer games being released. I know someone who plays just Fortnite, Minecraft, GTA V and Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox and seldom with friends although does play Roblox occasionally with friends on PC. That is all they play and have done for years. They also watch the same few TV shows and movies over and over again. How do people not get bored of the same game after such a long time?

@Medic_alert The subscription services don't help the backlog either. You buy a new game and end up playing something on PS Plus or Game Pass instead before it leaves.

@AdamNovice I guess they are prioritising install base which for Japan is easily the Switch at over 36 million consoles which is about double the PS4 + PS5 in Japan. If they release worldwide then PS4 and PS5 would be more worthwhile.

@Max_the_German You can see it on the PS Store on a browser for free while logged out so you don't need a PS5.

@Max_the_German You can also purchase Astro's Playroom for free on the store. If they included free games then Fortnite and Roblox would likely be duking it out for the top spot.

Not too bad as it includes the season pass which is normally £28 although whoever is buying that at full price these days deserves to be fleeced of all of their money. There will be a sale after Xmas on this anyway.

Isn't everything on Fortnite overpriced? Everytime something new comes out to purchase on Fortnite the numpties seem too come out and chunter on the Internet and usually buy it anyway.

I think the execs have been watching too much tikitok and killed off their braincells with most of their decisions lately. I feel like I get more stupid after watching 10 minutes of tiktok if I can even make it through a video that is. How someone can.make.a.video less than 15 seconds be boring is an impressive skill.

I'm still not sure how this bigger and better sequel got a lower score than the first game it is better than. Clearly these bugs on all versions rip a few points from the score.

They don't go head to head with Xbox so don't have to rush a console out without enough stock to meet demand.

@Lowdefal I suppose the increasing price of the PS5 even before tariffs could be them subsidising the cost of the new console perhaps but if the console is to be more powerful than the PS5 Pro I can't see how else t could be cheaper.

Without a new Xbox i can see a $1000 PS6 on the cards.

I don't think the split is that different for games that aren't on gamepass like the annual sports games. It's not like it is 50/50 for those games.

I am guessing they are testing this to see how it goes down. If they do it again it will show that the people complaining are in the minority.

@KundaliniRising333 It's still a teenager so not allowed to drink in some places. It's these teenagers that need remasters to bring them.up to speed in 2025 rather than the toddlers they tend to focus on at the minute.
