This is all about one game series which will eventually be out of favour. Let Microsoft spend all their cash for a short term gain and let the next big thing move in.

I'll probably get the complete edition on PS5 when they release it with part 2 and the multiplayer next year for the same price.

I've not got the patience or budget for most mobile games. I hope Sony go for a Super Mario Run model but most likely it will be more Mario Kart Tour.

@redd214 It is a sad state of affairs when the most exciting thing from a two hour presentation is a new controller.

It will cost more than a tank of fuel but less than your monthly utility bill.

@Flaming_Kaiser Maybe this character only has a PS5 in the household and not an Xbox or Switch so doesn't care how much games are on those systems.

Recent comments imply Microsoft wanted a Game Pass deal for COD but couldn't due to Sony exclusivity deals so bought Activision so they could do it. They'll keep COD on PlayStation as if someone wants to pay 6 months Game Pass charge for one game they are laughing all the way to the bank until Sony make their COD killer.

@Beerheadgamer82 It is definitely value for money in terms of the incremental price increase. Just saying that they perhaps need to differentiate the tiers in this poll as the Premium update is non existant this month so no one in their right mind would vote that they are "Very Happy."

This poll should be for Extra only. Anyone who is happy with the Premium games for this month is a raging PS fan who would buy a bag of fresh air from Sony for their monthly salary. Extra is good and Premium is non-existent.

Maybe there are some new demos being added this month as a Premium update. Just hoping there is something being added to justify those extra few pennies per month.

Maybe as well as the post COVID decline people are finally starring to move on. Microsoft should have held out a bit longer and could have shaved a few billions off the price they had to pay.

Whatever I play I will play 50% more than I did this weekend last year and try and put a smile on Jim Ryan's face.

This story is basically "Guy who likes games is looking forward to the biggest game of the year." It just so happens that he works for Xbox. I'm sure the head of McDonald's has enjoyed a Burger King or two in the past and Walt Disney I am sure enjoyed movies that his studio didn't make.

@glassmusic Ray Tracing is a jerk. Whenever he comes round my house he turns all the lights on with no regard for my electricity bill.

There a lot of things that too much of is not good for you. Games are good as part of a well balanced diet.

If this sells well at the premium price point I expect original games on the PS5 will creep up over that price. No matter how much better this looks and plays let's not let them set a precedent with this pricing.

£70 is a bit much for this but I would be there day one with £140 for a remade Knack duo. I'd pay £500 for a third game. Get Netflix to make the TV show and watch the cash roll in. Come on Sony. These are the games we all want.

@LiamCroft But that was three games and came in at a price less than the originals. This is charging more for less. Usually remakes are the definitive edition with all the bells and whistles. Sometimes they drop the multiplayer but a lower price point and complete single player experience compensate for that. The PS4 version had DLC included and was cheaper than the original at launch after a fairly late price reduction before release I believe. If Sony can persuade people to spend money on a less complete version than they can most likely already play without paying any extra then we will get more of this from them.

I didn't even register that the multiplayer wasn't present in this version. Charging more for less? Is this a first in a remaster/remake?

I got 5 months elsewhere and then this 6 months and barely watched anything. Ted Lasso season 1 is amazing even if you don't like sport but have yet to watch season 2. I was told to wait for Severance as the ending of season 1 is an annoying cliffhanger.

@solocapers It depends on how generous these rewards are. Wonder how long it would take to get enough points for a full price new game?

I don't think you understand how the internet works.

I think it is unnecessary as the remaster is just fine in my opinion. I'd have to question the sanity of people who bough the original, the remaster and now this at full price each time. If someone is coming at it fresh or after playing the PS4 version from a sale or the PS Plus Collection then crack on.

The cynic in me is thinking they did this to fill up the first party PS5 games. The problem for me is that the 1st game will now look and run better than the 2nd. £70 for this plus a spruced up part 2 and the multiplayer would have pulled me in. The cynic returns though and reckons it will be £70 for the multiplayer when that comes out and then a £70 remaster of part 2 to really clear those last few pennies out of the few fans they have left at that point.

@thefourfoldroot1 Exactly what I was thinking. Being on the service will make people see what all the fuss is about but a lot won't see it through to platinum especially with a speed run trophy.

How will this affect the poor souls that are scalpers? We need to set up a charity for them now before they wilt.

@The_Moose It's how you increase sales. The fans stump up for a disc edition AND a collector's edition with the trinkets.

These people should have been sent a terrible jokey 8-bit style GoW game that stops them installing the full game when it is ready. Punish them for being terribly impatient.

@NEStalgia They're the things talking pictures try and copy but they can't match the level of special effects.

@Ryany I know right. I like to read books in a group too. We take a sentence each. Makes things a lot better although some of the drama is lost depending on the cadence switching from reader to reader.

A new FIFA entry. EA are really spoiling us with these surprises. If the new game involves kicking a ball about I will fall off my chair. In other news, water is wet.

If Man of Medan leaves Extra people will be glad they claimed it when it was included in the Essential membership. Unless of course Sony screw it up and if you claim it in July while being an Extra member you only get it as an Extra addition and when it leaves only Essential members get to keep it.

@Pat_trick Especially when the PS4 Remaster is available with the basic PS Plus membership on the PS5.

@nessisonett It hasn't really changed in years although it's not as good these days as Panda's Palace no longer exists.

Why Skeggy? Was it the only one place was up for it or do some of the developers have fond childhood memories of their visits there?

@IonMagi I have added games via the app and I have my fingers crossed that my net is up later today so I can check on the PS5.

@IonMagi I have been upgraded on the PS App but on my subscriptions it says PS Now is still active and will pay £49.99 in Oct 23 and then PS Plus Premium will take £49.99 in Feb 24 so it isn't working quite right as of yet it seems. No internet at my house so can't actually check what my console says.

Was looking forward to trying this out but the intenet is down in my town and could be for 2-4 days apparently.

@jgrangervikings1 If you only play single player games and always have a backlog then waiting for inclusion in PS Plus or sales makes more sense from a value for money point of view. I can't remember the last time I paid full price for a game on PS to be honest.
Everyone is different and spends their money in different ways. I'll be enjoying some of the PS5 exclusive titles on the new PS Plus.

Reminded me of the original Xbox 360 and Xbox One with their power bricks only much much shinier.

I won't believe it is officially ridiculous until I see some documentation. There is certainly plenty to stick your teeth into though.

I bet Microsoft told them the only way they could do these events was if they did them at the same time!

@PoopScoop You'd be surprised what trash people spend their own money on. One person's trash is another's treasure after all. People with Game Pass can really prove it is trash by not playing it even though they don't have to pay extra for it.
