@Shigurui But VCRs didn't have series link though and the timer function on them was a pain as well so you rarely set anything other than later that day if you were going out. It was a much bigger effort back in the day to keep up with TV shows.

They will be competing for your time and gaming budgets but not on the power front. Same as the Switch vs PS4.

@Khayl The best time for gaming will always be the present as you can play all the new games and the classics. If you have the time of course.

It's an Ubisoft game. I guess a lot of people like me are waiting for the inevitable 95% off sale their games always have.

I hope Sony doesn't do a live service Spiderman game. We saw how well that worked out with SPUMC or whatever Sony called those 4 terrible spin off movies.

The people who buy the Pro though will want a disc drive more often than not as they are the hardcore fans and want the best version of the console and that would be one with a disc drive.

@PloverNutter I said the game was fine. It didn't reinvent the wheel and it is no Arkham Asylum/City but they are a couple of top tier games. Most games pretty much show their full hand within the first few hours. People have written it off as a live service game but the basic game is just a single player/co-op game. Just saying people can now make up their own mind if they don't have to pay to play it.

If you treat Suicide Squad as a single player game it is fine for 15-20 hour runtime. Ignore the live service gubbins. I believe it wouldn't have got such bad reviews if it wasn't sold as a live service game.

Good month. I have been playing Suicide Squad on Xbox and in my controversial opinion it is better than Balatro. Put me on death row now for crimes against good taste if you like but we all have our preferences.

I think I have played 6 new games this year and this would not be in my top 5. It seems that everyone and their dog this year rates it highly so I must be missing something. I prefer Suicide Squad and that game is just above average in my opinion.

Just fired up my Vita earlier today and it still works after not being used for a few years. Back to Sly 2 on there and hopefully finish God of War Ascension on the PS3 as well

Nintendo is in its own bubble. If Sony has no competition in its space then the PS5 Pro and the current game prices will seem cheap compared to the future this character predicts.

So a game with people shooting each other is lower rated than a virtual game of cards despite 'teaching you how to shoot someone in the head'. The world has gone crazy.

I binged the first 8 and I got a bit tired of them by the end but it started strong. I think 2 or 3 eps at a time is the sweet spot.

Since playing the game I have gradually warmed to it. It's not great but it is slightly above average. I have a feeling the end game will be a slog but the basic game and story has held my attention so far and I think I am halfway through.

This time of year I bet a lot of kids play cards with the family. Report them all to social services. They are not old enough to play these games. Get them on their phones ASAP so they can spend their parents' money.

People are still buying the game despite it not winning Game of the Year. Why aren't they buying Astro Bot instead? It's almost like the award is fairly pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Still need to finish the series on the Vita. Got about half way through the second one ages ago and just haven't gone back.

Considering I bought Forspoken for a tenner, it was only a matter of time before it came to PS Plus.

Why do they do a wrap up in December? Does it include last December or does your December gaming end up in a void feeding the PlayStation monster who will come.and devour us all before the PS6 arrives?

If you would rather watch more than play wouldn't that mean you are primarily a watcher rather than a gamer?

I still have my original PS1 in the box from 28 years ago. The box is a bit battered and not sure if it still works but remember getting it in a bundle from Toys R Us for an early Xmas present back in the day.

@JustCameHereToSay Microsoft probably will do it as they are less concerned with co soles these days and more with Game Pass. It's the people who will feel that their 100s of hours on the game on Xbox has been a waste of time as it is no longer the best version despite being the only console version at the time they played it.

@JustCameHereToSay If it does turn up I can't see PSVR2 support but can see them adding Pro support. That would ruffle a few feathers for those that get upset by such things though.

I still play PS4 games on my PS5 and will do the same on the PS6 if Sony let me. Too many good games locked to previous gens to miss out because they aren't up to current standards. Just my opinion of course.

@JustCameHereToSay Is that for all games or just this particular one that you have that stipulation for?
If it came out 6 months ago would you have played it on a regular PS5 or would the lack of VR have stopped you in that instance?

Will it make the Bloodborne remaster happen any quicker?

The number is conveniently round as I assume they made 5 million more units in that final year and they were all shipped out to retailers so I can't see them raising the number again unless they forgot about that other factory that made a few million units.

I got the 30% off continuing Premium sub and mine current one doesn't lapse until 24th Feb next year. With discounted credit it cost me just over £73 for the year. Not sure why I got the offer but I'll take it.

They should have done DLC for the PS5 Pro and then released part 3 with DLC to follow for the PS6.

The problem with price cuts so close to launch is that, if the general public are aware, they may struggle to sell any at full price in future. More tine on sale at a discounted price than full price will not do them any favours.

Stupid skins or trophies/achievements are the only reason I change the default skins. I would never pay for them though.

@JokerBoy322 I've already saved myself £700 from not purchasing the Pro so I already have 7% of the price saved.

I'll wait and run it on the PS6 then.

We barely started the PS5 era with the PS4 lurking in the background. Maybe with a new iteration we can finally leave the 11 year old wedge behind.

If I played Fortnite I would want to deck out my character in Primark gear for 200 V Bucks and that would be the end of my spending. No one can see what I was wearing after they have killed me anyway.

Now I know Empire of Ants is being enhanced for the PS5 Pro I will be selling my kid's organs to get the Pro.

Probably so they can charge more for the Pro plates compared to the slim. If you can afford the console you can afford an extra tenner on the plates think Sony.

At least we will still have the episode about it on Amazon later this year.

I got caught up in the hype and picked the game up and played for about 30-40 mins and gave up. I may give it another go after the update but I think this game is not for me.
