It has to be Code Veronica for me as it is the oldest one that has yet to be remastered.

So the game didn't have enough skins to unlock to keep people playing/paying to unlock the "best" ones. That seems to be the driver of most live service games. That and the game has to be fun to play in the first place. I would like to think ND nailed that part.

If Sony had signed the agreement then they would have guaranteed 10 years. I can see Microsoft screwing them over if they don't.

Don't be so negative. All 12 live service games will be hits. I will forgo sleep and quit my job and spend 2 hours a day playing each one of them to make sure they don't fail. I will spend all my money on them, which will be limited without an income due to quitting my job, until I die, which won't be long without sleeping and having no money for food.

@BeerIsAwesome It could be worse. They could try and be edgy. It's social media so they are just playing the game so as long as you see through it then you're OK. Being cold and precise just doesn't cut the mustard these days.

@AdamNovice Surely they are just piggybacking off Sony's promotion rather than having a dig? Making sure the Series owners don't put their consoles up for sale on ebay just so they can get a PS5 for the MGS3 remake. Basically they are being cheap. Why pay for advertising when someone else can do it for you?

This is going to be more expensive than the Dualsense Edge and for that reason it is going to be dead within weeks.

@RonnieL I agree that people who send death threats are pathetic but unfortunately that is the world of social media these days. It started out promising but descends further from "social" as time goes by.

@thefourfoldroot1 As the UK forms less than 1% of the world's population and it is all about the cloud then they can afford to screw over all the UK Xbox owners and potential cloud streamers. They can just blame it on the CMA and then the death threats to CMA employees start.

With supposedly only 2 million Xbox Series consoles in the UK they may as well just ditch the UK market and plough ahead I guess. The extra income from the new subscribers worldwide should offset the loss.

With all the acquisitions going on, couldn't they just sell them on thus unacquiring them? Or would that cost more than shutting them down?

@NEStalgia Thanks for pointing out the small print. Guess the increase must be from the fact that more PS5 games are now being sold increasing revenue. Guess the price increase is benefitting Sony despite lower sales then.

I assume revenue includes money from live service games which is why Sony is after a larger slice of that pie.

Subscriptions services should be the norm for live service games that aren't F2P to stop the talk of game discs becoming coasters.

Everyone knows the best entry in the series was the movie starring Sully.

If Quidditch was in Hogwarts Legacy it would have probably been half baked anyway. They would rather sell you Quidditch Champions 23 then Quidditch Champions 24 and so on like regular sports games.

With around a quarter of a billion PS4 and Switch consoles sold you can see why they would want cash from their owners.

@NomNom @thefourfoldroot1 Since a couple of generations ago anything can be possible. I assumed Bayonetta would be multiplatform and that ended up a Nintendo exclusive. FFXV was on Xbox so you assume XVI would be but it isn't. At least no one bought a PS5 for Redfall.

There have been console exclusives since the 80s so not sure why it would change now. It is annoying if you don't have multiple consoles but you know going in for a console that it won't get every game released for it.

I think they shouldn't even bother checking the dialogue that the AI spits out for these NPCs so we can all have a giggle at random stuff they say when they release a game. Let the fans do the checking after release.

@Soulless666 Probably didn't even play the game and gave it a one just because they can and that in itself it gets them a little excited. I have yet to play the game so will not pass judgment but looking at a trailer I can already see that it is above a 1 and I am terrible at these Soulslikes.

I'd like to see the people who gave it a 1 their written review justifying why they gave it that score.

Maybe people are getting the games now as they are watching the show and feel they would rather be playing the games? The show is OK but isn't the best thing since sliced bread that the internet seems to think it is. Just my opinion of course.

I kind of like the idea as when you get close to the end you can start planning on what to play next as the end looms on your current game.

I can just imagine in a couple of years Phil asking how the game runs on PS5 and when the team says it runs perfectly he asks them to program a bug into the last level.

I paid less than the annual pass for PS Plus Premium for a year during a sale last year! You've got to have a pinball addiction to pay that kind of money for way less pinball tables than choice of games on Premium. Not even a PSVR2 version makes that seem worth it.

Always online games are a perfect fit for subscription services. You can't feel cheated when it leaves the service when it no longer works anymore.

I hope the deal doesn't go through and Microsoft decide to chuck a load of money at them to just get COD on Game Pass for a couple of years and off PlayStation completely so they can waste their money and find out that people will not be swapping their PS for an Xbox for one game.
