@arsmolinarc I've heard that the Series S has been holding back this Gen for years now.

Last year, Baldur's Gate was delayed because the co-op didn't run well on Series S. Microsoft gave in and dropped the co-op altogether if I remember correctly.

I'm a Series X & PS5 owner. Sometimes, I think Series S is holding back Series X from reaching it's full potential, especially when most 3rd party games run better on PS5 over Series X.

On the other hand, Series S is a great entry-level system perfect for families and kids or the less hard-core gamers. I know a few people who bought a Series S for their children, and they love it, especially with the value of game pass.

The Series S clearly isn't for me, but the value is there for people who want to enjoy this generation of games for around half the price of the more powerful systems.

Gyro aiming is an absolute game changer! I won't be playing Valorant, so this shouldn't bother me, but I'm tired of Xbox controllers holding back gyro from becoming mainstream. Microsoft needs an updated controller asap.

Sometimes, I play Xbox games on my Steam Deck oled thru remote play or streaming just so I can use gyro if I want to. Same with some Playstation games. Gyro support is another reason why I choose Switch versions of games over Playstation/Xbox even with lower resolutions, frame rate, etc.

At this point, Remedy should wait until all of the AW2 DLC has been released and package the game in a Complete Edition with all of the content on disc.

I'm all for physical media, so when it was announced that AW2 would be digital only it kinda killed my hype for it, but I gave in and downloaded the game a week after release to show support.

Time to pre-order physical copies for PS5 & Series X

That and it gives me an excuse to play them again. Good timing, too. Since Cat Quest 3 will be released soon.

One of the weaker months for me. That's fine, though. I have too much to play anyway.
Even though I have Cat Quest 1+2 for Switch, I'll download the PS4 versions and snatch up those easy Platinum trophies.

I'd love for the next game to be a prequel, show some back story of Eve and Tacky's relationship.

@Gravytrain Nice! I've heard nothing but good things about the Series. I'll probably download it to my Steam Deck OLED and play the collection that way instead.

I still haven't played my copy yet for Switch. Guess I'll wait and play the "Complete" edition for PS5 instead. Danganronpa Collection is on the backlog also...

Yes, please! I've been waiting for Capcom to release physical versions of RE 2, 3, & 7 for PS5. Give me a physical release for Series X, too, and I'll double dip on all 3!

Dead Space Remake was one of the best games I played last year!

I did my part and bought 3 copies of DSR (PS5, XSX, & Steam Deck OLED) in hopes that DS2 Remake will be made one day.

I am really looking forward to playing this again with 4K, HDR, 60fps, and trophy support on PS5. I'll wait for a sale, though. I'm assuming there will be a physical release? If not, I'll pass.

Please bring this amazing game to PS5! I enjoyed playing it on my Switch OLED, but the visuals and performance suffered a bit. I'd love to play this again with 4K 60fps in HDR with trophy support on PS5!

This game was so disappointing at launch that I haven't played it much since. I'll wait and see if a Complete Edition comes out on disc and give it another go then. Or download a cheap digital copy for Steam Deck one of these days.

40fps is always a great option! I loved it for Spider-Man 1 & 2. This game looks really fast-paced though, so I'd probably go with 60fps. An uncapped frame rate would also be a nice option for the PS5 Pro.

No need to watch any more videos. I'm already sold on the game. But with so much to play, I'll wait for a sale and pick up a copy around summer or fall.

I payed $10 for the upgrade last night and played a few hours of it this morning.
It looks like the PS4 version to me, which is already one of the best-looking games I've played to date, so that's fine.

Performance mode with the unlocked frame rate is what I prefer. But Fidelity mode at 40fps is nice, too.

I transferred my PS4 save so I have the Platinum. But I'll play through it again to enjoy the Dualsense features, gyro controls, and improved loading times.

It will be nice to see if the game can reach and maintain a steady 120fps in Performance and 60fps in Fidelity when/if a PS5 Pro releases. I'll definitely pick up a physical copy once the price drop to $30 or less.

Nice! I'll transfer my PS4 save over to the PS5 version for the easy Platinum. I'm currently playing through TLOU Part 1 on my Steam Deck to prepare for this. I'll play No Return, but I think it was a missed opportunity that online co-op isn't available for that mode...

I was so close to buying this a few times when it was on sale for $20. Glad I waited. Now I'll be able to play co-op with a buddy and pick up a used copy for dirt cheap later on for the collection.

Lately, I've been buying digital versions of games I own physically if the price is low enough. So far, I bought Mortal Kombat XL & Remothered: Broken Porcelain for $2.99 each.

I have most of these games already, so it's not a big deal they're leaving PS Plus extra. With Diablo 4 taking up most of my gaming time, I wasn't able to get the Platinum for the PS4 version of Stray in time. Oh well, I guess I'll go back to the PS5 version.

I already have Alan Wake on disc, but a digital copy is welcome. Mabey, I'll give COD a try if it has zombies and gyro aiming support. Does anyone know if it has both of those? I haven't played a COD game in years...

Give me any reason to go back to this masterpiece. I double dipped and bought a copy for Series X a few weeks ago just to play it again. After getting all the achievements, I still wanted more, lol. With gyro support and the Dualsense Edge, PS5 version is my preferred way to play. I'm debating on picking up a PSVR2 just to play this and RE Village in VR.

June 2nd is my birthday, so the timing couldn't be better. My PS Plus Premium subscription isn't due until December, so I'll probably wait until Black Friday to renew that. I'd like to pick up another Dualsense Edge. A discount on that would be nice. Or a 4TB SSD. If not, then I guess I'll wait and see what games go on sale.

I started playing Lake this morning and it's been kicking me off every 15 mins. Luckily you can pause the game and save anytime. But it's still annoying to what is Otherwise a very relaxing and enjoyable game so far.

Even though I have the Ellie Edition, I couldn't pass up the digital version of TLOU Part 2 for $10.
60fps and gyro aiming makes this a joy to play on PS5, along with TLOU Part 1.

@tallythwack The FLESH system looks impressive! I watched the Digital Foundry video, and it runs at 1728p 60fps on PS5. That sounds good to me!

I didn't have high expectations for this tbh, even though I like the first Dead Island. I'm looking forward to playing this co-op with a friend soon. My copy should be here tomorrow. As long as it better than the disappointing Dying Light 2, I'm all in.

After getting the Platinum on The Last Of Us Part 1 last year. I've been meaning to play Part 2 again (even though I have the Platinum in that also) so I started that last night. Other then that, on Switch I'm playing Bayonetta Origins. I ordered physical copies of Dead Island 2 & Fatal Frame Mask of the Luner Eclipse, but they won't arrive until Tuesday.

It's hard to complain about free content to a great game such as RE 4 Remake. I prefer Mercenaries in co-op though (RE 5, 6, Revelations 1 & 2). Playing solo gets boring pretty fast. But I'll give it a shot. I suppose I still complained 😕

Capcom has been on a roll (to me) since RE 7 Biohazard, releasing hit after hit consistently. RE 4 Remake continues that. Definitely my game of the year. I'm looking forward to the Mega Man Battle Network collection and Street Fighter 6. Bring on RE Code Veronica next, please.

Absolutely amazing game! But I won't be playing NG+ anytime soon. Mabey I'll get to it before a new GOW game comes out. Too many games in my backlog, PS Plus Premium, & Game Pass to go back to this. Besides I already have the Platinum.

120hz mode is a very welcome update. I was pretty excited to play this a few months before launch but ended up being disappointed.

It's not a terrible game but it definitely didn't live up to the expectations I had for it. But I still need to go back and finish it. Mabey I'll boot up my Series X and do that this weekend. At least it's on Game Pass so I didn't waste money buying it.

@Mgene15 Yeah, there are too many games to play, not including Game Pass & PS Plus Premium. All these new games each and every month plus my backlog. I can't keep up. Send help 😂😂😂.

I'm still trophy hunting on Resident Evil 4 Remake.

My physical copies of Bayonetta Origins & Metroid Prime Remastered came in yesterday.
I started Bayonetta Origins last night and the beautiful art style looks amazing on my OLED display.

Other then that I still have to finish Octopath Traveler 2, Hogwarts Legacy, & Fatal Frame Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. So I'll be busy for a while.

The prices are dropping so fast on these. Sony made a better decision when it comes to SSD expanded storage over Xbox.

I bought a 1TB WB Black SSD for $220 at the end of 2021 to a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro at the beginning of this year for $200.

Paying $360 for a 2TB Seagate SSD for my Series X seemed like such a rip off in comparison.

At this rate I'll be able to upgrade to a 4TB SSD for my PS5 by the end of this year or early next year. With over 80 physical PS5 games not including PS Plus Essential/Premium more storage is already needed.

Amazing game! I'll gladly double dip and buy physical copies of this and Octopath Traveler 2 for PS5 when the price drops to $30 or less. Hopefully Octopath Traveler 1 comes to Playstation also.

@dschons The gyro does feel a little off. I'm assuming part of the reason is because Leon has weapon sway. I'm pretty sure I was able to aim left and right with the right stick while using gyro, but not up and down. I'll have to play the demo again and see. I hope the full game will add options to adjust the gyro sensitivity. Either way, it's better than no gyro at all. I'm still able to pull off head shots. But the gyro in Resident Evil Revelations on Switch, for example, still feels better.

@dschons It does? Wow! Capcom finally added gyro to a RE game that isn't on Switch. I'm even more hyped to play RE 4 Remake now! Thanks for the info!

After getting the Platinum on Dead Space Remake, I've been counting down the days until this release.

Put my pre-order in yesterday thru Best Buy, and it comes with a Steelbook case, which will go nicely with my RE2 & RE3 Steelbooks.

Ordered my Dualsense Edge from Playstation Direct last night. Once I got used to back buttons, it's hard to go without them. I wish the battery life was better but I game at my desk with charging stands and cables within arms reach. Also having only 2 back buttons instead of 4 is disappointing. But it's not a deal breaker.

@get2sammyb Thank you! Impossible difficulty was a little stressful but not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. Very enjoyable game! Now I'm really looking forward to RE 4!

Deliver Us The Moon was a pleasant surprise and fun Platinum a few weeks back on my PS5 thru PS Plus Premium. I had no idea another one was being released so soon. With so many other games to play, I'll wait and see if this comes to Game Pass & or PS Plus Premium.

Dead Space is easily my game of the month/year so far for PS5. I enjoyed it so much that after I finished it, I went back and played/beat Dead Space 2 on my Series X this morning. I also played through Dead Space 3 co-op about a month ago. I'll be starting an NG+ of Dead Space Remake today!

I'm playing Persona 3 & 4 on Switch.

I picked up a copy of DBZ Kakarot for PS5 but have yet to play it.

The game was disappointing and very buggy at launch. I still prefer Dying Light 1. But it's been a while, so maybe I'll jump back into some co-op on Series X and finally finish the campaign at least...

@monostat7 I don't have a PC. But I'm fine with the 360 version thru backward compatibility on Series X. I play at my desk on the smaller oled tv (48 inches), and with inky blacks and Auto HDR, it still looks good.
