PS Plus Premium Games for June and July 2025 Confirmed, Resident Evil 2, 3 This Summer

Will be pretty pissed if these arent avaliable a la carte

If these games have trophies then it's a day 1 for me.

Let me buy them separately. I really need to finish the OG RE3 Nemesis and I still need to complete Claire's campain the the OG RE2

I love Deus Ex with a passion but yeah, just play the PC version lmao. It would be like Half-Life PS2 getting a port!

@Oram77 I’m afraid they won’t have them. All the other capcom games don’t have trophies unfortunately.

@nessisonett the only downside is the PC version doesn't have controller support. I keep holding out hope that the GotY Edition on Steam will get it one day.

I am so glad for RE3 coming to Plus. Since I finished REDC with much needed rewind&save features I was looking forward to playing RE3 since remake cut a lot from what I've heard. Great news!

I look forward to RE2 and 3. Hopefully, they will once again make the games free if you have the legacy versions

I love how they give Plus updates at the SOPs now. Especially when it comes to the classics. Now if they would just make Capcom and Namco add trophies to there games.

Glad to see Twisted Metal 3 and 4 get some love. Those two are underrated.

Twisted Metal 3 & 4 will be interesting to revisit. I enjoyed them as a kid. But that was over 20 years ago...

Hoping we get trophies for RE2 & 3 and Capcom patch them into RE 1 and Dino Crisis 1&2

Finally, the definitive version of RE3 will be playable on PS5.

Why won't they give me champions of norrath?

I bought RE 2 and RE 3 PS1 classics on PS3/PSP eons ago so both games definitely will be eventually free just like Dino Crisis and RE 1 Directors Cut. But i'm pretty sure they will not have trophies again :/

I'm curious to try Deus Ex 1 though. I never get the chance to play it but i wonder if the gameplay still fun to play if it compare to Human Revolution and Mankind Divided...

@PuppetMaster The original Deus Ex shows its age pretty thoroughly by comparison to the newer ones, but its still an incredible game, even on PS2. Absolutely worth playing it if you can't access the PC version.

@PuppetMaster - Don't expect to be doing Adam Jensen style takedowns or anything like that, the gameplay is very basic but all the emergent sim stuff is there. Its a really solid port and shouldn't suffer from framerate drops and long loads as it did on PS2. Definitely worth a playthrough.

Here's a pretty comprehensive article on the differences between the port and PC version. The PS2 version had to make some necessary map changes but is surprisingly intact.

RE 2 original is the best version. Can't wait to play it again!

If I had premium I'd definitely go for RE3 as it never got a proper remake. However, I still have the Gamecube version tucked away, so I'll dog it out at some point.

@AndyKazama At least it got a faithful remake. I'm ok with the ps4 version tbh.

@DTfearTheBEARD Be prepared for a much better time with RE3. However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the original 2 over the remake.

@PuppetMaster - You're welcome mate. Also worth keeping in mind is that Deus Ex takes place after Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. Both of those games are prequels to Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisible War.

@AtlasLivesAgain don't get me wrong. RE2 remake is great. I just find RE 2 original peak.

@AndyKazama That's fair, those fixed camera angles are glorious when you're in the mood.

I own both RE2 and 3 in my account. Let's hope I'll be able to access them on my PS5, just like it happened with RE Director's Cut

@nessisonett hate to say it but the ps2 version of halflife is lowkey better than the original in some aspects.
At the very least it is a VERY good port

@AtlasLivesAgain Just to be "that guy" I would whole heartedly recommended it above the remake, as much as I love that version. The second scenario and the way A and B are done is so much better. It has better music (I play the remake using the PS1 soundtrack) and it's just a ton of fun, of course I am completely biased. It's the opposite for me regarding the 3rd game. If the remake of that was longer and had more content such as spending more time in the city, it would be superior. Even then I prefer it. I could just never gel with the original Resi 3 🤷🏻

@Stale-Bread I understand, but a key feature missing from RE3 remake is also Nemesis showing up whenever you sit around too long. He was always searching for you. The new game just has him bust through in scripted events only. I would recommend giving the OG another shot, but I suppose if you know the answers to the puzzles it's less likely you'll see him as it's kinda random, but more likely if you spend longer in one area. Although, you could also randomly walk into a place where he was searching, too. If they had done that and the cut content, I'd also say RE3make was better, but it isn't.
